Whenever she refused a money-making opportunity because of her, she would pay her agent and assistant their due fees from her own pocket.

So when Lucy Wade invited them to dinner, neither her agent nor her assistant objected.

“Mmm, well then, we’ll have dinner together. Carolline has eaten already, but she can have some soup,” Mia Parker let go of Carolline and casually took Lucy’s hand. Seeing this, Lucy just smiled and accepted Mia’s familiarity.

Carolline didn’t say a word, but the other two struck up a conversation.

The group arrived at the private room, and soon their Pork Rib Clay Pot soup arrived. Carolline sipped some soup, ate some vegetables, and quietly listened to Lucy and Mia’s talk.

She was just there as a foil, not caring about being ignored by them.

However, she drank too much soup, which led to frequent urination. In half an hour, Carolline went to the restroom three times.

The last time she went, she saw Bryan Hawkins. She thought she wouldn’t see him at least for today, but somehow she saw him.

Bryan Hawkins was paying the bill. Joyce Lopez came here to eat, and somehow, either she forgot or was careless, she found out she had no wallet when paying. The first person she thought of was Bryan Hawkins.

Bryan Hawkins had dinner at home, but he was annoyed by his grandmother’s talk about Carolline. So, he took the chance when Joyce called him to go out.

As Joyce emerged from the restroom and saw Bryan Hawkins had paid, she smirked. When Bryan Hawkins turned around, he saw Carolline behind Joyce.

Carolline didn’t know what was wrong with her, but for a moment, she couldn’t move.

Only when Bryan Hawkins’ gaze met hers did she realize her own lapse. It was good that he had someone by his side now.

Carolline turned around and walked towards the restroom.

Her heart ached a little; Carolline rubbed her stomach and comforted herself: It’s okay, baby, having you is enough for me.

“What are you looking at?” Joyce approached and realized that Bryan Hawkins’ distraction was not for her. She looked back, but Carolline had already walked away, and Joyce didn’t see anything.

“Nothing, let’s go. I’ll take you home,” Bryan Hawkins said, as he hadn’t expected such a coincidence.

“Alright,” Joyce was grinning, and now was the time for her to show her feelings and make Bryan Hawkins acknowledge them.

When Carolline returned for the third time, Mia Parker and Lucy Wade finally noticed that they had been chatting enthusiastically and left Carolline out. So, when she came back, they would take her into consideration while talking.

“Carolline, did you see the news? I officially signed with Hawkins Family and became the spokesperson for Apricoom Building,” Lucy was still happy about it. Even after Matilda Ferguson’s sabotage, she still had the opportunity to be the spokesperson.

In short, what belonged to her was hers and couldn’t be taken away by others. Moreover, Matilda Ferguson deserved her punishment and retribution.

People in their circle said that the scandal about Matilda Ferguson was caused by someone seeking revenge, so everyone was guessing who had offended her. However, Lucy had no interest in such matters.

“Mmm, congratulations,” Carolline said indifferently.

“I don’t like Joyce, the manager of the Public Relations Department. That woman is as annoying as Matilda Ferguson,” Lucy said frankly. She really didn’t like Joyce.

This woman had always been so self-righteous. In Lucy’s view, Joyce considered herself as Mrs. Hawkins already, disregarding her heavily made-up face every day. She had no qualifications to compete with Carolline for Bryan Hawkins.
