CHAPTER 67: CHAPTER 67: THE URGENT REUNION PART 3 - CHANGE OF PARADIGM PART 7.

"«Safety»?". Responds the Headmistress Ganeira Marriott, containing a laugh, but allowing a wholeheartedly snort scape her tempting lios. "«Safert» has never been a word that describes Dhägna’Hür, Student Quortius. That was an illusion most of you preferred to believe. But i understand what you are trying to imply...".

She does a displeased grunt. "We had lost a significant number of Students, Staff members and even professors. Of course, that is only here in the Intercultural Academy, but we should take into account the repercussions in Gould’Dïmïur’s City".

"Which are?".

"The Zones. They are sprouting in the Central Triangle and between the red and yellow perimeter, is a matter of time before we are swarmed with countless creatures".

Hát’Thöry intercedes. "We have to eliminate this Zones?. It is a suicide. We don’t have the numbers or resources, everyone is injured, and the new amount of Storage Capacity is a severe impediment to get rid of Zones".

"It is as you say Student Hát’Thöry, but we don’t have many alternatives, and Zones are still our best option to survive in this case isolation".

The Headmistress switches the image displayed by the hexagonal table, showing a multicolored Icosahedron.

"This is an Entropy Core. Some Zones have them. Or is better to say, that all Zones have at least one of them. This item is a nigh inexhaustible source of Empiric Energy, with two problems".

"One, it can only produce a constant determined amount of Empiric Energy, Like our passive release, but unlike us, can’t store Empiric Energy".

"Second, it can only augment its production by merging with another Entropy Core that has the same Development, and putting near another Entropy Core, reduces de Empiric Energy emanated".

{What a strange interaction. In any case, it explains why this building has energy, when the rest of us don’t}

"Why were we not informed about this before?".

"Because you were and are very weak. You need a Density Fortitude of 110. Physical Fortitude of 280. Ethereal Fortitude of 170. Mental Fortitude of 450. Control Fortitude of 600. Alteration Fortitude of 800. Or more than 75,000 Storage Capacity. There are about 6 to 9 people in the Intercultural Academy with equivalent or superior stats, «Individually» speaking, and the majority of them, are not part of this Reunion, nor aware or interested about the possibilities they have access to".

"So that is what this is about!. You want us to use the «Endodecodexes» to determine our Fortitudes. And then what?. Enter in a Zone until we gather the Entropy Core?".

"Correct. It is one of the options. At least if we want to reestablish the barriers. Anf for that to happen, it is need a Level 15 Entropy Core, or six Level 11 Entropy Cores, and custode the locations where they will be placed".

The lone young man goes out of his reverie and speaks with his stoic voice. "It is possible to isolate this Entropy Cores to prevent the diminishment of energy output?".

"Correct Student Bverxkka". Acknowledges the Headmistress.

"Why not do both approaches then?. We use the Level 15 Entropy Core as bait. And if it fails or we are under attack, each faction can defend their territory with the Level 11 Entropy Core, until the threat is eliminated".

"An ambitious and risky idea. And one i immediately reject. We should have our own independent system. It’s absurd to expect cooperation from others when there are disputes all the time between the Fraternities".

"That is why we are reunited here Student Nouy’Zula (Rïvaldï). No more arguments or fights are allowed or tolerated in the Intercultural Academy. I’ll personally dispatch to the afterlife whoever causes troubles. Understood?".

Everyone remains in silence and the smile on the Headmistress grows bigger. "Lessons are suspended. Is primordial to acquire the Entropy Cores and other resources from the Zones. To ensure everybody is actively cooperating. I took the liberty to design your Platoons. They will be comformed by Three Triquetras (12 People), each from a different Faction. And «No». Displeasure is evident in the Students, but the situation is dire, limited supplies mean the only viable way to acquire new resources, is the grim and dangerous Zones.

Therefore, they are gambling, because it is unknown how large, aggressive, advance or unique, is each Zone.

Nevertheless, a quick reading of the Platoon lists leaves one constant present, the chosen ones are Freshmen, without exceptions.

The reasons are simple.

Firsts. They are technically the weakest among the Students, what makes them disposable, as there is no reason in training someone from scratch, while you can throw them into the wilderness to reduce the population without hindering the most valuable assets. Which is the Second point, and if they survive, is a plus.

The third reason is slightly obvious, less time in the Intercultural Academy, means they are less likely to have animosity against the other Factions, which is evidently not the case in comparison to the Sophomores and Seniors.

Fourth. The Older Students have received training to defend the Intercultural Academy, the Freshmen are yet to receive their second day of lessons, and they had been postponed indefinitely.

"I expect to see your Platoons departing in two hours at most... , That it is all for the meantime. Reunion Concluded". Warns sternly the Headmistress Ganeira, not wanting nor needing a positive or negative response from the assembly.

{What a weird way to demonstrate her kind nature. The Headmistress seems inflexible and authoritarian. Which she is. But that is just a part. Those who like me, will enter in the Zones, can have a quick death or collect resources}

{Those who will remain outside, have to face the hordes of creatures that will accumulate in the Central Triangle, not to mention the Zones between the yellow and red perimeter, and although she didn’t say it. Without a barrier. Zones can sprout in any point of the Intercultural Academy}
