CHAPTER 955: 952: NOT SAFE

"What did the scouts say? Is it true that there’s an Immortal Beast in the grassy plains?"

As Madi Brujah heard Klaus Castiel ’s question, her expression became dark as she recalled the past and how she got to be in her current position.

It was not only the Brujah Clan of the Vampires that knew of the presence of the Celestial Dewfern, every single person that was seated at the round table knew about the Celestial Dewfern.

But after a raffle draw between the Temple of Water, the Temple of Flames, the Temple of Earth, the Temple of Darkness, the Brujah Clan, The Moon Hunters, the Adventurer’s Guild, the Hunter’s Association, and the Mage Association... the Brujah gained the right to search and obtain ownership of the Grade 7 herb.

The Supreme Sea Kingdom and the Supreme Celestial Empire had no interest in the Celestial Dewfern since Grade 7 herbs was something that was not rare to them.

As for the Cabal, the Obsidian Syndicate, the Crimson Circle, and the Black Monastery... They resigned themselves from partaking in the draw because they knew that they were severely outmatched amongst all of them when it came down to power.

If any of the outside organizations decided to attack them, they wouldn’t last before they perished without completing any of their missions.

At the end of the raffle draw, the Brujah Clan won, much to the immense displeasure of the werewolves.

Complaints and attempts to void their win were made, but after Klaus Castiel intervened, every complain and attempts to prevent the Brujah Clan from going after the Celestial Dewfern was no more.

’Now, I wish that he had not intervened and that these bastards were the ones that won the draw.’

Madi Brujah clenched her first despite her stoic expression, but she could feel the looks of mockery from the other organizations. Most especially, the Moon Hunters.

She wished she could rip the disgusting werewolves to pieces, but with Klaus Castiel present and with him being the unanimous leader of the encampment, she could not do a thing.

Despite the fact that he was just a Tier 5, none of them could go against him despite that they were Tier 6s... Aside from Azhrun Tydral.

Although he was an extremely powerful Tier 5 with the capability to fight above his Tier, they were more afraid of his backing than his strength.

They knew that if anything should happen to him or if he desired for them and their organization to be destroyed, he could do that in the blink of an eye.

He was a Prince of an Empire after all.

Madi suddenly recalled the silver elves who had given them this piece of information.

’If they appear before me, I’ll kill them. Those silver bastards.’

Thistime around, she gritted her teeth in anger.

"Madi Brujah. I will not ask again." Klaus’ cold voice drifted into Madi’s ears, shaking her out of her train of thoughts.

Her pupils shook slightly, and then turned to her right where Ronan Veyclaw, the alpha of the werewolves in the border.

Before Ronan could react, she looked away and looked at Klaus.

"Yes. Just as we feared, there’s an Immortal Beast in the grassy plains."

Klaus’ frown deepened, and the expressions of everybody also changed. Even Ronan Veyclaw who was having the time of his life because of Madi’s misfortune became solemn.

Madi shifted her gaze to the left slightly where Azhrun sat with his legs crossed on the table and a slight but calm furrow of his brows.

She looked back at Klaus. "The scouts could not go close to the location of the battle because they could still feel the spread out perception of the Immortal Beast, so they could not get a look at the beast."

She paused, and her fists clenched the more.

"Through a treasure we have. It has been confirmed that my people died, and we suffered immense losses due to this."

Ronan Veyclaw scoffed with a light smirk, and Madi glanced at him with an emotionless gaze before looking back at Klaus who had a thoughtful and a solemn expression.

"I don’t need to say it, but it’s clear as day that the Silver Elves tricked us. They told us about the Celestial Dewfern, but they didn’t tell us about the presence of an Immortal Beast. They definitely wanted to use the Immortal Beast to kill all of us, majority of us. They never intended for us to get the Celestial Dewfern."

Madi’s pale face was slightly reddened and veins could be seen on her neck due to the anger and bloodlust she was struggling to control.

The world took on a light shade of red as Madi’s bloodlust was palpable for all of them to see.

Usually, they would have reprimanded Madi for using her powers in a gathering like this, but they didn’t because they also understood that Madi’s words were not pointless.

It could have been any of them that suffered such a loss, but because they were lucky, they did not.

"As entertaining as it would be to keep on gloating in the Brujah Clan’s demise, it should be known that her words carry weight and we should not take them lightly."

Eric Virion of the Hunter’s Association spoke with a light hearted tone as he looked at Madi with a light but dangerous smile.

Madi’s eyes flashed with slight surprise since she never expected the Hunter Association to openly support her.

Aside from the Werewolves, the Hunter Association was an organization that was disliked by some organizations and races, and the Vampires and even the Werewolves were included.

The number of Vampires and Werewolves the Hunter Association had killed was not little, and Eric was a known hunter who had killed far more vampires than many other hunters at his Rank and Tier.

Eric looked at Klaus, and his smile reduced slightly. "I believe that we should be extremely wary of the Silver Elves and we should also investigate them... They accepted a peace agreement with all of us, but they’ve violated the agreement if they actually sent the Brujah Clan to the jaws of an Immortal Beast."

Eric paused, and then he looked at everybody with an extremely solemn expression.

"The worst case scenario for us is that there many more Immortals on this land, and if that’s true. We’re not safe at all."
