CHAPTER 593: CHAPTER 593: WHERE IS THE MARTIAL CODE NOW?! (PART 1)
Samuel Lawrence still wasn’t convinced and shouted, "Alliance Leader Rivers, now that the Willows Family’s mother and son have left, you don’t have to keep up the charade. It’s true that I shouldn’t have flaunted my power in the Celestial Alliance today, that was my mistake. You can propose compensation, as long as The Lawrence Family can fulfill it to your satisfaction."
Raina North withdrew her gaze and asked, "Can you make decisions on behalf of The Lawrence Family?"
"I’m the sole heir to The Lawrence Family, and now that I’m involved in the company and have actual power, I can certainly make decisions."
"Oh, so you’re a domineering CEO. Very nice."
Upon hearing this, Samuel Lawrence straightened his back a bit more, feeling considerably relieved. It turned out that Alliance Leader Rivers was putting on an act for Poppy Willows; he figured there’s no way anyone in this world wouldn’t be interested in money.
Raina North observed Samuel Lawrence’s reaction and couldn’t help but chuckle, "Master Lawrence, you truly are an intelligent person, but it’s just petty intelligence, nothing of note."
She looked at Samuel Lawrence and said slowly, "Master Lawrence, you probably don’t quite understand my Celestial Alliance. When has my Celestial Alliance ever received charity for something we set our sights on? We always seize it directly. If you’d rather risk your life than lose your fortune, then it’s better not to keep your life."
Samuel Lawrence’s pupils enlarged, his mind momentarily blank. When he realized the meaning behind Raina North’s words, panic finally crept onto his greasy face, "Alliance Leader Rivers, you can’t do this!"
"I can." Raina North’s voice was calm. "If you can scheme against the Willows Family, I can plunder The Lawrence Family. Survival of the fittest is an eternal truth, so Master Lawrence, don’t be too upset."
Samuel Lawrence was not comforted; Raina North’s words were nothing short of a death knell, and he was utterly frantic. "Alliance Leader Rivers, my Lawrence Family is willing to contribute all its assets, just please show mercy."
Raina North’s expression darkened, "Are you suggesting my Celestial Alliance should accept handouts?"
"No, no, no. That’s not what I mean. My Lawrence Family is voluntarily offering them with both hands."
Raina North paid no attention, turning to the Elder and said, "I’ll leave this matter to you."
The Elder immediately responded, this kind of family seizure was as trivial as it gets within the Celestial Alliance.
"Orion Rivers!" Samuel Lawrence shouted, "Aren’t you afraid of The Tribunal’s sanctions for being so overbearing?"
Raina North couldn’t help but laugh, "Such a child, Master Lawrence, you’re truly adorable."
After finishing her words, Raina North waved her hand.
The Elder didn’t bother with pleasantries, swiftly grabbed a cloth, gagged the man’s mouth, and dragged him out.
Once the matter was resolved, Raina North returned to the office to handle affairs within the Celestial Alliance.
By the time she finished the last document, it was already dark outside.
Third Elder knocked and entered, "Alliance Hierarch, are you going to have dinner with the Twelfth Young Master tonight?"
Upon hearing the title ’Twelfth Young Master,’ Raina North felt a twitch in her temple and glared ominously at Third Elder, "If you dare spout nonsense again, I’ll make you the Thirteenth Young Master."
Third Elder was so frightened that he waved his hands repeatedly, "No, how could that work? Definitely not." Seeing Raina North’s displeasure, he quickly added, "I just remembered something I need to take care of, I’ll go handle it first."
Before he even finished speaking, he was already far away.
Raina North couldn’t help but snort coldly.
She got up and went to the lounge, and when she came back out, she was dressed in black, then silently left the Celestial Alliance.
...
Raina North lay motionless in the flower bushes, chewing on a stalk of foxtail, impatiently staring at the row of luxury cars parked at the door of the opposite villa.
