CHAPTER 439: CHAPTER 439 SUMMER’S SCHEME

There was no news about him in the media; what exactly Adrian Walyon was doing now, Summer Sutton had no idea.

On a day like today, as a member of the Walyon Family, whether he would show up, she also didn’t know.

He should come, right?

Since she had already left, his relationship with Grandpa should have eased, shouldn’t it?

Quietly sitting alone in a corner, Summer Sutton’s gaze calmly fell upon the people at the scene, surveying the area in a sweep, but did not catch sight of Adrian Walyon.

She did, however, notice the Old Master.

The elder turned his head, following her direction with his gaze, caught sight of her presence at the scene, slightly furrowed his brows, yet didn’t say a thing.

He didn’t act overbearing like Betty Chapman, insisting on driving her out.

Withdrawing his gaze, the Old Master continued chatting with the guests.

Summer Sutton lingered at the scene for a while, not seeing Adrian Walyon, she refocused entirely on her own matters.

Getting up, pretending to casually stroll, she took a round at the scene, found Gina Sutton’s lounge, and inconspicuously observed inside.

Gina Sutton was retouching her makeup, presumably cautious about unexpected visits, no servant was arranged in the room.

Her phone lay constantly at her fingertips, within the easiest reach.

From time to time, her gaze would drift to the phone screen.

Summer Sutton knew she was awaiting that man’s call.

Summer Sutton didn’t know the specific identity of that man, nor where to start investigating.

However, if her guess was correct, and that man appeared at the wedding scene today, as long as she kept discreetly watching Gina Sutton, she believed she would eventually see him appear.

She checked her watch, there were fifteen minutes left until the wedding.

The room still had only Gina Sutton sitting alone; Ryan Walyon hadn’t shown any interest in seeing her.

Gina Sutton seemed very uneasy; Summer Sutton saw her pick up the phone seven or eight times, her fingers twisting and untwisting the wedding gown.

During this period, a hotel attendant, likely fearing Gina Sutton might be hungry, approached with a tray.

Passing by Summer Sutton, he regarded her as a guest, showing no surprise.

About to enter the room, Summer Sutton suddenly took a dessert from the tray, leaned in, and sniffed it.

"Smells wonderful!" While the attendant was distracted, her hand swiftly placed something within the decorative flowers on the dessert plate.

"Seems tasty." She smiled lightly and, nonchalantly, placed the dessert back on the tray.

"There are many more in the self-service area; miss, feel free to help yourself." The attendant courteously reminded her, pushed open the lounge door, and walked in.

"Miss Sutton, I’ve brought you some refreshments. If you’re hungry, do fill your stomach first." Quietly placing the food down, the attendant then retreated out.

Gina Sutton appeared lost in thought; despite the attendant’s loud voice, she didn’t notice, not even lifting her face.

Summer Sutton’s objective had been met; she didn’t linger outside the room for long, and after the attendant left, she followed suit.

However, she didn’t depart from the scene but went to the grass outside the lounge, directly below Gina Sutton’s window.

She could clearly hear noises inside the room, though Gina Sutton couldn’t see her position.

Squatting beneath the window, using the wall to conceal herself, she casually fiddled with the flowers in the garden outside, yet her ears were attentively tuned into the happenings in the lounge.
