Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 92 He’s Back
CHAPTER 92: CHAPTER 92 HE’S BACK
Summer Sutton’s cooking skills are actually quite good. Not at a chef-level, but she’s always been taking care of herself – how could she not know the simple stuff?
Granted Adrian Walyon’s permission, she turned and went to the kitchen.
While preparing dinner, Adrian received a phone call.
It was Ryan Walyon calling; it seemed there was something important at the company that required Adrian to come over for discussion.
Summer Sutton peeked out from the kitchen, quietly listening to Adrian’s voice in the living room. Watching him getting ready to leave, she secretly rejoiced.
Isn’t this Ryan Walyon helping her out of a crisis once again?
"Heading out?" She looked at Adrian in the living room, unmistakably asking.
"Yeah." Adrian responded to her.
"Be careful on the road." Summer waved to him.
Adrian turned his head to look at her, hesitating before leaving.
"If the matter is handled quickly, I’ll come back for dinner as soon as I can." His dark eyes gazed at her as he pondered, then spoke.
"No worries, no worries, it’s fine if you don’t come back tonight if you’re busy." Summer seemed in a great mood, her face lively and vibrant, quite unlike her gloomy demeanor earlier today when faced with him.
Adrian raised his eyebrows slightly.
Summer, realizing she had misspoken under his gaze, immediately corrected herself, "I mean, if you’re busy, you don’t have to come back; after all, work is more important. But if you can come back, try to come back."
Adrian walked step by step towards her, his body pressing towards her, cornering her against the wall, his arms propping up on either side of her body, his tone slow, "Want me to come back?"
This question needs asking?
Summer’s inner answer was definitely no, but she didn’t dare nod.
With Adrian’s personality, without a satisfactory answer, he probably wouldn’t bother going out; he’d directly press her to the ground until he heard the answer he wanted, right?
Summer is a smart person, knows how to adapt.
Her hand rested on his shoulder, she lightly nodded, "Yes."
Adrian’s shimmering eyes danced with a faint ripple; his thin lips curled slightly, "I’ll try to come back early then."
Summer’s heart sank, but she had to nod, "Okay."
Adrian, satisfied, withdrew from her, took his coat and left the villa.
Listening to the sound of the car driving away outside, Summer let out a gentle sigh.
She only hoped he was really busy tonight and couldn’t come back.
They’d only been married for two days, and she was already feeling overwhelmed. If Adrian continued tonight, she’d really break down.
Once Adrian left, the air seemed suddenly less suffocating.
Summer went back to the kitchen, continuing to prepare dinner.
Only having dinner herself tonight, she just casually cooked two small dishes – beef with green peppers, and a plain cabbage.
Resolving dinner simply, she went upstairs to read.
...
Adrian drove straight to Walyon Clan Tower, arriving as Ryan Walyon was hosting the emergency meeting.
Walyon Clan Group’s business covers a wide range, including game development and film investment.
Walyon Clan originally designed a gaming plan, but unexpectedly encountered theft of commercial secrets, which were leaked.
For businesses, the greatest fear is the leaking of secrets, resulting in direct losses impacting billions, even tens of billions.
"How did this happen?" Adrian strode in, asking with a cold face.
"Still investigating, the police have been notified. They will investigate, and I’ll cooperate on my side as well. But the most important thing now is to think about how to mitigate the losses," Ryan said.
