?Chapter 364:

He quirked an eyebrow but wisely said nothing, turning to Seraphina instead. “Is she ready yet? Enzo’s almost here.”

“She’s ready when I say she’s ready,” I snapped, ring at both of them. “And I’ll have you know, I’m perfectly capable of dressing myself.”

“Of course you are, darling,” Ryder said smoothly, clearly trying to avoid a hormonal explosion.

“Uh-huh,” Seraphina added, her tone dripping with sarcasm as she adjusted the hem of my top. “And I suppose you’re capable of getting through a single day without snapping at everyone too?”

I ignored her, focusing instead on the excitement bubbling up inside me. Despite the chaos, I couldn’t wait to see Enzo.

When I finally stepped into the living room, my heart skipped a beat. Enzo was already there, his confident stride carrying him across the room like he owned the ce. His dark hair was perfectly tousled, and his sharp green eyes sparkled with mischief. He was the picture of casual confidence, dressed in a leather jacket that somehow managed to make him look both approachable and intimidating.

“Jasmine!” he called out, his face lighting up when he saw me.

“Enzo!” I practically ran toward him, ignoring the small twinge in my back as I threw my arms around him.

“Careful,” he teased, hugging me gently. “Don’t want you pulling anything in your… delicate condition.”

I pulled back and smacked his arm. “I’m pregnant, not fragile.”

Heughed, the sound warm and genuine. “Fair enough. You look good, though. A little rounder, but good.”

La’sughter echoed in my head. “See? Even he noticed!”

I scowled but chose to ignore her, focusing instead on the joy of having Enzo here.

“How’s pack life treating you?” he asked as we settled onto the couch.

“It’s… interesting,” I said, ncing at Ryder, who was leaning against the wall, watching us with a small smile. “A lot of politics, a lot of drama, but we’re managing.”

“And by managing, she means she’s turning the elders’ world upside down,” Ryder added, his tone filled with pride.

“Good,” Enzo said firmly. “They need a shake-up.”

For the next hour, we caught up on everything. Enzo shared updates about Silverw, and I told him about thetest antics in our pack. La, of course, provided her usual runningmentary, which I tried my best to ignore.

When the conversation shifted to pack affairs, I noticed a flicker of tension in Ryder’s expression. It was subtle, but I knew him well enough to see it.fn9dd1 Latest content published on find?novel/fn9dd1

“What’s going on?” I asked, narrowing my eyes at him.

“Nothing you need to worry about,” he said smoothly, but I wasn’t buying it.

“Ryder…”

“It’s just the usual elder nonsense,” Enzo said, stepping in. “But don’t worry. We’ll handle it.”

I didn’t like being left out of the loop, but I trusted them to deal with whatever was brewing. For now, I was content to enjoy having Enzo here, even if La wouldn’t shut up about how much food I ate during lunch.
