CHAPTER 888: CHAPTER 886: FPD ENDORSEMENT

The next day, Diamond woke up feeling very refreshed. She slept earlier despite the busy day she had instead of resting.

That morning, the two sisters plus Ivy had a hearty breakfast before leaving the villa in two separate cars.

Diamond drove into Ivy’s car while Ruby drove her own. Ruby was going to school while Diamond and Ivy were going to the police station. It was that day of shooting the endorsement and she couldn’t wait.

When they got there, they were welcomed warmly, and she got to meet some of the leaders who spoke well with her.

Diamond was very humbled and spoke politely with the people who put their lives for the normal citizens’ safety and security.

Without these people, the criminals would be running rampant all over.

After meeting them, she met with the lady in charge of PR and talked about the script that they were going to shoot.

For the promotion video, she was going to act as a female police officer who was hard-working, very persevering and worked hard from the police school until she got recruited officially. As a police officer, she would show her dedication to serve the people and the country through solving cases, whether small or big.

It was more of a promotion video that was meant to encourage citizens to become law-abiding people as well as serve the country.

She won’t be the only person in the video, but some of the police officers will be joining her as well.

She had never acted before, but she didn’t believe that it would be very hard. Moreover, she was going to wear a uniform. How could she not work hard?

They had prepared everything beforehand, so the work was pretty much smoother, though it took hours to get half of the content recorded. It wasn’t because they were unprofessional, but the content was much.

Everything was shot in the police station, leaving outside shooting for tomorrow.

Diamond ate her lunch at the cafeteria, which was something new for her. She couldn’t help but take a photo of herself and upload it online, causing the fans to be happy once again.

After a day of shooting, Diamond didn’t feel tired, but more energetic. However, a day must come to an end. So around 4 pm, she was done recording for the day and had to leave.

However, she didn’t leave with Ivy, but Waylon came to pick her up.

She and he dined together at his place. This time, they didn’t cross any boundaries but merely ate and had a nice walk.

It was a simple date, which they both enjoyed.

After spending quality time with each other, Waylon drove Diamond to her villa complex and left after dropping her off.

That night, Diamond received a call from a WYCE representative who wanted to talk to her about collaborating. It sounded very tempting, but she didn’t have time to think much about it. So, she promised to think deeply about it and come back to them when she was free.

After that, she busied herself with work reports and mostly the report from Nancy about the supermarkets.

The scourges were identified and released and new people had been recruited.

The supermarkets were ready to open, and that was some great news to hear. She had been receiving complaints from loyal customers who were unable to buy their fresh produce because of the earlier issue.

But now, the shops could open once again. She was looking forward to seeing that happening.

Knowing that the supermarkets would be opening, she knew that she needed to prepare more meat and fresh produce. So that night, after dealing with all the reports, she visited the Golden Space and operated the machines in earnestness.

Once she was done, she took what she had packed to the shadow realm and contacted Brenda to deal with it.

After doing so, she retired to bed, eager to see what the next day would bring to her.

The next day, she and Ivy went back to the police station, where they resumed the second half of the recording, which was done outside.

Diamond was very dedicated and worked well with everyone, which made them like her more.

On top of that, she had Garnet bring some snacks and beverages from the café to treat the hard-working civil servants, earning their love even more.

This time’s recording didn’t last as long as the previous one. They were now used to each other, so the work was smoother, and that worked well in their favor.

Around lunch, the work was officially done and Diamond ate with the team harmoniously.

After that, she met with the leader she talked with regarding some security business previously and had a chat for nearly an hour before leaving the office with a smile on her face.

With all the work done at the police station, she was driven to the supermarket by Ivy where she met with Nancy, who showed her the group of staff that would be working there.

It was quite surprising that at the second supermarket, Agatha’s cousin she brought it through connections was cleaner than most staff and managed to keep her position.

She just hoped that the other would remain that way and not be swayed by temptations.

After seeing all the staff, she made a brief speech, more like a carrot and stick speech.

"I hope that what has happened recently has awakened something in you. I hope that nothing of this kind happens ever again because the second time it does, someone is going to surely be held responsible and spend some quality time in the holding cells or prison.

At the same time, I want to guarantee you that as long as you work well for me, I won’t be stingy. You all have seen the benefits that the company gives. Before you start having other thoughts, think about how you will fare after losing all that."

The old staff didn’t dare utter a single word. They were all users of the D-Angel app and knew how many companies Diamond currently has.

Some of them joined and were even earning. To think that they nearly lost their jobs and such a lucrative opportunity just because of greedy people, they were enraged. Thankfully, they were cleared and back at work.

The new staff were still in awe at learning about Diamond’s lowkey. Now that they know about her businesses, it could be seen just how much she was hiding from the public. The source of money that others were clamoring to find about was completely in the open, but it couldn’t be shared with outsiders.

After dealing with the new staff and talking to the new managers in charge of the two supermarkets, Diamond finally left, leaving everything in their hands.

Since Nancy found them, it meant that they were good. They would liaise with Brenda in the future. She just needed to count the money.

As for dealing with the other traitors, Diamond was going to deal with them in the next two days. She didn’t have any appointments except to sign for her new car to arrive. Apart from that, dealing with these traitors seemed large.

"So, here is to mothers near or far,

On her way back home, she received a call and upon checking the caller, a smile blossomed on her face.

"Hello, Chief Raya," she answered the phone with a smile.

[Hello, Diamond. Are you by chance free to talk?]

"Yep. I am. Is there anything that you need from me?" understanding Raya the most, the busy woman, she didn’t want to waste any time speaking of pleasantries that didn’t exist.

[Yes. I would like to discuss a business deal. Are you up for it?]

Diamond grinned when she heard that. Business deals were her favorite. Anything that makes her earn, she loves it.

"Tell me about it," she urged, curious about what Raya wanted from her.

Moments later, she finally got to know what the other party wanted.

[We are in current need of some special pills. Only a grandmaster can concoct them and we need them urgently.]

"What kind?"

[Spirit gathering, fertility and breakthrough pills.]

Diamond’s eyes widened when she heard that.

Did Raya know that she happens to have these pills in stock at the moment? She hadn’t reached the stage where she could concoct such pills but her Golden Space gave her a wonderful gift. It so happens that she has plenty of them stored there.

"What are you willing to give up? These pills aren’t easy to concoct and the herbs required are scarce," with a cool tone, she asked Raya.

There was no need to expose herself to Raya that she couldn’t concoct such pills yet. Since she already has them, she might as well benefit more.

She might belong to the country, but she wasn’t their slave.
