"Sabotaging the Jacobs Family?" Elias Hawthorne slowly repeated, with a slight smirk that carried a hint of sarcasm.

The Celestial Alliance had already agreed to return the territory, so why would they still go to war with them?

Quinn Thorne, who had been watching from the sidelines, also felt Elias Hawthorne had gone a bit too far. Even if he wanted to protect his wife, he shouldn’t bully people like this. Look, Elder Kane, who is so elderly, was about to be driven to tears.

He leaned toward Raina North, tugged at her sleeve, and lowered his voice, asking, "Big sis, be honest, do you have something going on with the Lord of the Dark Tower? Otherwise, why would his heart sway so much this time?"

"Is that really important?"

Pip Finch nodded seriously, a solemn look on his face, saying, "It’s very important. That way, I know how much I can mess around. If your connection isn’t solid enough, I’m worried I might get myself killed."

Raina North: "..."

Raina couldn’t be bothered with Pip Finch and turned to look at the chief seat.

Elias Hawthorne happened to look over and said coolly, "Miss, do you have any objections to this outcome?"

"No objections, really. It’s just there’s one troublesome matter: what if the Jacobs Family refuses to finance us? Our Celestial Alliance can’t just go robbing again, can we? That wouldn’t be very honorable."
