CHAPTER 667: CHAPTER 667: TIED UP AS A GIFT (PART 1)

Bang—

The flower pot fell to the ground with a loud crash.

"There’s someone on the balcony!"

The men immediately turned their attention, guns in hand, pointing toward the balcony, advancing together.

Raina North looked at the shattered flower pot at her feet, speechless, feeling rather helpless; well, there’s no hiding now.

She had originally thought of leaving these petty thieves for Jonah Rivers as a reminder not to be too carefree, or else trouble would come knocking, even when he’s not home.

Turns out there’s no chance for that now.

Oh well.

Raina North was only frustrated for a second; anyway, these petty thieves don’t seem like much of a challenge, so leaving them wouldn’t serve any purpose. Better to warm up herself.

The leader, seeing no one coming out, spoke with a colder tone: "If you don’t come out now, don’t blame me for blowing your head off."

"Alright, coming out then."

As Raina North spoke, her figure flashed, leaving a blur in the air.

Her gaze was sharp as ice, her movements clean and swift, and before they could react, the guns in their hands were already gone.

Bang—

Raina North casually dismantled the stolen gun’s magazine and tossed it on the ground: "Guns are dangerous items; kids shouldn’t play with them casually."

The five men were visibly shocked; they were considered experts among the ordinary, or they wouldn’t have been hired to take Jonah Rivers’s life.

But unexpectedly, they hadn’t even seen Jonah Rivers, and their guns were snatched by a young man.

The leader was the first to regain composure; he swiftly drew a dagger, shouting: "Charge! Attack!"

The others snapped out of it too, crazily charging at Raina North.

They were seasoned professionals who knew that with today’s circumstances, if they weren’t decisive enough, fearing today might be their end.

If Raina North knew their thoughts, she’d surely be impressed. Usually, indeed, as they said, without going all out, there’s no way out.

But that only applied when the gap between opponents wasn’t too large.

Now, as they charged together, only two rounds later, they were all down.

Raina North pressed the cold blade against the leader’s face: "Who sent you to kill Jonah Rivers?"

"I don’t know what you’re talking about; we’re just out of money, robbing to get by."

"Out of money? Robbing to get by?" Raina North abruptly yanked the watch off the man’s wrist, coldly laughing: "This is a Patek Philippe classic century model, worth eight million dollars, and this outfit, Armani haute couture, right..."

Raina North calmly listed the brands and prices of the man’s clothes and accessories, then suddenly turned cold: "You’re telling me you’re out of money, robbing to get by?"

The leader’s face darkened; he hadn’t expected Raina North’s eyes to be so keen. He stubbornly maintained, "I like it, I love robbing, what’s wrong with that? The Umbral Zone’s laws don’t prohibit having such a hobby!"

"Fine, of course fine, since The Umbral Zone’s laws permit, you’re legal then."

The leader’s face slightly eased, and he promptly said: "Then why don’t you hurry and let me go!"

"Let go? I’m afraid not. After all, the laws of The Umbral Zone don’t say that I must release a home-invading thief once captured. You’re my spoils of war."

The man’s face changed dramatically: "What do you intend to do?"

"What to do? Of course..." Raina North curled her lips, revealing an evil smile: "Tie you up and send you to Jonah Rivers."
