Secret Wife, Real Billionaire
Alpha Millionaire 206
bChapter 206 /bbHave /bbto /bbgo /b
The woman who just moments ago seemedposed now held her head in her hands, shaking, her eyes darting back and forth between Marcelo and Paul, clearly struggling with her thoughts. She was having a hysterical episode.
Marcelo, keeping his cool, quickly gave Jessica two pills.
These pills, meant to soothe, worked fast.
Jessica rxed,y back on the bed, and drifted gently to sleep.
Marcelo, having finished his task, noticed Renee’s gaze fixed on him.
“Did that scare you?” he asked, gently taking her hand.
It was unclear whether he was referring to Jessica’s actions or his own seemingly indifferent reaction.
Renee shook her head. “No, not scared. Just really surprised.”
She was taken aback by how Marcelo seemed to have mixed feelings about Jessica.
“Do you always trigger your mom like that?” Paul chided Marcelo.
With a mocking smile, Marcelo retorted, “Isn’t she in that condition because of you?”
“You are being disrespectful!” Paul, clearly upset, scolded him before turning his attention to Marcelo’s legs, unable to hide his concern. “Are your legs fully healed?”
Marcelo’s regr trips to Bellbanks University didn’t slip by unnoticed. He doubted Paul’s informants
hadn’t filled him in already.
“Rx, the King family doesn’t interest me one bit,” Marcelo said, his voiceced with slight scorn.
“But you’re my grandson as well. You also have a share in inheriting the King family’s business.” Paul, visibly aged, seemed to regard this grandson with a sense of newfound appreciation.
Marcelo didn’t respond, but the subtle smirk ying on his lips said it all.
He signaled Vivian to join him in the small living room, making sure he stayed within Renee’s view,
intentionally or not.
b“/bMarcelo…” Vivian began, filled with hope that Marcelo might finally put past grievances aside, especially since his brother’s passing had made him more agreeable to her wishes.
“Pack your bags and leave Harvillston. Start the paperwork tomorrow,” Marcelo cut in. “With byour /bskills and good name, you’ll find a top–notch job anywhere in the country.”
Vivian was shocked.
“You… You’re telling me to leave Harvillston? But whyb?/b” Her question, filled with sudden sadness band /bba /bfeeling of betrayal, cut through the air. “Is it because of Reneeb?/b”
Her voice rose, catching Renee and Paul’s attention.
As Paul looked back at Vivian, a silent hostility filled the room.
Vivian, her lips tightly sealed as if holding back a sea of sorrow, ran off crying.
b“/bMarcelo, you need to check on her,” Paul advised. “Vivian is a Lambert. We need to avoid any trouble.”
“I’ll handle it.” Renee quickly left before Marcelo or Paul could respond.
Finding Vivian was easy. The line of bodyguards gave her away.
At the balcony’s end, Vivian’s figure was visible, shaking with soft cries.
Renee, getting closer, was greeted by a strong breeze.
“Why are you here?” Vivian turned around at the noise, quickly dabbing at her eyes to hide her tears.
“So, you thought making a scene would make Marcelo chase after you?” Renee’s voice was light as she offered a small shrug. “Turns out, I’m the one who showed up.

Intentionally irritating Vivian, she continued, “I’m here to give you somefort, believe it or not.”
Vivian felt a rush of anger. She quickly brushed away her tears and fired back, “Renee, aren’t you the one
who wants me out of Harvillston? What gives you the right to meddle in Marcelo’s choices?”
“Because I’m his wife in the eyes of thew, and I own half of his business.”
How could Renee stand leaving Vivian, who could threaten her position, close to Marcelo?
The very idea made Renee sick.
“Renee, you should consider yourself lucky to have married Marcelo because of the marriage alliance
between the Hudson and King families!” Vivian shot back.
“That’s right!” Renee crossed her arms, nodding in agreement. “And what about the marriage alliance
between the Lambert and King families? Why not hold onto that advantage?”
Before Vivian could reply, Renee cut in, “Vivian, you were practically his brother’s fiancée, his brother’s
true love. Is this your way of respecting his memoryb?/b”
Vivian burst outughing.
Her smile was dark, hinting at a clever scheme unfolding.
“Why do you think his brother left me in Marcelo’s care?”

She moved closer to Renee, whispering as though sharing a deep secret, “Because he knew my heart belonged to Marcelo all along! I’ve always been in love with Marcelob!/b”
Renee recoiled slightly, taken aback by Vivian’s words. “You’re…You’re just making this up.” She tried to maintain herposure despite her racing heart.
Her intention was to rattle Vivian.
Yet, the truth was not easily obscured.
Vivian sneered, “Renee, you don’t understand his brother at all. Had you known him, you wouldn’t question my words. He was extraordinary and kind–hearted, always protective of Marcelo, caring for Jessica, and respectful towards Paul.”
Ellie had heard of that.
Renowned for his gentle nature, open–mindedness, and business savvy, he was a standout in high society.
“He loved me for years. When he passed, I believe he thought he was granting me freedom. He asked Marcelo to take care of me to make up for me.” Vivian spoke with a distant gaze. “I’ve spent years pondering what hecked that made me not love him. The truth is he was perfect.” Nheless, she had no feelings for him.
Love doesn’t heed logic.
Renee remained skeptical. “Vivian, do you see yourself as willingly being the other woman?”
“Are you suggesting Ick self–respect?” Vivian retorted, flipping her hair with a dismissiveugh. “What does self–respect matter against love? Sure, Marcelo chose you this time because you’re his wife. He feels obligated, and perhaps you’re a novelty to him. But can you be so certain he’ll always pick you over me?”
Arguing with Vivian, who had stooped so low as to willingly be the other woman, was challenging!
Renee was about to respond when she received a message from Damian.
Damian’s message read: “At the Hagua auction, every piece managed by Sarah failed to sell in the first
halfb!/bb” /b
No sales? Not a single item was sold?!
Renee’s expression turned serious, and she quickly dialed Damian’s number. b“/bIs that urate? How did you find out? Why would that happen?”
“I’m here in Hagua for work and heard it through the grapevine… It seems Quincy was actively blocking the bids from others,” Damian exined.
Influenced by Renee, he had been keeping a close eye on Sarah activities.

If the items didn’t sell, they might be re–auctioned at a fixed price, impacting buyers minimally. bBut /bbfor /ban auctioneer like Sarah, such a failure was a serious blow to their reputation.
“Quincy was there?” Renee’s frown deepened.
She was dismayed by the idea of Quincy deliberately undermining Sarah at the auction. “Alma was bthere /bas well,” Damian added.
Damn it!
Renee was seething.
She inquired, “When’s the second half of the auction starting?”
“It begins at eight tonight.”
“Okay, thanks. I owe you a dinner!”
Ending the call, Renee’s annoyance with Vivian intensified. “You won’t be able to continue working for Harvillston, Vivian. Take care.”
Without waiting for a response, she quickly returned to the ward.
Inside, the atmosphere was heavy, even among family.
Jessicay in aa, Marcelo stood by stoically, and Paul brooded over Marcelo’s disrespect.
“Marcelo, I have to go to Hagua,” Renee announced, grabbing her bag, urgency evident in her voice.
b“/bNow?” Marcelo questioned.
