CHAPTER 576: CHAPTER 576: THE PERSON WHO WILL SPEND THEIR LIFE WITH HER IS ME
Her voice was so loud that it echoed in the office, but Adrian Walyon acted as if he hadn’t heard it, still busy with his work.
Diana Wood didn’t care what he was busy with; feeling furious, she walked over in a few steps and directly shut down his computer.
Adrian Walyon’s data wasn’t even saved.
"I’m talking to you!" She stood in front of him with hands on her hips, her face stern.
Adrian held his forehead, rubbing his temples repeatedly.
He was reconciling accounts, using a computer, not a notebook!
After the power was turned off, the unsaved things were effectively all gone.
"I told you, as long as the company hasn’t returned to your name, you mustn’t anger grandpa. Come back with me now!" Diana, ignoring everything else, grabbed his hand and forcefully pulled him out of the office.
Adrian had seen how persistent she could be.
Now she was only causing a scene at the company, but if Adrian didn’t go back with her today, he feared she might directly make a scene at Morning Garden.
Adrian had a terrible headache, rubbing his temple nerves again and again. After much deliberation, he eventually went back to the Walyon Family with Diana.
The reason was simple, he just didn’t want Diana to disturb the peace of Morning Garden.
While in the car, thinking of Summer Sutton, Adrian called her.
From the time she finished making the cake at seven, Summer had been sitting on the sofa waiting for him.
When the call connected, Adrian could clearly feel her joy on the other end of the line.
"Are you coming back?" Summer Sutton held the phone, her voice full of anticipation.
Adrian remained silent for a long while after her words, unwilling to disappoint her, but also reluctant to lie to her, "Honey, I need to go back to the Walyon Family, but I’ll be back soon. Wait for me at home."
Summer seemed to be stunned for a moment, and after a long silence, she answered with a soft "Mm."
Her voice was light, seemingly calm, but Adrian could imagine how she felt at this moment.
Adrian’s heart felt as if it were being tugged by a hand, feeling particularly unpleasant.
"Eat first, don’t wait for me, don’t starve," he advised before hanging up the phone.
Diana sat in the back seat, listening to him talk from beginning to end.
With her arms crossed in front of her, face stiff, she spat out unpleasantly, "I really don’t understand what’s so good about that Summer Sutton, why you care so much. Look at what a mess you’ve made with your family for a woman?"
She had never taken a liking to Summer Sutton from the start, and Adrian was used to it long ago.
"Her virtues I know well enough. Madam Walyon is not the one she will be spending the rest of her life with, so it’s irrelevant whether you think she’s good or not," Adrian replied indifferently, closing his eyes lightly, saying no more.
He had no intention of paying Diana any mind; even when getting in the car, he deliberately avoided her and went to the front seat.
Such behavior made Diana want to hit someone in rage.
But he was her son, even if Diana was angry enough at him to grind her teeth, he was still her own flesh and blood, nothing could change that.
Inside the car, no one spoke again.
After the driver took them back to the Walyon Family, Adrian walked ahead, ignoring her behind him, and went straight into the house.
Tonight, Old Master had prepared a lot, and when he saw him, his eyes clearly contained delight.
"Since you’re back, let’s have a meal together." Tossing this sentence to him, Old Master sat down at the dining table first.
Adrian followed with a blank expression, sitting beside him.
