?Chapter 368:

Isabelle looked between us, her expression a mixture of disbelief and gratitude. “I—I don’t know what to say,” she stammered.

“Say you’ll help,” I said, offering her a small smile. “I need someone who understands the women in this pack, someone who can be a voice for them. Can you do that?”

“Yes,” she said quickly, nodding so hard I thought her head might fall off. “Of course. I’ll do whatever I can.”fne1a1 Newest update provided by Find_Novel(./fne1a1

Her excitement was contagious, and for the first time in a long time, I saw a glimmer of the woman she might have been before life tore her down. It felt… good. Like maybe, just maybe, this was the start of something better for all of us.

But just as I was about to say something else, the door swung open, and Enzo walked in.

“Sorry,” he said, holding up his phone. “I had to take a call. What’d I miss?”

Isabelle turned to him, and the change in her was immediate. Her posture straightened, her breath hitched, and her eyes widened as if she’d just been struck by lightning.

La stirred in my head, her interest piqued. “Oh, this just got interesting.”

I didn’t understand what was happening at first, but then Enzo froze too, his sharp green eyes locking onto Isabelle like she was the only thing in the room.

And then they said it.

“Mate.”

Wait, what? My jaw dropped as I nced from Enzo to Isabelle, then to Ryder.

The word hung in the air, heavy and electric, and I felt my jaw drop. Ryder straightened beside me, his eyes darting between them with a mixture of surprise and wariness.

Isabelle’s hand flew to her mouth, her expression a mix of shock and disbelief. Enzo, on the other hand, looked like he had just been punched in the gut.

“No way,” La muttered, though her tone was more amused than anything else.

“Uh… congrattions?” I said, my voice weak with disbelief.

Neither of them responded. They were too busy staring at each other, their emotions shing across their faces like a storm.

Ryder leaned closer to me, his voice low. “Did you know about this?”

“How would I know?” I whispered back, still trying to process what I was seeing.

For a moment, the room was silent, the air thick with tension. And then, as if someone had flipped a switch, Isabelle stepped back, her hands shaking.

“This—this can’t be happening,” she whispered, her voice trembling.

Enzo blinked, his jaw tightening as he finally seemed to snap out of his daze. “Oh, it’s happening,” he said, his voice rough. “Whether you like it or not.”

And just like that, the calm I’d felt earlier evaporated.

La sighed dramatically in my head. “Well, this just got messy.”

I couldn’t help but agree.
