CHAPTER 196: CHAPTER 196: ACCIDENTS HAPPEN
"Alright, here I come!" I exclaimed as I shot forward, whipping the wooden blade across at her chest as I closed in on her.
She swiftly arched her body back, the blade narrowly missing her before she snapped forward and swung her head towards me.
Her forehead thudded against mine, dazing me slightly upon impact, before I sprang back as she lunged at me, driving my knee up as she drove her right fist forward.
My knee struck her wrist as her fist began to close in on me, knocking her arm up before I swung my blade across as she whipped the back of her left fist towards me.
The wooden blade struck the back of her hand, before I swiftly backed away as she got low and swept her foot at my ankles, the end of her foot grazing my shins before I got some distance away from her.
I then cracked my neck with a tilt of my head, letting out a slow exhale before I sprinted forward at full speed, slashing at her neck with the wooden blade as I closed in.
She raised her left hand up, blunting the slash with her palm, grimacing slightly before she quickly twisted her body across to the right as I drove my left fist towards her chest, her body tensing and her cheeks reddening as the side of my fist brushed the front of her chest, her boobs jiggling slightly upon impact.
I, uh, think I’ll just pretend that didn’t happen. Can’t let myself get distracted. Focus!
She pursed her lips as she composed herself and swung her left fist out, her knuckles grazing the tip of my nose as I quickly leaned back, before raising my blade up defensively as she took a swift step forward and drove her right fist forward with immense force.
A sharp, splintering crunch rang out as her fist slammed onto the middle of my wooden blade, deep cracks spreading out before it broke in half.
I quickly leapt back while simultaneously driving my foot out as the top half of the blade plummeted, striking it and launching it straight up towards her face.
Her eyes widened slightly before she quickly tilted her head across to the right, the broken wooden shard grazing her left cheek and the top of her ears, before hitting the floor behind her with a clatter and skidding away.
"Woah, close one, that was a nice move. You should get another blade, you can’t fight with that one," She remarked, rubbing her thumb across her cheek as I tossed the broken blade away.
"Nah, let’s keep going. I’ll try fighting bare-handed," I replied, as I cracked my knuckles.
"Alright, if you say so," She smiled, before she shot towards me.
I ducked as she closed in and swung her arm across at my head, her fist whizzing past the top of my head, before I drove a rapid uppercut towards her chin, as her knee simultaneously shot up towards me.
Her knee slammed onto my chin right as my fist collided against hers, our heads jerking up in unison upon impact, before we both stumbled back shakily, disoriented.
She shook her head before we both shot towards each other, I drove my left fist forward as I closed in, grazing her right ear as she tilted her head across, before she struck my stomach with a swift jab.
I grimaced before grabbing her wrist with my right hand, tightening my grip before I grabbed her back of her head with my left hand and yanked my arm back, pulling her head towards mine and slamming my forehead against hers.
I swiftly let go of her and began to back away, before she shakily lunged at me, her movements a bit wobbly, before her eyes widened in alarm as she suddenly tripped and fell forward.
Her forehead collided against my chest with a thunk, before I lost my balance as her weight pushed into me, the two of falling over and collapsing in a heap.
"Ow...," I muttered, before my mind blanked as I met her gaze from inches away.
I blinked a couple of times as we stared at each other, growing keenly aware of the sensation of her body pressing into mine.
She gulped slightly as her cheeks turned slightly red, her eyes glistening and trembling, before she tensed as I placed my hands on her sides, taking hold of her...before gently lifting her off of me, a bemused look appearing on her face.
I set her aside before getting back onto my feet, holding my hand down towards her to help her up.
She stared at my hand for a moment, before quietly taking hold of it and let me pull her back onto her feet.
I took a quiet, deep breath to compose myself, my heart racing a bit. That was close...
"U-Um, sorry, guess I got a bit clumsy," She muttered, fidgeting as her gaze darted about, unable to look me in the eye.
"No worries, accidents happen. That was a pretty awkward position we ended up in, huh?" I grinned in an effort to lighten the mood, before patting her head.
My heart skipped a beat as she tentatively met my gaze, batting her eyes before looking away, nodding slightly.
Th-That was so cute, and she’s not even doing it on purpose.
"A-Anyway, uh...let’s get back to sparring! No, wait, I...I think I need a sec to, uh, catch my breath. Yeah, I’m feeling a bit dazed.
Maybe we should stop with the headbutting, we’re going to end up concussing each other, if we haven’t already. We both got hit on the chin too," She responded, calming down a bit the more she spoke.
"Yeah, true...then, how about this, no more attacks to the head, only neck-down," I suggested, as I stretched my arms out.
"Sure, sounds good. A restriction like that will make it more challenging, so it should make for good training," She nodded, before adding as she took a breath, "Alright, I’m good to go, let’s get back to it!"
"Cool, let’s do this," I smiled, before heading to the other side of the room, taking my place and putting my guard up.
"Hope you’re ready, Kai...here I come!"
