    From the moment Corey found himself in the presence of The Capra King, Corey had always wondered how he could defeat him.

    Although he knew very little about the heavens, luck, hell, and the like, he just knew that it did not make sense for a massive amount of his luck to be deducted just to end up facing an extremely powerful being that possessed an infinity crystal.

    As a tier 2, facing a being that emitted an aura that was as strong as that of a tier 6 or even higher than a tier 6 was way too much for even him.

    Although he had the blood of the Defying Paragon flowing in his veins, the difference in power was just way too much.

    Corey had read books and had heard stories of how powerful beings fell to people who were weaker than them because of their foolish pride.

    Corey was never interested in stories like this because it seemed all too fictional and stupid to him. He had read books where the main character or a particular character defeated extremely powerful beings because those powerful beings looked down on the weaker character.

    Whenever Corey read books like this, the allure of the book would always plummet in his eyes because the main character was lucky, and in the worst case, Corey might even decide to drop the book because of such a thing.

    In his mind, a powerful being should have pride, but should not be so foolish that their pride would cause them to perform extremely stupid acts.

    "So, what do you say, disciple of The Old Ones? Do you prefer to unleash your strongest attack or you want to uphold the pride and dignity of The Old Ones by fighting me to the death?"

    Corey gazed into the pure black and deep brown eyes of the Capra King, and he slowly and calmly said,

    "I''ll gladly take you up on your first offer... Capra King."

    The Capra King gazed into Corey''s deep violet and sky blue eyes for a few seconds, and then he chuckled.

    "It seems you don''t possess the pride and dignity of The Old Ones, but I should not be surprised. Despite their power, The Old Ones are still a bunch of shameless bastards, so I''m not that surprised."

    After speaking, the Capra King slowly fell to the ground at approximately fifty meters from Corey and Selene.

    The instant the Capra King''s feet touched the ground, the entire floor of the flat continent they were on rippled like water, and Corey felt like the Capra King had become one with the continent.

    It was an extremely strange and disturbing feeling.

    The ground behind the Capra King slowly rose, and a few seconds later, a rock that was large enough to accommodate the size of the Capra King emerged from the ground. The Capra King sat on the rock with one leg raised, and an arm resting on the leg.

    He gestured at Corey with one of his four arms, and with a smile, he said, "Come on, give it your best. Who knows, you might surprise me."

    Corey stared at the Capra King for a few seconds, and then he shifted his gaze to Selene, and his brows twitched.

    Corey felt an urge, and without hesitation, he gave in to the urge.

    He manipulated the runes in the air with extreme and immense difficulty, and then he conjured a large ball of water and poured it on Selene.
