?Chapter 95:

I turned toward him, rolling my eyes with a smirk. “I’m going to pretend I don’t know what you mean. No English today.”

Ryder chuckled darkly, his voice a low rumble that made my stomach clench. “Cut the act. You know exactly what I need,” he said, his voice rougher, darker now. The yful spark in his eyes had shifted, reced by something raw. Something dangerous.

The glint in his gaze, the way his lips twisted into a predatory grin… Lust rolled off him in waves, dark and all-consuming, like he was holding himself back just enough to make me feel the weight of his control. It was suffocating.

I faked a gasp, cing a hand on my chest, my heart racing. “Ryder!”

Heughed, his deep voice reverberating through the car, sending a shiver down my spine. “Don’t worry, Jasmine. I’m not expecting anything—yet.”

That one word hung heavy between us, thick with promise. His eyes slid from the road, trailing over me, burning a path from my bare legs to my chest. The look in his eyes was feral, as if he wanted to rip the dress off my body and devour every inch of me until there was nothing left. My throat tightened, and I instinctively crossed my legs.

That look should be illegal.

Heat surged through me, rising to my cheeks. I quickly turned away, staring out the window as the city lights blurred, trying topose myself. My mind was spinning from the evening—the art gallery, the Lunaris Amulet, Ryder’s dangerous teasing… It felt like some twisted fairytale.

As we pulled up to the Pack house, my breath hitched. Anticipation—or maybe fear—buzzed in my veins, making it impossible to forget the way Ryder’s eyes had ravaged me in the car. That look wasn’t going to leave my mind anytime soon.

With a flick of the car keys, he killed the engine. I made a move toward my room, but his hand gripped mine, firm and unyielding.

“You’reing to my room tonight,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

“Ryder, I—” I started, searching for some excuse, but he cut me off with a single look.

“I’ll have Seraphina move your things tomorrow. How many times do I have to tell you? You’re mine.” His voice was a growl, low and possessive, and before I could respond, his thumb traced my lower lip, and his teeth grazed my neck, sending a jolt of desire straight through me.

Mine. The way he said it sent a rush of heat straight between my legs. God help me.

Ryder stopped in front of his bedroom door, pushing it open like he owned the world. “Make yourself at home,” he said, his eyes gleaming as he watched me step inside.

The room was all dark wood, masculine, and dripping with Ryder’s scent. It was intoxicating, just like him.

“Take a shower, put something on,” he handed me a robe, his eyes still roaming over me. “Or better yet, just wear one of my shirts.” I hesitated, feeling the heat of his gaze on me, but I didn’t undress yet. Instead, I took a slow look around, buying time. I could feel his eyes trailing every inch of me, like a predator sizing up his prey.

“Where do you want the Lunaris Amulet?” Ryder asked, holding up the delicate piece.

I nced around the room, my eyes settling on the spot above the firece. “There.”

He hung it up with deliberate care, stepping back to admire it. As he did, his eyes flicked back to me, dark and intense.

“You hungry?” I asked, trying to change the subject, to give myself some room to breathe. “I can grab something from the kitchen.”

Ryder’s gaze locked onto mine, his fingers tracing the curve of my arm. “The only thing I’m hungry for is you, Jasmine,” he murmured, his voice like velvet, his lips brushing the shell of my ear, sending a sharp tremor through my body.
