"Pirates?" Xia Mian lightly raised an eyebrow, her tone playful.

The boatman’s eyes moved slightly upon hearing this.

Those merchants chose to leave using their methods before being engulfed by the fog.

Song Ke slightly furrowed his brow and took a deep look at the boatman. Xia Mian was right; these merchants could not just keep floating on the sea, they must have their ways to leave.

But when they encountered danger, the boatman did not use his way to take them away!

Instead, he allowed them to be targeted and besieged by the Sea Market pirates!

"Why?" Song Ke’s eyebrows tightened, "Why do this?"

From the moment the Sea Market showed anomalies, the boatman’s behavior has been a normal reaction.

Until Lu Zechuan raised the question of where the other merchants went, Song Ke realized something was amiss.

The boatman has the means to take them away, yet he didn’t.

Just as Song Ke finished speaking, the bottom of the boat suddenly seemed to be struck by something, and began to shake violently.

As the boat rocked, the boatman seemed unsteady, his body tilted and he fell into the sea, "Brother Song! Save me..."

Song Ke had no time to reach out before the boatman’s body sank straight down into the bottom of the sea and disappeared instantly.

Those people she knocked into the seabed earlier, like loaches, bounced out of the water, stepping on large flying fish beneath their feet.

Song Ke swallowed hard, staring with fear at those pirates riding the flying fish, his heartbeat quickened, "Miss Xia, these flying fish, they’re all Exotic Beasts..."

Does this mean these pirates are from the Beast Clan?

But, throughout his years in the family, he had never heard of any elder going out to become a pirate!

Xia Mian nodded lightly, not too surprised by the pirates’ methods.

After all, the Sea Market was already sinister, and the pirates appearing there were even more nefarious, she could understand.

"Be wise, surrender obediently, and we’ll allow you a quick death," Xiao Minglu laughed smugly from the deck.

"Another one who doesn’t know the meaning of ’death’," Lu Zechuan sneered coldly, waving a hand, a water column shot up, and slammed directly toward Xiao Minglu’s face.

Xiao Minglu hesitated for a moment, clearly not expecting that, surrounded by his men, the opponent would still dare to attack!

Xiao Minglu laughed in anger, "Brothers, kill them, don’t hold back!"

Little Black Cat seemed insulted, in the next moment, it slapped the head of the vulture playing dead on the ship, "Meow!"

The vulture showed a look of disbelief in its eyes, its neck was almost bitten off, and yet the cat still wanted it to serve as a mount, carrying it to fight its own kind?

"Meow!" Little Black Cat bristled, its eyes filled with intense threat, seeming to say, "Hesitate any longer, and it won’t be your neck almost breaking, but immediate snapping!"

The vulture reluctantly stood up, never seen such mistreatment of the wounded!

Xia Mian understandingly glanced at Little Black Cat, "Alright, I’ll leave it to you."

Since contracting Little Black Cat, today was her first time seeing this little fellow make a move, and it gave her quite the pleasant surprise indeed!
