Shut Up, Young Lady, Obediently Hand Over The Money And Don't Confess!
Chapter 260 : I Will Come to Save You.
"Wait, so what you were asking me before was whether I had done anything strange to the underwear?"
Felyn returned home along with the sunset.
Bernice was sitting at the dining table, having dinner with Daiyi.
The steam in the pot kept pushing against the lid, making a comforting clanking sound.
"What else."
Bernice speared a piece of steak with her fork, put it in her mouth, and squinted her eyes in satisfaction.
"If she found out the underwear was no longer clean, she would definitely hunt you down, so I was thinking of you."
"So I should thank you?"
Felyn, wearing thick gloves, brought the stew to the table.
"Bernice, did you explain to that person... that magical beast? That I didn't steal her underwear on purpose."
"Ah, this, I forgot." Bernice stuck out her tongue and chuckled.
"You forgot something so important! Don't think I'll forgive you just because you're making that face!"
Felyn untied his apron, sat down, and stared hard at Bernice.
"Did that thing say anything else?"
"Nothing much, just told you, the silver demon, to be careful and not to steal her underwear next time. Felyn, you can just steal mine and Daiyi's."
"Shut up!"
Felyn smacked Bernice's head hard, wishing he could flatten her.
"Ow, that hurts!" Bernice clutched her head and looked at Daiyi beside her.
"Your boyfriend hit me, Miss Daiyi. Aren't you going to stand up for me?"
But the atmosphere suddenly turned cold.
Felyn watched as Daiyi froze in place. She had one hand covering her face, staring blankly at the two of them.
"Daiyi?"
"Hmm? Oh, I'm fine. I was just lost in thought."
Felyn and Bernice exchanged a glance, both feeling that Daiyi was being a little strange.
Dinner quickly ended amidst the clatter of knives and forks.
"Thanks for the meal." Bernice rubbed her stomach in satisfaction and got up to leave.
"Wait, Bernice."
Felyn patted her shoulder, his eyes full of starlight as he looked at her gently.
"Felyn, want me to stay the night? The three of us could..."
Felyn held out his hand in front of Bernice, a standard smile plastered on his face. "You haven't paid for your meal yet."
"You're actually charging me?"
"What else? It's a good thing that person was in a good mood today, otherwise I'd definitely be done for."
Bernice flicked her bangs, her expression instantly switching to something more alluring.
"Senior Felyn~ Do I have to pay too? I thought I was the special one," she said, gently bumping Felyn with her shoulder, her voice sickeningly sweet.
"Alright, I wasn't being considerate."
Felyn paused, then continued, "You are special, so it's double."
"Tsk."
After Bernice left, Felyn started tidying up the house.
Washing dishes, mopping the floor, scooping Hermi's litter.
As Felyn did the housework, Daiyi, sitting on the sofa, kept her eyes on him.
Because of his presence, the house had become much livelier.
Daiyi originally liked quiet, liked to be undisturbed.
But the house after Felyn came back... didn't seem so bad.
Seeing the scene of Felyn and Bernice bickering, Daiyi had smiled to herself.
It was a genuine smile.
Finally, she was also living an ordinary person's life.
The people around her would argue over silly things, and the dinner table was no longer just for discussing work and church affairs.
She really liked this kind of life.
But how much longer could she enjoy it?
She was about to become a Divine Child, a person with no independent consciousness.
Felyn was a professional bootlicker who would never become lovers with a client.
From the looks of it, it was impossible for her and Felyn to be together.
But since they wouldn't be together, it wouldn't hurt to be a little willful, right?
"Felyn." Daiyi, sitting on the sofa, hugged a pillow, her chin resting on it.
Felyn leaned on the mop, wiping his sweat.
"Sleep with me tonight?"
"I'm turning off the lights, okay?"
"Mhm."
With a click, the room plunged into darkness.
Felyn lay on the mattress, feeling like it had been a long time since he had been in this room.
