CHAPTER 433: CHAPTER 433: THE WORD "LEAVE" DOES NOT EXIST IN MY DICTIONARY!

No sound of his footsteps came from the hallway. The lights downstairs remained on throughout the night. As long as they stayed lit, Summer Sutton kept staring at them...

The next day, she went downstairs a bit early.

She looked like she hadn’t slept well last night, with heavy bags under her eyes and her whole face showing exhaustion.

However, she applied light makeup to cover some of it.

Adrian Walyon obviously hadn’t slept all night. He glanced sideways at her and had been staring at her since she came downstairs.

Summer acted as if she didn’t notice, and just like usual, she went to the kitchen and prepared breakfast for the two of them. She sat quietly at the dining table and ate her breakfast. Around nine o’clock, she handed him an agreement. "I finished my part last night, Mr. Walyon, please take a look. If there are no objections, just sign it!"

Standing beside him, she waited quietly.

Without seeing him sign, she seemed unwilling to give up.

Adrian gave the paper in her hand a brief glance, looked at it but did not take it.

The divorce agreement was drafted by her, with no clauses about property. There were many lines about not interfering with each other after divorce.

Her goal was simple. All she wanted was the divorce, not a penny of his money.

All she wanted was for the two of them to have no further entanglements.

Such an agreement felt utterly ridiculous to Adrian.

"Mrs. Walyon really makes it easy to brush off!" he mocked coldly.

Summer ignored his words and simply reminded him, "If there are no other objections, Mr. Walyon, just sign it! After signing, we can head to the Civil Affairs Bureau."

Adrian gave her a cold glance, snatched the document from her hand, but didn’t pick up a pen.

In Summer Sutton’s stunned gaze, he tore up the agreement she drafted into pieces in a few swift moves.

He let go, allowing the fragments to fall into the trash can, and stood up.

"In my dictionary, there’s no word for ’divorce!’" he tossed back a sentence, his face expressionless, and headed upstairs.

Summer stood rigidly in place, her eyes following his direction. Her mind went blank for a moment before she replied faintly, "It’s okay, I’ll wait for the annulment after two years of separation."

As long as they are separated for two years, by then, if he refuses mediation, the court will grant the divorce.

Adrian turned his head, glaring sharply at her, his eyes fierce as if he wanted to strip her bare.

Summer ignored him, went upstairs on her own, returned to the room, packed some of her things simply, and dragged the suitcase out of Morning Garden.

She packed very few things, mostly books in the suitcase.

Everything in Morning Garden was a gift from Adrian, clothing and jewelry and such; she didn’t take anything.

Not even the unity she had with Adrian.

Adrian stood on the spiral staircase, just watching her leave, reaching out several times to pull her back, but seeing the determined look on her face, he withheld the impulse.

Summer kept her back very straight, and without looking back, she continued on her way.

Her steps were steady, so steady that it seemed deliberate, as if afraid a little disruption would reveal her thoughts to him.

After stepping out, she didn’t call for a cab and just dragged her suitcase aimlessly down the street, not knowing where to go.

She didn’t know how long she walked until a beeping sound came from behind.

Summer paused, slowly turning her face.

"What are you doing standing on the roadside early in the morning?" Ariella Sawyer sat in the car, frowning as she looked at her as if she had run away from home.
