?Chapter 1200:

“And what if you do it again?”

    “Then I’ll runps as punishment.”

    “Your words.”

    “Yes.”

    Freya was being thoroughly obedient.

Ellis reached out and pinched her cheek, pleased by the soft feel. “Then we’ll go with what you said.”

Freya let out a quiet breath of relief. It wasn’t until dinner that she realized the choice to share a bed—or not—was entirely hers. They were only engaged. Even if they were married, there wasn’t anyw saying they had to sleep together every night. So, why had she felt so flustered earlier?

“What’s on your mind?” Ellis ced a serving of food on her te.

Freya pressed her lips together. “Nothing.” She decided there was no point in arguing with him. At his level, there was no winning. Might as well let him have his way.

With that thought, her mood brightened, and the food on the table suddenly looked more appetizing.

After dinner, Ellis went off to the study to finish some work, while Freya sat by the window, flipping through a book. Each of them quietly upied with their own tasks.

At ten o’clock sharp, Freya’s internal clock signaled it was bedtime. Ellis apanied her to wash up and head to bed.

With the woman he loved nestled in his arms, and after receiving a gentle kiss from her, Ellis felt something stir deep within him—something that hadn’t stirred in a while. And Freya noticed.

Her back pressed against the warmth of his chest, and after taking a moment to gather her nerve, she spoke up. “You don’t have to hold back.”

    “Sleep.”

“You can sleep like that?” Ellis didn’t answer.

“We’re getting married soon anyway. And we have condoms. It’s okay.” Freya spoke inly.

She knew the reason he was holding back—he didn’t want her to worry about being pregnant when her period waste. But thest dy had only happened because her routine and eating habits were off. Normally, she was as regr as clockwork.

Still, Ellis didn’t make a move. The reason was simple. Once they started, who knew when they’d be able to stop.

He waited until morning to make his move. Freya felt something strange in the haze between dreams and waking, and then she heard Ellis’s voice.

The moment she opened her eyes, she understood everything.

By the time they were finally done, it was already ten o’clock. They got out of bed four hourster than usual.

Ellis, satisfied, carried her to the shower, helped her get dressed, and brought her downstairs for breakfast.
