CHAPTER 29: CHAPTER 29: IS RAINA NORTH A MURDERER? (PART 1)

"Why does it have to be Raina? She isn’t part of the North Family." Evelyn Xavier screamed, having just stood arrogantly before Raina, fiercely offending the North Family. If Raina inherited Northwind, would the North Family still have a place for her?

"Who says Raina isn’t part of the North Family? She is part of the North Family, she is my eldest granddaughter."

"I refuse to acknowledge such a shameless daughter who gave birth to a stillborn! Dad, have you gone senile? Or do you think the embarrassment she has brought upon the North Family isn’t enough?" Brenda Adler couldn’t control anything as her biological daughter’s possessions were about to be snatched away, and she looked at Raina with hatred.

Don’t assume she doesn’t know that this little bastard was birthed by that whore Yvonne Kensington.

She kept silent just to fully humiliate Raina as revenge against that whore Yvonne.

Under her manipulation over the years, Raina’s reputation became infamous, and now she had married a cripple, ruining her life.

She absolutely will not give that whore a chance to rise.

Claire North also felt Old Master North had gone senile, but she hated Raina even more.

"Raina, you’re here to snatch my things again."

Claire North clenched her fists, lowered her voice, and glared at Raina angrily.

Raina looked at the furious Claire and snorted coldly, glancing at the Old Master: "Do I still need to snatch?"

Naturally, things come to her.

Claire understood what she meant: "Raina, don’t be smug."

She had anticipated today and was already prepared with strategies.

She turned on her heel, walked toward the sick bed, and gently said, "Grandfather, Dad, Mom, Uncle, Aunt, everyone stop arguing. We’re all family; there’s no need to hurt harmony over such trivial matters. Today is a day of great joy."

Claire smirked, looked at Raina with ill intent, "Sister, shouldn’t you tell grandpa about your marriage?"

"Marriage? Raina got married?" Old Master North looked at Raina, puzzled.

Before Raina could respond, Claire said, "Yes, sister is married. Today is the third day return after marriage."

Brenda immediately chimed in, "Dad, I know you think Raina isn’t doing well, so you want to help her, but she’s doing well now. She’s the young madam of the Hawthorne Family, and what kind of family is the Hawthorne Family? Do they need a small company like ours?"

Gareth North squinted at his brother: "Brother, you really know how to plan."

Gareth was furious. With the Hawthorne Family backing them, how could they compete?

Gideon North chuckled: "It’s all due to Raina and Elias’ fate."

"Brother, you’re wrong. It’s not Raina’s fate; it’s Claire’s fate." Gareth sneered, as if he knew everything.

"Second brother, what do you mean by this?" Old Master North anxiously inquired.

"Dad, I’m not entirely sure, it’s just that I heard recently that the Hawthorne Family proposed, and the proposal was for Claire." Luckily, he had been cautious, otherwise, he’d have been framed by his older brother, "I initially thought brother refused, given that Claire was dating the Shelby Family’s young man. Only by hearing what sister-in-law said today did I realize that the one married off was Raina."

"Second brother, what nonsense are you spouting? The Hawthorne Family wanted to marry the North Family’s eldest miss; it’s not wrong for Raina to be our eldest miss!" Brenda anxiously defended.

But it was better had she not spoken; upon speaking, Old Master North’s face immediately changed.

"All of you shut up; second brother, tell me, what’s wrong with that Hawthorne boy?"

"Dad, I actually heard that Elias Hawthorne had an accident years ago, resulting in crippled legs and inability in certain respects. Also, five years ago, a son suddenly appeared..."
