CHAPTER 26: CHAPTER 26 DON’T PAY FOR OTHERS WITH YOUR OWN FUTURE

Su Wanxin’s eyebrows were clear and her eyes were cold as she watched Lin Shihan. Compared to Lin Shihan’s furious outburst after being splashed with water, Su Wanxin’s composure could be described as "calm."

But even so, the domineering aura she exuded made others feel her anger and instilled fear in their hearts.

"Didn’t you read the employee guidelines when you joined? Don’t you understand that you need to maintain the company’s image and interests after joining? Su’s Fund offers the highest salaries in the industry; if you’re still dissatisfied with the company, then perhaps you should just resign and look for something better!"

"Don’t falsely accuse people! What makes you think it was me who caused this?!" Lin Shihan retorted stubbornly.

"On what grounds?" Su Wanxin was so infuriated she almost laughed. She raised her hand and pointed to the surveillance camera on the ceiling. "Do I need to pull up the footage?"

After her reminder, everyone suddenly remembered the cameras above their heads.

Su Wanxin looked at Lin Shihan’s sudden regret and, with a headache, sighed and stepped back.

"If Shen Xiaochen put you up to this, then I advise you to have her come to me directly, rather than sacrificing your own future for her."

Once Su Wanxin finished speaking, she returned to her seat, not in the mood to entangle with such a person any longer.

The incident with Alex was an accident, but it also disrupted Su Wanxin’s plans. She originally didn’t intend to stand out, especially since her physical condition wasn’t great, and Zhan Che had repeatedly reminded her to rest properly.

If Zhan Che knew she came here to work and even secured a big deal for herself, he would definitely scold her.

Su Wanxin, with a pounding headache, lay her head on the desk. Others thought she was cried out of anger because of Lin Shihan, and the office fell silent like chickens, creating an especially eerie atmosphere.

When Fu Shihan arrived, Chen Lei was sitting in the office checking the surveillance footage. Seeing Fu Shihan enter, he instinctively snapped his laptop shut.

Fu Shihan raised an eyebrow at his action. Although he said nothing, Chen Lei was sure he thought he had been watching something inappropriate.

"President Fu." Chen Lei stood up and then saw the woman behind Fu Shihan, his eyes instantly lit up. "Miss Sheng?"

Sheng Qian slightly lifted her red lips in a proud smile, nodded her head, full of fearless charisma.

"I’ve brought a client for you." Fu Shihan sat on the sofa, glancing at Sheng Qian. "She’s going to invest five million."

Sheng Qian: ???

When did she say that?

Wasn’t she just tagging along for some excitement?

Didn’t he say they were coming to see Su Wanxin?

Sheng Qian: "I..."

Chen Lei: "Miss Sheng, please take a seat here! It’s an honor for us to have you choose Su’s Fund!"

Sheng Qian had nothing to say, shooting Fu Shihan a fierce glare before sitting down next to him.

Caught between a rock and a hard place and bound by her pride, she could do nothing but listen to Chen Lei introduce various investment funds and securities until her head spun.

"What were you just looking at?"

Just as Sheng Qian was about to doze off, Fu Shihan mercifully intervened to save her.

Chen Lei looked slightly uncomfortable. After a moment of thought, he decided to tell Fu Shihan about today’s incident.

"I just checked the surveillance footage, and it was indeed Lin Shihan who pushed Su Wanxin."

Chen Lei brought his laptop over and showed them the events of the day.

From Su Wanxin being pushed and the situation becoming awkward, to Su Wanxin’s quick response to resolve the issue, to Su Wanxin sending Alex away and then coming back to settle the score with Lin Shihan.

Sheng Qian watched intently, and if the situation had allowed, she would have truly liked to whistle and applaud.
