Everyone on the battlefield felt the presence of a new summon and couldn’t help but look in its direction.

The totem spirit was a serpentine creature with an affinity for fire element. As soon as it appeared, the spirit immediately clashed with Droge.

The resulting shockwave of two 5th Circle beings fighting pushed away anyone who wasn’t a 4th Circler.

This changed the dynamics of the battle. With seven new High Summoners and the serpent spirit to keep the Wyvern busy, the monster side was quickly put at a disadvantage.

Within just a few minutes, more than a quarter of the monsters had died. The dungeon’s resistance was being pushed back.

With no choice left, Ash commanded the force to fall back to the 13th floor and form a new line of defense. While retreating, Minerva was forced to sacrifice one of her 4th Circle Death Knights.

Many of the dungeon inhabitants who participated in the battle were injured and Calliya’s team also had many casualties.

At this moment, only Droge was holding the floor against the summoned spirit and it appeared he was winning. Even though both were at the 5th circle, a spirit was still inferior compared to the living creature.

After falling back to the lower floor, the mana suppression felt by outsiders increased by a bit. As natives of the dungeon, it was not a problem for the monsters. This also bolstered their morale.

Ash, being the commander of the team, obviously realised that he should’ve utilised this homeground advantage to its best extent.

’We should’ve waited a bit and let the elves come deeper.’ The Dark Knight replied when the dungeon fairy contacted him.

’Should I send more reinforcements? I can beg the dragon to finish off their summon if you want!’ Lena anxiously replied.

Although she had grown a lot more in these few months, her intellect was still not there yet. She couldn’t strategize properly and hadn’t anticipated that the opponents were hiding such a trump card.

’Yes, send the 23rd floor’s ogre tribe warriors. 3rd Circle and above.’ Ash replied. ’The Wyvern is already about to defeat the summon. We probably don’t need her help.’

It was already an extraordinary task for those summoners to bring one 5th Circle existence with their power. The fact that they were able to keep it sustained for so long was also surprising.

’Just some more time and they won’t be able to-’ As Ash was thinking, his senses suddenly sent a warning.

On the elves’ side, those summoners were once again performing a ritual. One could see a large heptagonal magic circle below them.

A huge amount of mana was gathering and every 4th Circler could feel that space was being ripped apart. An abnormally evil aura started radiating out of the rift in spacetime.

Meanwhile, the seven summoners were starting to rapidly age. However, they resolutely kept chanting and stabilised the summoning portal. Soon, a dark, ominous claw reached out of it.

At this moment, Minerva, who had finished casting her AOE spell, raised her hand and pointed toward the new summon with a wary gaze.

"Underworld Ritual!"

The pirates fired cannons on the passenger ship, constantly rocking it. On the decks, the people were in chaos. The tied men were shouting louder than ever as they saw the fearsome pirate ship come closer and closer.

Soon, ropes were thrown over and the young pirates slinged to the passenger ship. Some went straight toward the lower deck to secure the loot, while some began questioning the men who were tied.

However, they didn’t notice a man and a woman standing on the main mast’s nest. Jake looked at the chaos happening with a slight smile on his face. After learning about these pirates, he threw away his previous plans.

"They’re really focused on conquering this ship." Jake licked his lips, looking at the rowdy young women below.

Moving his gaze to the galleon, he focused on a tall woman with an eyepatch. At the moment, Pristina, who was overseeing all this, suddenly looked upwards and her pupils dilated.

’She sensed me? Interesting...’ Jake was surprised.

"Fiona, keep those 3rd Circlers busy!" He sent a message to her before casting the teleportation spell.

A loud clang rang on the other side as Jake appeared behind the pirate captain. However, she’d already anticipated this moment, and successfully parried his scythe.

Pristina quickly used a movement skill to gain some distance and brandished her rapier with an irritated expression.

"A 4th Circler sneaking an attack?" Her cherry lips moved. "How disgusting!"

"Oh?" Jake snickered hearing that. "You’re not talking about morals to me, are you?"

"Silence!" Pristina raised her weapon which glowed with a cyan light. An immense amount of mana gathered towards it.

Jake couldn’t help but be serious. This woman wasn’t your usual 4th Circler. She was only a step away from reaching the next rank. Even with his defense as a demon, that attack would seriously injure him if it hit.

Without wasting a single moment, he kicked the deck and shot towards her, leaving behind a shockwave

"Too late!" The Pirate Captain wasn’t in any mood to let her opponent disrupt her skill. She immediately rose to the air and swiped her rapier vertically downwards.

A large, azure gust of wind followed that attack and incisively cut through the space between her and Jake.

But before it could truly hit him, a Mana Barrier flashed for a second and Jake disappeared. Surprisingly, the ship wasn’t damaged in the slightest by that move. One could tell that it was enchanted.

’Where’d he go?’ Pristina was on high alert after seeing her opponent suddenly disappear into thin air.

"Miss me?" A blade left a cut on her shoulder as Jake flashed next to her. The next moment, he vanished.

This movement skill was especially tricky to counter for someone like Pristina who seemed to have lower agility than Jake. However, her intuition was her strong point.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Multiple moves were exchanged within seconds. As time passed, the pirate began to notice patterns in Jake’s movements. Her confidence in parrying his attacks increased.

"Is this all you got?" She smiled, singlehandedly deflecting the shadowy attacks that seemingly came from all sides.

But at this moment, her smile faltered.

’W-What?!" Pristina’s blood flow suddenly went haywire, making her unable to defend properly. Before she knew, various cuts appeared all over her body and blood seemed to crazily flow out.

That same blood turned into multiple crimson chains and restrained her.

"You... you are a vampire!" Pristina’s mind was reeling. Due to severe blood loss in her brain, she wasn’t even able to think properly.

At this moment, Jake appeared in front of her and grabbed her neck.

"Vampire?" He chuckled as he transformed into his true demonic form. "No, I’m much worse."
