?Chapter 339:

    My Jasmine.

I turned to Kade. “Get rid of him,” I said, my tone devoid of emotion.

“What do you want me to do?” Kade asked, his voice careful.

I didn’t answer. Instead, I pulled a dagger from my belt and walked over to the man. His eyes widened in terror, and he started to beg, his voice cracking.

    “Please! Please, don’t!”

I ignored him, driving the dagger into his chest with one swift motion. His screams turned into gurgles as blood bubbled up from his mouth. I watched as the light faded from his eyes, his body slumping in the chair.

“That’s mercy,” I muttered, yanking the dagger free.

I turned on my heel, heading for the door. There was no time to waste. Anna Thane thought she could get away with this, thought she could hurt Jasmine and walk away unscathed.

She had no fucking idea what wasing for her.

Kade caught up with me as I stepped into the hallway.

“What’s the n?” he asked, his voice steady.

I nced at him, my eyes burning with fury. “We’re going to remind Anna Thane why no one messes with my mate,” I said, my voice cold and unforgiving. “And this time, there will be no mercy. No fucking mercy.”

    Ryder’s POV

The night was bitterly cold as we made our way to the Silverw pack, but what does cold matter when ites to revenge? The thought of blood and vengeance was enough to set one’s veins on fire.

This was the home of Anna Thane, the Luna who thought she could go after my mate and live to tell the tale.

    Not tonight.

    Blood demanded blood.

The guards at the gate didn’t even see iting. One minute, they were standing there; the next, Kade and Enzo had their throats ripped out. Blood pooled at their feet as their bodies slumped to the ground. There was no time for niceties.

    Silverw didn’t deserve mercy.

We stormed through the gates, my warriors following close behind—every wolf loyal to me, every wolf ready to raze this ce to the ground. The air was filled with growls, howls, and the sh of metal as the fight broke out.

But I wasn’t here for the soldiers or the pack.

I was here for Luna fucking Anna.

Her scent hit me as I burst into the Silverw packhouse. The smell ofvender and rot—sweet, but sickening. She was waiting for me in the grand hall, standing at the foot of the staircase with a silver dagger in her hand.

The witch, more like it—she was aware of my invasion.

“Ryder,” she said, her voice calm, calcted. “I expected you sooner.”

I growled, Ace scratching at the surface, begging to be let loose. But not yet. No. I wanted her to feel every second of this.

“Anna,” I said, my voice dripping with venom. “Did you really think you could go after my mate and survive?”

She smirked, tossing the dagger between her hands. “I didn’t just think it, Ryder. I knew it. You might have gotten this far, but do you really believe killing me will end this? You have no idea what’sing.”

“Save the theatrics,” I snapped, taking a step closer. “You hurt Jasmine. You made this personal. And now, I’m going to make you pay.”

Sheughed, a cold, hollow sound that echoed through the room. “Do you think this is personal? Oh, Ryder. You’re ying a game you don’t even understand.”
