Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons
Chapter 129: Battle of the Center
CHAPTER 129: CHAPTER 129: BATTLE OF THE CENTER
Beside the glorious Star River.
Kane and his team were positioned on a rather remote floating platform.
After resting for two days, they re-entered the Dungeon with full spirits.
Looking at the Fog Gate ahead, this time they’re facing the final boss.
As the captain, Kane went in first, followed closely by Kreya and the others.
Passing through the Fog Gate, they returned to the place they left.
Ahead was the intact relic at the center of the Dungeon.
The relic had been thoroughly investigated by Kane.
The whole relic had only one magic reaction, right in the gigantic building in the center.
This building was the only one Kane and his team had seen that’s perfectly preserved, without a single bit of damage, full of antiquity and grandeur.
From the Space Equipment, they took out the cube formed from the mechanical head they acquired earlier.
The mechanical cube seemed to sense something.
The sound of mechanical expansion rang out, transforming back into the original mechanical head.
"It’s been a long time, take me inside to see that piece of rusty iron."
Though they didn’t know what it referred to, it was likely pointing to the final boss inside.
After preparing, they moved forward with the mechanical head, stepping up the stairs level by level.
On the quaint square stairs, traces of erosion by wind and sand remained.
After climbing the stairs, a wide avenue led straight to the center of the massive building.
A giant doorless entrance.
The massive magical reaction inside seemed to sense Kane and his team’s arrival.
Huge sounds echoed like footsteps.
Kane and his team stood outside the door, fully prepared.
A giant shadow squeezed out from the door frame.
A mechanical giant, approximately 9 meters tall, revealed its form, its entire body reflecting a metallic sheen.
Yet, damage could still be seen in various parts, with red-glowing cracks even traversing half of the chest.
A mechanical and authoritative voice issued from its mouth.
"Traitor, scrap metal, you dare tread upon this sacred ground again."
The words weren’t directed at Kane and his team.
From the mechanical head cradled by Longbei came a reply.
"You piece of rust, I am right, this world is dead, only my method can ensure the continuation of the race. Now for the world, for continuation, fall."
"If I cannot save the world, then I shall perish with it!"
With that, the massive mechanical being charged at Kane and his team, a giant mechanical double-edged sword extending from its hand.
During their conversation, everyone had already downed the potion Meizike prepared.
Strength began surging from their bodies.
"Lion King"
With Kreya’s domain unfurling, the aura and battle cries bestowed various effects upon everyone.
The giant twin-blade sword struck down on Longbei’s shield, yet due to various protective shield distortions fortifying him, no harm was done, though the sheer force sent Longbei flying.
When it attempted to strike a second blow.
A white phantom had already passed through its body, chilling energy causing its internal efficiency to slow, two strands of Spider Silk wrapped around its arms, powerful enough to prevent another strike.
Kane now glowed entirely gold, a golden halo hovering behind his head.
Three sniper rifles aimed.
A subsequent metallic storm struck furiously at the mechanical giant’s arm joints, abundant golden energy erupted within its joints, melting the surrounding mechanics.
A lightning strike descended from the sky.
Directly hitting the mechanical giant.
Cotton Candy, having fought alongside Kane and the others, had long learned to seize moments to unleash its skills without Kane’s orders.
For beings like them comprised of mechanical structures, lightning posed deadly harm, forcing the mechanical giant to half kneel.
"Damn fleshy creatures, damn it!"
Damage and destruction in each part of its body made it roar furiously.
Several stars tracked a rainbow trajectory, smashing into its mouth, blasting paper streaks encapsulating its head entirely.
Exceptionally comical
White remnants pierced its body multiple times, wildly swinging its giant axe amidst its knee joints.
Having struck only one blow, Kane and his team’s coordinated assault rendered the mechanical giant unable to stand, its mechanical body frantically disintegrating under their attacks.
Death loomed near.
"I shall perish with the world."
The shattered red glow on the mechanical giant’s chest began spreading throughout its body.
"Still wish to afflict the world, damn plague."
The mechanical head spat a green stream of data energy, surging into the mechanical giant’s body.
Red and green forces surfaced along its body, clashing everywhere.
This seemingly strengthened the mechanical giant, yet made it more frenzied.
Dragging the giant double-edged sword, it continued attacking Kane and his team.
The energy burst within its body prevented Kreya from penetrating its body further.
The giant sword forced Longbei to retreat constantly.
These attacks couldn’t penetrate Longbei’s shield to deal damage, but the immense power stopped him from securing his footing.
Kane swiftly installed his new Skill [Arrest Order] into the Skill Grid, massive Spider Silk spurted from his hands and wrapped around the mechanical giant.
Blessing of Strength, enhancement potions, Divine Being Incarnation, various power-strengthening buffs bestowed upon him.
And the Magic Power Reserve sustained his energy consumption.
The control effect enhancement brought by [Arrest Order] rendered the mechanical giant completely immobile, frantically struggling yet unable to break Kane’s Spider Silk.
The Spider Silk still emitted a faint golden glow.
Further suppressing the red glow within its body greatly.
Under Kane’s control, it was now a sitting duck, a lamb awaiting slaughter.
Rainbow-colored energy beams pierced its body.
Blue palms embedded explosive syringes in its body, detonating across various parts.
Accompanied by Kreya and Longbei’s powerful strikes.
They now merely needed to keep dealing damage.
Pain and shadows of death hung over the mechanical giant, intense struggles availed nothing.
Helplessly trapped in place, awaiting the advent of demise.
Two slender strands of Spider Silk extended invariably to Kane’s hands.
It’s about time.
Time to welcome death.
Both hands forcefully tugged the Spider Silk backward.
Entangled Spider Silk around the mechanical giant exerted pressure toward the center, its shattered body unable to withstand such force.
Kane felt his hands ease.
The immense body crumbled into a heap of steel fragments.
The entire relic started vibrating.
Or rather, the entire Dungeon quaked.
Radiant columns in the sky began to sway, their glow no longer intense, no longer scorching.
The mechanical head gently floated toward the sky.
Countless strands of green data energy transformed into energy ribbons, soaring toward corners of the Dungeon.
The enormous vibrations gradually waned with this activity.
