Chapter 217 - 219: The Aloof Little Dinosaur
CHAPTER 217: CHAPTER 219: THE ALOOF LITTLE DINOSAUR
Her thoughts unknowingly drifted far away, chaotic.
So much so that when the driver stopped the car, she hadn’t realized it.
Instead, Lu Shifeng opened his eyes, lowered his head, and kissed her hair: "We’re here, let’s get out."
Only then did she come to her senses, somewhat dazed, as she stepped out of the car. Just as her feet touched the ground, she suddenly turned her head: "Wait! Lu Shifeng, give me two minutes."
Without waiting for his response, she hurriedly dashed into the house.
Inside, Mrs. Gui was preparing dinner when Su Xingyu rushed to her and said, "Do we have anything ready? Quick, pack something for Lu Shifeng to eat on the road."
Mrs. Gui paused for a moment, then quickly responded, "Yes, yes, the chicken soup is almost ready; I’ll pack a bowl for the young master. And some small dishes, snacks."
"Great, hurry." Su Xingyu said, all the while keeping herself busy, filling a thermos with water, and grabbing some fruits into a plastic bag.
Mrs. Gui said, "Young madam, young master doesn’t like eating fruits."
Su Xingyu continued without stopping: "He has to eat them! He’s spoiled rotten with all his bad habits." Seriously, with his bad stomach and still being picky!
Mrs. Gui paused again, then smiled and replied, "Alright." She nimbly handed the packed meal to Su Xingyu.
Su Xingyu grabbed the thermos in one hand and the plastic bag in the other and hurried outside, rushing to Lu Shifeng’s car and handing everything over: "This is dinner, remember to eat on the way, it’s all hot."
Lu Shifeng slightly raised his eyebrows and didn’t reach out to take the items, just looked at her silently.
"Take it," she urged anxiously, "Aren’t you busy? Take it and hurry up. Remember to eat, home-cooked food is cleaner than outside. Even if you’re socializing, eat a little to fill up. And fruits are good for your health."
Only then did he return to his usual demeanor and accept: "Okay."
Su Xingyu felt a bit happy and turned to instruct the driver: "Mr. Li, drive steadily; Lu Shifeng needs to eat."
"Don’t worry, young madam," the driver said cheerfully, "I’ve been driving for so many years, absolutely steady!" As he said this, he pressed a control button next to the dashboard. A small, modified table flipped out from the back seat, not large but enough to place a few dishes.
Su Xingyu instructed a few more things before watching them leave.
That night, she waited for Lu Shifeng until midnight. Seeing he hadn’t come home, she went to sleep first.
In a haze, she dreamt he had turned into a cold little dinosaur, taking food from her hand and eating, and then started eating her...
"Ah!" She shouted, waking up.
Opening her eyes, wasn’t he just eating her? She didn’t know when he had come home to bed, holding her tightly in his arms, his teeth biting near her neck, in a very ambiguous position.
"Lu, Lu Shifeng!" Her entire body felt hot, and she pushed him angrily.
After several pushes, he finally woke up and instinctively bit her neck once more, then drowsily opened his eyes: "What’s wrong?" His voice was slightly hoarse and magnetic.
Staring into his deep, narrow eyes, she suddenly felt guilty: "Nothing..." Just a nightmare.
But he kept asking: "What’s really wrong?"
Her soft body pressed against his hard, steel-like body; even after sharing a bed so many times, his presence still made her heart race and breath uneven. She weakly told him she had dreamed of him turning into a dinosaur, specifically omitting the "little" word, and the scene where he took food from her hand.
He raised an eyebrow slightly: "Am I that scary in your dream?"
"Not, not very scary..." She battled internally for a long time, torn between making him feel frightening yet powerful, and revealing he was a weak little dinosaur cub that would get embarrassed and mad. In the end, she decided not to tell him the truth.
Lu Shifeng flipped over, pressing her underneath him, his thin lips trailing down her neck, quickly undoing her silk camisole nightgown.
"Lu, Lu Shifeng..." She frantically resisted, but it seemed futile, "Don’t, don’t do this... You came back so late tonight, you should rest."
"You woke me up." He murmured, unapologetically.
"I’m sorry, I’m sorry, okay?" She was about to cry, cursing herself, pig-brain, being held by him was fine, why did she wake him up? How could she forget this beast has endless energy? Yet she still tried to resist, "I, my period hasn’t ended yet..." Boo-hoo-hoo, at times like this, she could only use this big trump card, her face burning as she whispered.
Lu Shifeng’s movements paused slightly, then reluctantly kissed her, got up, and went to the bathroom.
Su Xingyu listened to the sound of water from the bathroom, relieved, yet oddly comforted?
He truly wasn’t completely uncaring towards her; whenever she felt uncomfortable, he took good care of her.
Thinking this, her restless heart gradually calmed, and she held onto the blanket, drifting into a deep sleep.
The next morning, he ordered her to accompany him to the company as usual.
Su Xingyu tried to reason with him along the way: "Lu Shifeng, doing this isn’t good, the chances of being discovered are too high $%...&*(..."
She earnestly and tirelessly persuaded throughout the trip, but he remained unmoved.
When the black Bentley drove into the Blade Headquarters and steadied in the underground garage, she could only sigh, resignedly observing the surroundings from the car window, hoping for a moment when no one was nearby so she could slip out of the car quickly. Unexpectedly, today’s garage seemed different; their car was surrounded by construction boards, forming a space approximately ten meters square, within which only their Bentley could be seen, no other cars, just a silent empty space.
Lu Shifeng had already stepped out of the car, reaching out to open her side of the door: "Get out."
She asked, dreaming-like: "Where are the other cars and people? Where did they go? Why is it just our car here today?"
"I had them create an exclusive parking space," Lu Shifeng told her, "Temporarily enclosed with construction boards; new walls will be built in a few days. Afterward, only our car can enter, and from the private elevator, directly to my office; you’ll no longer have to worry about being seen by others."
For a few seconds, Su Xingyu could not speak; she didn’t want to admit being moved, but waves of warmth indeed surged in her heart.
Yes, he is domineering, cold, unreasonable, but he indeed considers everything thoroughly; seemingly dismissing her opinions, in reality, he has already handled everything for her.
