Shunned By An Alpha, Cherised By A Lycan
Chapter 63
?Chapter 63:
The embarrassment eating me up couldn’t be described. I wanted to hide my face in my palms and scream. Already, I was sure my entire face had turned pink.
“I wasn’t… drooling,” I muttered weakly. Of course, we both knew I was. Ryder’s grin widened, the sly fox.
“Really?” he drawled, his face pulling into a mock-thoughtful expression. “Just wondering how you got in,” I shrugged. I’d already embarrassed myself; the least I could do was divert the topic.
“Spare key. You really do think like a kid sometimes. Did you really think locking the door would keep me out?” Ryder chuckled, his eyes dancing with amusement.
“You should’ve warned me,” I retorted stubbornly, folding my arms with a pout on my face as I red at him.
Ryder shrugged, his towel slipping lower. “Would’ve spoiled the surprise.”
Shit. My gaze flickered away. God knows I was trying so hard topose myself.
“What time did you leave?” I asked, even though I knew it was a stupid question. I had smelled him all over my sheets when I woke up. Still, I had to confirm that it wasn’t just me being creative with my imagination.
“Left?” Ryder’s brows arched as he repeated my question, his voice ringing with amusement.
“I didn’t leave, baby vixen. I slept right beside you.”
My eyes snapped back to his, wide with surprise, practically bulging out of my sockets.
“You did not!” I gasped.
Ryder chuckled dryly, his eyes fixed on me with a mixed expression I couldn’t quite read, but I knew he was enjoying our little banter.
“Oh, please.” He waved a hand dismissively. “You were just too tired to notice.”
I narrowed my eyes, trying my best to avoid his probing blue gaze.
“I would’ve noticed.”

Ryder’s stupid grin was reced with a smug smirk, his hands now on his hips. “Maybe you were too busy dreaming about me,” he said with a wink.
That was it! I wanted him out! I could feel the heat creeping up my face as I turned away, muttering, “Asshole,” under my breath.
“Like what you see?” he teased, his voice low and husky as he wiggled his brows.
I felt like pping him, just to wipe that smirk off his stupid face. I felt like screaming.
“Just put on some clothes!” I was seconds away from shouting it when…
He moved closer, his scent filling my nose as I bit my lip. My thighs pressed together as I sat frozen on the bed, my heart thumping loudly in my chest.
“What are you doing?” I managed to whisper, my voice barely audible.
Ryder didn’t respond. The yful look was gone, reced with seriousness. His body leaned close to mine, and I felt his cold skin brush against me, making my body stiffen. The brief contact sent a shock through me, like an electric jolt that made me jerk.
Without sparing me a nce, he reached for a pile of neatly folded clothes on the chair and stood up.
“Just grabbing my clothes,” he said nonchntly, rolling his eyes. “What else were you thinking?”
I looked away, too afraid to meet his gaze. My heart was still racing as I tried to process what had just happened.
“Get dressed,” I hissed. If he wasn’t practically naked, maybe I could think more clearly.
Ryder chuckled, the sound sending shivers down my spine. “Already on it.” I turned to face him just in time to see his towele loose. In seconds, it tumbled to the floor.