Daiyi usually didn't let him clean her bedroom.
Felyn had thought the young lady's bedroom would be a mess, but it turned out to be surprisingly clean and tidy.
"Say something, Felyn."
Daiyi's voice came from the darkness.
"Let me think. They said a member of the royal family is coming to school tomorrow, but no one knows who. Everyone's quite curious..."
"I'm planning to pan-fry steak again tomorrow night. Today's was a bit overcooked..."
Listening to Felyn talk endlessly about the things happening around him, Daiyi turned her head, wanting to see his face clearly.
But there was no moon tonight; she couldn't see anything.
Just like the future, everything was shrouded in darkness.
Daiyi suddenly remembered what Bernice had said a few days ago when she went to pick Felyn up from school: "If you become lovers, Felyn will definitely come to save you."
Will he come to save me?
"Felyn."
Felyn, who was chattering on, heard Daiyi call his name softly and stopped.
"I'm here."
"It's nothing. I just wanted to call your name."
I won't be able to call it in the future.
Daiyi didn't ask Felyn that question.
Bernice's words had a prerequisite: they had to become lovers.
And Felyn would not become lovers with a client.
So the question was meaningless.
Felyn turned on his side, facing Daiyi's bed.
As a professional, it was natural to dig into the client's inner emotions.
Daiyi was clearly not herself tonight, too quiet.
And what was on her mind wasn't hard to guess. Only when she encountered family matters would she ask him to sleep with her at night. It had been like this the past few times.
Both Bernice and her father had mentioned to Felyn that Daiyi would be leaving soon.
Felyn wouldn't forget the rather heavy topic from the last time he slept with Daiyi.
Daiyi hoped Felyn would remember her for ten years.
Although Felyn didn't know the specifics of what was happening in Daiyi's family, he knew that her days after returning home would probably not be easy.
"Daiyi."
He called her name softly, taking her hand which was hanging by the side of the bed.
Daiyi did not resist Felyn's action. She said nothing, letting Felyn hold her hand tightly.
"I won't leave you, Daiyi. If we are still lovers at that time, I can go home with you."
Felyn guessed that Daiyi's worry was going home alone, so he comforted her this way.
Clearly, he guessed right.
Hearing Felyn's words, Daiyi's hand trembled slightly.
This young lady, who was always indifferent to the world, finally showed a moment of vulnerability in front of Felyn.
"Then will you argue with my parents for me?"
Felyn felt Daiyi actively squeeze his hand, the grip a little tight.
"I won't. What if you make up? You'll talk bad about me behind my back."
"I don't have a habit of talking bad about people behind their backs," she chuckled lightly.
"But if someone bullies you, I will definitely help you."
"Really?"
"Really. Aren't we lovers?"
This was part of the contract.
Daiyi knew this too.
But even if it was a false promise, Felyn had unintentionally answered the question in Daiyi's heart.
He will come to save me.
Even if this sentence is fake, I am satisfied.
At least, at least someone could say such a thing to me.
"Felyn, can you come up?"
"Come up?"
Daiyi patted the pillow beside her. "Are you shy about sleeping with me?"
"Miss Daiyi is so beautiful, maybe I'll do something to you."
"It's okay. I'll scream and shout then."
Daiyi lifted the covers. "Just for a little while. Lie with me for a bit."
Felyn hesitated for a moment, but eventually approached the bed lightly.
As he slowly slipped into the covers, the scent of lavender from Daiyi instantly enveloped him. The girl, having just showered, smelled wonderful.
The warmth of the covers immediately pressed against Felyn's skin, the comfortable heat left by Daiyi's body temperature.
The two lay facing each other, Daiyi's hands clasped together under her pillow.
She slowly closed her eyes, her legs curled up, her long black hair scattered on the bedsheet.
"Good night, Felyn."
Felyn couldn't see the smile on the girl's lips.
"Good night, Miss Daiyi."
