Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon
Chapter 959 - 956: Princess Ecles
CHAPTER 959: 956: PRINCESS ECLES
"Isn’t that what I should be asking you."
Corey raised a brow at the fearless words of the little elf, and to say he was not surprised by her choice of words and tone would be a lie.
"Seems you’re not as afraid as I thought you were."
Corey commented while raising the girl’s body a little bit higher. She winced, and he glanced at her wounds before shifting his gaze back to her.
"Do you want me to heal you completely?"
The little girl’s mouth remained sealed as she looked at Corey with an attempted fearless expression, but it only looked cute in Corey’s eyes.
Corey shook his head, and then he opened his palm. The liquid ball of cyan poison hovered above his hand, and the girl’s pupils shook intensely the moment her eyes landed on the poison.
"Take it away! Please no! Take it away! I don’t want to go through that pain again!"
She tried to distance herself from Corey, but he had already made a telekinetic hand which was holding her in place. She could not away from Corey or the poison at all.
Corey tilted his head with a indifferent expression as he brought the poison closer to the little girl’s face.
The little girl trembled violently with sweat pouring down her face, and just as the poison was about to touch the little elf’s face, she started crying.
"Wahhhh!!!! Wahhhh!!!!!"
Corey blinked, and he was rooted to the spot with an extremely stunned expression.
"What the hell?"
"See what you’ve done. You made the little girl cry. What kind of an insufferable man are you? So little girls are not even safe from you?"
Corey looked at Pamela with twitching lips as she knelt before the crying little elf, and then she attempted to scoop the little girl up, but Corey’s Will prevented her from doing so.
She gave Corey a glare which reminded him of the look his mother used to give his father at times. A look which always terrified his father.
Before he even knew it, he dispersed his Will, almost like his instincts were warning him that he was in immense danger that was far more dangerous than the danger of Death.
’What just happened?’
Corey looked with a blank expression as Pamela carried the crying girl. She patted her on her back while consoling her and telling her that everything was going to be alright.
It took a while, but the little elf finally stopped crying, and Pamela gently placed her on the floor.
"Don’t worry again, hmm. I’ll protect you from the ugly bad man."
"Hmm."
She wiped the tears off the little girl’s face as she nodded, and Corey’s lips twitched.
He had the urge to say something, but for some reason, he had a feeling that Pamela was like a leopard who was ready to pounce on him once he stepped on her tail.
’What the hell is happening?’ Corey blinked with a blank expression, wondering how he suddenly became the bad guy.
He watched as Pamela created a healing formation which slowly healed the injury on her back. Although it was not as fast as Dream Healing, it was still faster than many other healing skills.
"What is your name, little girl?"
Pamela asked as she healed the girl who was hugging her left arm while giving Corey a glare.
The girl frowned slightly when she heard Pamela’s words, and a conflicted expression appeared on her face.
"You don’t have to be wary of us, little girl. As you can see, we’re not bad guys and we don’t plan on hurting you."
The little girl blinked, and then she looked at Pamela before looking back at Corey.
Pamela chuckled. "Well... apart from him though. But don’t worry, I’ll protect you from him."
The little girl alternated her gaze from Pamela to Corey multiple times before settling on Pamela.
"You- You don’t know who I am? And you’re not one of those bad guys?"
Pamela smiled, and then she shook her head. "No, kiddo. We don’t know who you are, and we’re also not bad guys."
"Hmm." The girl pondered for three seconds before she eventually spoke. "I’m Princess Ecles."
Pamela raised her brows in slight surprise. "Wow. A princess. No wonder you’re so beautiful."
Eccles smiled brightly, and she nodded vehemently with the same bright smile.
"I know. But my sisters are even more beautiful. I want to be like biggest sister when I grow up!"
Pamela smiled, "How old are you by the way?"
"Hmm..." Ecles frowned as she raised her fingers and started counting her fingers. "I think I’m five or six. No. Five. I remember. My mother told me that I have used up all the fingers on my right hand after my last birthday."
Pamela’s eyes widened slightly, but then she smiled. "You’re just five, and you’re already so strong, Ecles."
Ecles proudly raised her chin with a proud smile to complement it. "My mother said I have the most talent in the family but I still have to work hard."
Pamela ruffled Ecles’ hair, and the little girl laughed with a smile.
"Now I’m very curious about your mother and sisters. Do you want to see them?"
Ecles’ eyes instantly brightened the moment she heard Pamela’s words. "Yes! I want to!"
But a second later, her smile and the light in her eyes became dim as she looked down.
"But you guys can’t take me to my mother and sisters."
Pamela raised a brow. "And why is that?"
"Because of the people that captured me. They’re too strong for you."
"And who captured you? Humans like us? Or Outsiders like us?"
Ecles shook her head. "No. Not humans or Outsiders like you guys. Other elves... The rebels."
Pamela looked at Corey with surprise and a bit of confusion, and Corey shrugged with a nonchalant expression, not showing a reaction to Ecles’ words.
However, he was also surprised that it was a group of Silver Elves that had attempted to capture Ecles who was a Princess for that matter.
"Oh wait. Now that you mentioned humans. I remember something."
