"Leila!" Aaron’s face was sullen, his features twisted. "Are you sure you want to side with Raina against me?"

Leila was even more confused. "Chief Warren, I don’t understand what you’re saying. When did Raina ever oppose you?"

"Still daring to argue! Wasn’t it her who called to report to the inspection department?"

Leila nodded. "Yes."

"Then..."

"Of course not." Aaron outright denied.

As soon as he answered, his subordinate’s voice came through. "Chief Warren, the situation’s bad. The inspection department has come to investigate. You should come back quickly."
