After hanging up, she saw Leila staring at her blankly.

Raina shook her phone: "It’s taken care of."

Aaron Warren shouted loudly: "Raina! Raina! Get out here!"

Raina paid him no mind, focusing intently on brewing the herbs in her hand. Her calm demeanor influenced Leila, who after being briefly distracted, regained her focus.

She didn’t dare blink as she watched Raina process the herbs. Her movements weren’t quick but were orderly, with a smooth and seamless beauty.

Though she always trusted her grandfather wouldn’t harm her, she didn’t expect he cared so much to find her such an extraordinary mentor.

Not to mention anything else, just based on Raina’s herbal processing skills, she wasn’t an ordinary person.

"It was me, but why would it concern you? The Pharmacy Department purposefully sent moldy herbs, which at worst delayed my research and at best is playing with lives. Just for this crime, I could call the police and arrest you with good reason."

"Ha!" Aaron truly felt like laughing to death: "You? Researching? If you had any sense, you’d just find a corner to wait, and once you’ve polished yourself up a bit, go out and fool some brainless nouveau riche as a lifelong support. But you shouldn’t have been so senseless to dream of doing any research!"

Raina didn’t give him a glance: "Leila, do you smell that? This research room stinks. Remember to remind me later to sterilize thoroughly, and clean it well. Let’s try to remove that spewing filth."

Aaron exploded upon hearing that, glaring at Raina as if he wanted to eat her: "Raina, you dare call me a spewing dung!"

"Here we go again." Raina furrowed her brows: "It really stinks. How about this, later we’ll take the herbs outside; they’re all precious herbs, it’d be heartbreaking if they’re contaminated."

"Raina!" Aaron shouted angrily.

"Chief Warren, why are you shouting so loud? Raina wasn’t even talking about you. What are you so anxious about? You know that’s easy to misinterpret, right?"
