Tangtang ran over and upon seeing the small snake, recognized it as a miniaturized version of Pan Lin.

"How did this happen? Why has he become so small?"

Luo Wei looked around and said in a muted voice, shaking his head.

"Perhaps it’s a form of self-protection due to severe injuries. He’s not dead, but it seems he’ll need a lengthy rest. Are you alright?"

Tangtang held the bloody little snake and took it to the edge of the lake, gently helping to clean its tiny body. In that moment, he suddenly lifted his eyelids to glance at her.
