She Took The House The Car And My Heart
Chapter 1202
?Chapter 1202:
“Quit staring at her,” Ellis said, his voice carrying a hint of warning. “You’re representing Lambert Group, not just yourself.”
Locke, quick on his feet, caught the irritation in Ellis’s voice and shed a sheepish grin. “I was just curious about the woman who stole your heart, that’s all,” he said, ying the truth bare.
Ellis gave him a pointed look. “And now that you’ve seen her?”
“I’ve seen her,” Locke said, still smiling.
“Then you know where the door is,” Ellis said, his tone blunt as a hammer.
Locke froze, caught off guard. Was Ellis really being this cold?
Ellis shot him another nce, as if to say, “You’re still here?”
Locke, undeterred, silently mouthed, “Just one more peek at Ms. Briggs.”
“She’s my fiancée,” Ellis said with his eyes.
“And she’s someone I’ll be working with down the line,” Locke mouthed in response.
In the end, Ellis didn’t send Locke packing. Instead, he handed the folder to Freya. “This is for you. Just sign when you’re ready.”
Freya took it, her brow furrowing. “What’s this about?” she asked, her curiosity piqued.
Before she could flip it open, Ellis answered with a casual smile. “Betrothal presents.”
Freya blinked, caughtpletely off guard. She stared at him, her mind spinning like a top.
When she saw the pages listing the gifts, her jaw nearly dropped. It was practically an empire handed over on paper.
She sat there, stunned, her thoughts a jumbled mess. Were these just betrothal gifts or a full-on transfer of everything he owned?
“It’s a bit simple, so don’t hold it against me,” Ellis said lightly, a teasing lilt in his voice.
Locke’s lips twitched, barely hiding his amusement. Simple? If his memory was correct, that folder held nearly all of Ellis’s properties and shares in Lambert Group’s subsidiaries. If not for some pesky inheritance rules, even the main holdings might have been included.

Freya pushed the folder back toward Ellis. “I can’t ept this,” she said firmly.
Ellis arched a brow, his tone yful. “What, too small?”
She shot him a look that could stop traffic. “You know that’s not it.” If this was small, she couldn’t even imagine what “big” looked like.
The cash alone was over fifty million. The properties? Priceless. Thepany shares? Beyond measure.
“I didn’t choose you for your money,” Freya said, her voice steady. “We don’t need all this.”
Ellis leaned back, his gaze soft but serious. “I hear you, but I want you to take them. It’s my way of knowing you’re not going anywhere.”
Locke, listening quietly, was baffled. Most people worried about their partner running off with the money. Ellis? He was handing over the keys to the kingdom to make sure she stayed.
