Chapter 59: Leaving Him
CHAPTER 59: CHAPTER 59: LEAVING HIM
Her voice was quite loud, and Adrian Walyon heard it downstairs. There was no need to guess what happened.
He lightly curled the corners of his lips and elegantly used the knife and fork for his meal. This morning, he was in an excellent mood.
It had been raining all day, but now it stopped.
When Summer Sutton walked out, the sky had swept away the gloom that had accumulated the entire night; the air was exceptionally clear.
Arriving at school, she initially planned to go to the dorm to fetch a few books needed for the day’s classes.
Just as she entered, she overheard some roommates discussing.
"I heard that our dorm supervisor has been replaced."
"Really? Wasn’t she fine before?"
"Yeah, no idea what happened, just changed like that."
"Could it be that she angered a big shot at the school?"
Summer Sutton walked past them suspiciously and asked, "When did this happen?"
"It was replaced last night," Zoe Baxter said.
Summer Sutton went to her bookshelf, took down the books needed for class, and contemplated the matter while heading to the teaching building.
Why did she feel this matter was related to Adrian Walyon?
Such a clean and efficient approach, isn’t it Adrian’s style?
To confirm, she sent Adrian a text message: Is the dorm supervisor thing your doing?
Adrian, always direct in his actions, swiftly replied with four words: So what if it is?
Summer Sutton stared blankly at her phone, lost in thought over his message.
Was he venting his anger for her?
"What are you looking at? You’ll be late!" Zoe Baxter pushed her lightly.
Summer Sutton snapped back to reality and followed her into the classroom.
She was now a sophomore, and the school had relatively few classes. She only had two sessions in the afternoon, ending the day’s courses.
She initially planned to return to the dorm but unexpectedly received a phone call from Diana Wood.
"If you’re done with classes, come home for a bit! I’ve already arranged for someone to wait outside the school." Without giving her a chance to respond, Diana hung up.
Summer Sutton didn’t quite like the aura of the Walyon Family’s residence, always feeling oppressed once inside.
However, since Madam Walyon took the initiative to call, it seemed impolite not to go.
Summer Sutton pondered for a moment and headed towards the school’s gate.
By the time she went out, the family’s driver was already waiting outside.
"Miss Sutton, this way please!" The driver respectfully waited for her to get in the car, then drove her straight to the Walyon Family’s mansion.
When she arrived, several elders of the Walyon Family were present.
Old Master Walyon sat on a wicker chair in the center of the hall, gazing at her with a stern look.
Diana Wood and her husband sat on either side of Old Master Walyon, and there were two other middle-aged men who were probably Adrian’s uncles or the like.
The scene made Summer Sutton feel as if she was being interrogated.
Diana Wood looked at her with a tightly furrowed brow, and her tense face gave Summer Sutton a sense of crisis.
Summer Sutton didn’t know what had happened, but being suddenly called home, she knew something must have gone wrong.
Dazed, she let the crowd scrutinize her without speaking, and Diana Wood tossed her a phone, "Look at this yourself! Explain properly what’s going on!"
Summer Sutton stiffly received the phone, glanced at the screen, and suddenly froze.
Diana Wood must have been investigating her recent situation; the opened web page was the forum of Summer Sutton’s school.
Summer Sutton’s reputation at school had always been bad because of Adrian Walyon.
The hottest topic on the school forum about her was the incident of being photographed in a hotel room with Adrian.
