Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 72: Already Kissed
CHAPTER 72: CHAPTER 72: ALREADY KISSED
Feeling too bored in the hall, Summer Sutton went to the garden alone.
The Walyon Family was bustling tonight, and even the garden was brightly lit.
Summer Sutton wandered aimlessly alone in the garden.
Northtown is a city well-suited for growing maple trees; maple scenery is visible everywhere on the streets.
The Walyon Family mansion has many maples as well, their red leaves almost setting the night ablaze.
Summer Sutton walked a little further and unexpectedly bumped into a figure.
A man, exceedingly handsome, stood there; the hazy night couldn’t hide his brilliance.
He possessed a nocturnal aura—mysterious, reserved, and quiet.
The garden lights shimmered, merging him with the red maples into a painting as he stood silently.
He was slightly turned away from Summer Sutton, playing with his phone; at this hour, everyone else was lively in the living room, but he chose solace here.
Summer Sutton felt out of place at tonight’s event and came to the garden, unexpectedly finding a kindred spirit.
The man’s gaze slowly swept towards her, squinting as he stared at her.
"Am I disturbing you?" Summer Sutton felt her appearance was somewhat abrupt.
The man toyed with the phone in his jade-light-illuminated fingers, put it away, and shook his head.
Summer Sutton didn’t know his identity, nor whether he was a guest or one of the Walyon family.
"The moonlight here is pretty good!" she exclaimed, not chatting further with him, and walked past him.
She wasn’t familiar with the Walyon Family; she’d never wandered here before.
After walking a short distance, she suddenly realized she might have gone too far.
"Where am I?"
"Should I go left or right?"
"I think I’ve walked this path before."
Though she had walked away, the man behind could still hear her muttering.
Watching her, he advised, "Turn left, go straight, and you’ll return to the banquet hall."
Summer Sutton turned her head, glanced at him, who was more striking than the maple scenery under the moonlight, and thanked him, "Okay, I got it, thank you!"
Turning her head, her figure disappeared into the garden.
When she returned to the banquet hall, the Walyon family members were still busy.
Old Master Walyon was accompanied by Adrian Walyon, surrounded by a large group of guests, chatting.
Occasionally, his eyes darted around.
He turned his head and whispered to Adrian Walyon beside him, "Where has Jimmy Evans gone?"
"He must have stepped out with something at hand," Adrian replied.
"Hmm." The old master didn’t inquire further.
Adrian Walyon glanced sideways, spotting Summer Sutton standing alone in the crowd.
She truly didn’t fit in at this kind of event tonight, unable to socialize, knowing no one.
Standing there alone, no one approached her.
Adrian Walyon, feeling she looked pitiable, found an excuse, extricated himself from the crowd, and walked straight towards Summer Sutton.
Summer Sutton sat in a quiet place, eating snacks.
She hadn’t had dinner tonight and was terribly hungry at this hour.
Adrian walked over, sat beside her, and took Summer Sutton’s wrist, transferring a piece of cake she was about to eat into his mouth.
Summer Sutton was taken aback and reminded him, "I already took a bite."
"We’ve kissed, do you think I’d care?" Adrian scoffed.
Summer Sutton felt choked by his words.
His servant had said he was a germaphobe.
