CHAPTER 431: CHAPTER 431: ADRIAN WALYON, LET’S DIVORCE

Summer Sutton stood frozen in place, staring blankly at the scene, as if she hadn’t recovered from what just happened.

"Summer!" Adrian Walyon pushed Grace Wood aside and tried to walk towards her, but Summer turned her head abruptly and stormed out of the Wood Family residence.

She walked quickly, bumping into several people as she passed through the reception, but she didn’t care.

She walked faster and faster, eventually breaking into a run.

After leaving the Wood Family house, she didn’t wait for Adrian, hailed a cab, and left the scene.

"Summer Sutton!" Adrian ran after her, trying to block her path, but the car Summer was in disappeared into the night like the wind.

Adrian kicked a tree in frustration, opened the car door, got in, and started the engine with a roar, following her.

Summer’s car vanished after leaving the Wood Family house, and no one knew where she’d gone.

After Adrian chased after her, he had no direction.

He made several calls to her, but Summer didn’t answer.

Helpless, Adrian drove back to Morning Garden to see if she’d returned home.

He drove slowly, searching along the way.

To his relief, when he returned home, Summer had already come back.

She stood with her back to him beneath the floral wall on the terrace, seemingly lost in thought.

"Summer..." Adrian softly called her name.

Summer just stood there rigidly, without any reaction.

"It’s not what it looked like," Adrian slowly walked toward her, trying to explain.

The two were husband and wife, and Adrian could understand any emotions Summer might feel after witnessing this.

Even if she reacted unreasonably because of it, Adrian wouldn’t mind.

However, they’ve been through so much, and Adrian felt that Summer should at least hear him out.

She should know better than anyone the kind of person he is.

Summer still faced away from him, her gaze empty in the garden, continuing to ignore him.

She seemed to be pondering something, her silence a little eerie.

This silence made Adrian’s brow furrow even deeper.

"I’m talking to you!" Unhappy with her silence, Adrian placed his hand on her arm and gave her a gentle tug.

But Summer remained silent.

Her gaze continued to be vacant, and it was unclear what she was thinking.

"Speak!" Her quietness caused Adrian’s expression to gradually darken, and inside, he felt an inexplicable sense of foreboding.

Summer slowly turned her face towards him and stared at him for a long time, her lips parted slightly, and she finally spoke, "Adrian Walyon, let’s get divorced!"

The garden was already quiet.

Her voice seemed amplified countless times.

Adrian’s mind briefly exploded, his hand, which was holding hers, froze mid-air, as though he couldn’t quite believe what he’d heard, "What’s the reason? Just because of tonight’s insignificant matter?"

If she was bothered by tonight’s events, Adrian could understand.

But to escalate it to the point of divorce seemed like overreacting to Adrian.

He already concluded that Summer was being unreasonable, so Summer decided to be unreasonable to the end, "Shouldn’t I care? I caught my man stripping with another woman in the hallway, playing a passionate scene, and this counts as insignificant? What exactly would be serious? Do I have to catch you in bed?"

"I told you it’s not what you saw! Which eye did you use to see us being passionate?" Adrian was getting angry; did she not listen to a word of his explanation?
