She Has Three Little Treasures: Fake Heiress, Yet Captures The Tycoon's Heart
Chapter 11: Straight to the Civil Affairs Bureau!
CHAPTER 11: CHAPTER 11: STRAIGHT TO THE CIVIL AFFAIRS BUREAU!
Quinn Thorne adjusted the gold-rimmed glasses on his nose, a sly gleam in his fox-like eyes, "But I’m really curious about what kind of woman it takes to make our ascetic Hell King Hawthorne fall for her. Tell me, so your brother here can properly worship her."
Elias Hawthorne’s face instantly turned as black as ink, a cold gleam flashed in his eyes: "Do you want to take old fourth’s place?"
Quinn Thorne immediately shut his mouth obediently.
As they were speaking, some voices came from outside.
"Young Master, Young Master, slow down, don’t fall..."
Before long, a little three-headed child appeared in Elias Hawthorne’s bedroom, followed by a group of sweating servants.
"Caden Hawthorne, where are your manners?" Elias Hawthorne scolded with a cold face.
But Baby Hawthorne seemed not to hear, his black, shiny eyes darting around the room as if searching for something.
Elias Hawthorne’s face became even more clouded.
"Caden Hawthorne!!!"
"Where’s my mom? Where did you hide her?" Baby Hawthorne started looking for someone as soon as he woke up.
Elias Hawthorne naturally knew about Old Mrs. Hawthorne calling Baby’s mother over yesterday. Later, the butler reported that the woman got along well with Baby.
It seems that it went more than well now.
Seeing her once and recognizing her as mom, seeking her as soon as he wakes up, how dependent is that?
He knew his own child well, not one to easily open his heart to others.
It’s the nature of mother and son, after all.
But it’s good in a way. As long as that woman behaves, playing the role of a kind mother, he naturally wouldn’t mistreat her.
"Caden Hawthorne, mind your manners."
Baby Hawthorne was also anxious because he couldn’t see Raina North.
Seeing his father with such a gloomy face, he felt timid as well.
"Daddy, Uncle Thorne."
Quinn Thorne smiled, reaching out to ruffle the little one’s hair.
"I heard Aunt Rivers made some delicious food again, I’m heading down first."
With that, he walked out, leaving the space for the father and son.
The room’s atmosphere instantly turned cold.
Elias Hawthorne looked at the little fellow peeking around everywhere: "She went back."
The little guy immediately wilted like a frostbitten eggplant, pitifully clutching at his clothes.
"When will she come again?"
Elias Hawthorne wouldn’t be fooled by such a pitiful look. The scene of this kid going on a hunger strike was still fresh in his mind.
"Not sure."
The little one panicked immediately upon hearing that.
"Great-grandmother said you’re marrying Mommy. When you get married, can I see Mommy every day?"
The little one’s eyes sparkled.
Elias Hawthorne’s lips curled into a mischievous smirk: "But I remember you said you didn’t agree to this marriage."
"I agree now." The little one quickly said.
Elias Hawthorne lightly murmured an ’oh,’ without saying anything more.
The little one grew more anxious, pacing back and forth around the room on his short legs, wanting to shout several times but afraid of offending his dad and not being allowed to see his mom.
After a while, he looked at Elias Hawthorne with aggrieved eyes: "Well... can you take me to see her?"
Elias Hawthorne, seeing his face flushed with stubbornness and pride, couldn’t help but feel a burst of satisfaction.
"No."
Tears finally welled up in the little one’s eyes.
"You rascal, not only bullying women but even a child," Old Mrs. Hawthorne burst in, full of fury, scooping Baby Hawthorne into her arms, "My poor little darling, don’t mind your daddy."
"Great-grandmother, can you take me to see my mom?" The little one looked up pitifully, truly heartbroken this time.
"Don’t worry, with great-grandmother here, your mom won’t escape." After comforting the little one, Old Mrs. Hawthorne immediately ordered her eldest grandson, "I’ve already arranged with The North Family, get the certificate first, then the wedding, after breakfast you go straight to the Civil Affairs Bureau."
Elias Hawthorne: "..."
Seeing Elias Hawthorne wanted to say something, Old Mrs. Hawthorne shot him a glare.
"Objection overruled! Unless you don’t want to recognize me as your grandmother."
Elias Hawthorne heard that, his expression darkened.
"Little darling, come, have breakfast with great-grandmother, your new mom will be back tonight."
...
After breakfast, Aidan Lynch came, as usual, to pick him up.
"President Hawthorne, Ghost Doctor Nowhere has appeared in Southgate."
Elias Hawthorne’s cold eyes changed: "Go."
The driver looked troubled: "Master, Old Mrs. Hawthorne instructed that no matter how big an issue, you must first head to the Civil Affairs Bureau today."
Elias Hawthorne naturally knew his grandma’s persistence, she wouldn’t give up on something she decided to do.
To avoid endless trouble, he had to get married today.
But...
Elias Hawthorne looked at Aidan Lynch: "Call Joel Jarvis to go to the Civil Affairs Bureau." Turning to the driver, he said, "Go tell Old Mrs. Hawthorne, the marriage can proceed, but only get the certificate without the banquet, tell her not to fuss."
After speaking, he got in Aidan Lynch’s car and left.
As soon as Elias Hawthorne left, the driver immediately went to inform.
In the dining room, Old Mrs. Hawthorne and others were having breakfast.
Hearing this, she was instantly furious.
"This rascal, is this how he handles things? Such a major event, he doesn’t go himself, sends a lawyer instead — what would the future granddaughter-in-law think of that? Not having a wedding or banquet; that’s just bullying!"
Aunt Rivers also frowned upon hearing this.
Baby Hawthorne’s little spoon fell onto the table, his little face pale, looking pitifully at Old Mrs. Hawthorne: "Great-grandmother..."
"Don’t be afraid, with great-grandmother here, we won’t let your mom slip away." Old Mrs. Hawthorne squinted her eyes, "You, go wake up the second young master."
"Old Mrs., are you planning to?"
"Tomorrow morning, I want everyone in Southgate to know The Hawthorne Family has gained a wonderful daughter-in-law."
Rascal, really thinks she can’t handle him anymore because she’s old.
Raina North was woken up by a call from Claire North.
Upon hearing the Hell King Hawthorne was to marry her, Raina North was stunned for a moment.
"Eight-thirty, Crimson District Civil Affairs Bureau."
After Claire North finished speaking, she was about to hang up.
"Wait a minute." Raina North stretched, switching to a comfortable position, her face still lazily relaxed from just waking up, "Claire North, what makes you think I’d agree to such a ridiculous request? Because of your big face?"
"Raina North, don’t you want to know your son’s whereabouts?"
"I do, but I’m really suspicious that all of this is you deceiving me. Up to now, apart from what you say, there’s no sound, no image, I doubt if this child even exists." A marriage registration wasn’t much to Raina North, but being so easily threatened by Claire North wasn’t her style.
Claire North sneered: "Then what do you want?"
"If you want the horse to run, you must feed it some grass, don’t you think?"
"All you care about is getting information about the child." Claire North’s mouth curled with sarcasm.
Before long, Raina North’s WeChat alerted her to a new message.
"You can choose not to come, but you’ll bear the consequences."
Claire North hung up the phone.
Raina North opened WeChat, seeing a picture sent by Claire North.
"Mommy, is this my poor big brother?" A tousled little head poked out, "I must say, he does look quite like a little fool."
