CHAPTER 51: CHAPTER 51: BECOMING THE LIVE-IN SON FOR BOSS DAD (1)

Elias Hawthorne glanced out the window and sure enough saw a crowd blocking the way to the parking lot. They were gathered at The Hawthorne Group’s entrance, holding their phones, unclear about what they were filming. From afar, he could hear them saying things like "so cute," "too adorable," "poor thing," "really want to steal the child," and such.

Elias Hawthorne immediately frowned.

"Didn’t hear anything about any company event today?" Aidan Lynch, sitting in the passenger seat, looked curious. Seeing the boss’s face darken, he quickly replied, "I’ll notify security to disperse the crowd right away."

Five minutes later, the crowd dispersed, revealing Casper North’s handsome, soft, and cute little face.

At this moment, Casper North was sitting in a cardboard box, while Silly Husky pretended to be dead on the ground. On top of the box was a conspicuous message written in black marker: ’Sell Myself to Bury the Dog!’

With the sun rising, it made his delicate cheeks rosy. Casper North frowned and slapped Silly Husky’s hind leg as it scratched an itch.

"Pretend to be dead properly, don’t expose us!"

Silly Husky whined, sucked its nose in complaint, really wanted to fight back, but remembered the little master promised five wives, so it put up with it.

Casper North tilted his head, his eyes becoming more radiant under the sunlight, looking around.

"Why isn’t he here yet? That’s strange, according to my investigation, my supposed dad comes to the company daily."

What he didn’t know was that Elias Hawthorne did come to the company every day, but he went directly from the parking lot into the elevator, straight to the office area.

Which big boss would walk through the main door and vie for the elevator with small employees?

It was simply poverty limiting one’s imagination.

Casper North waited all morning without catching even a glimpse of his supposed dad, yet he managed to make himself so hungry his stomach was touching his back.

The ungrateful mommy seemed to owe him a Buddha Jumps Over the Wall. He should have eaten it before running away, felt a bit cheated.

Thinking of this made him increasingly regret the decision to run away from home. Just as he was hesitating about whether to leave, a low-profile business car drove out of the parking lot.

Elias Hawthorne had just finished the meeting and was preparing to leave. He inadvertently glanced over and happened to see Casper North.

Elias Hawthorne immediately recognized Casper North.

"Stop the car!"

Aidan Lynch looked puzzled at his boss: "President Hawthorne, what’s wrong?"

Elias Hawthorne didn’t answer him, instead, he opened the car door and stepped out.

Aidan Lynch was filled with surprise and quickly followed him.

Elias Hawthorne walked over to Casper North: "Why are you here?"

A large shadow loomed over, shielding the annoying sunlight. When Casper North saw Elias Hawthorne, his eyes welled up with tears, a mix of excitement and grievance.

Aidan Lynch came up, surprised to see a child here. Even more surprising was his boss generously exposing himself for a child.

To know, due to some people’s reasons, his boss rarely appeared in public, especially without disguises.

"Huh? Why is there a child here? This kid looks familiar. I know, aren’t you that kid from last time?" The kid who made his boss humble himself to cook a meal, "Why are you here? Where are your family members?"

Casper North looked at Elias Hawthorne, his little mouth quivering: "My mom doesn’t want me anymore. She got married, had a new baby, and now I’m like a little cabbage in the field, unloved, uncared for. Even the only dog has left me, boohoo... Uncle, I’m really pitiful..."

The dog that left him: "Awoo awoo..."

It was pitiful too, pretending to be dead looked awful, boohoo...

Casper North got sadder the more he talked, thinking about the occupied home and the snatched away mom, sadness filled his heart.

But before he could cry further, his stomach’s harmonious sound interrupted.

Casper North felt embarrassed.

"Hungry?"

Casper North shyly nodded his head.

Ten minutes later, the group appeared at The Wishful Pavilion.

Casper North downed a bowl of shark fin soup, his little face fell.
