Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons
Chapter 134 Cruise Conflict
CHAPTER 134: CHAPTER 134 CRUISE CONFLICT
Solopeng
Night.
Following the guidebook, Kane and his group bypassed the recreation room, passed through the commercial area, and headed to the restaurant marked on the map.
On the lower deck of the cruise ship, there was a very spacious dining area, which was the largest on the ship.
Kane and the others went inside.
Various noises of cheering, drinking contests, and loud singing came over. This restaurant was enormous, and most of the seats were already filled with explorers.
Most explorers didn’t have the habits of being noble, elegant, or polite.
Accustomed to living with death, singing loudly with wine and delicious food was their way of life.
They found a place to sit down.
Soon, a staff member came over to serve them.
Kane’s team was a peculiar presence among the explorers.
Whether it was Lilulu, Youyou, or Cotton Candy, these unique beings were also hard to find among explorers.
While waiting for the chef to serve the food, Lilulu, riding on Cotton Candy, started to wander around. There were too many explorers gathered here from various places, and for someone who had just left home, she was curious about all the unfamiliar races.
A little elf, even smaller than her, no bigger than a palm, flew over curiously.
Glittering with a faint emerald green glow, fluttering with two pairs of wings like those of a dragonfly.
"Hello, my name is Philis, are you a little fairy?"
It was the first time Lilulu had seen a race smaller than herself, and she excitedly approached.
"Yes, yes, I’m Lilulu, why are you so small?"
The warm-hearted Lilulu directly took her hand.
Seeing the little fairy in front of her seemed eager to make friends, Philis was also very happy: "I’m an elf, the smallest humanoid race."
Most scholars in this world believe that elves and little fairies are close relatives, both born from plants, although elves are not an indigenous race of the world.
Elves generally live with the elf race, and the two have deep interactions.
It’s said to be related to an unknown past story.
The elf population, although rare, is still much more numerous compared to little fairies.
Perhaps because of their pure hearts, the two little girls quickly became friends.
When the food was served, Lilulu flew off with a few fruits. She had just made a new friend and was enjoying their conversation.
"Be careful, don’t wander too far."
"Got it."
Watching Lilulu quickly flying away, Kane sighed, having a kid in the team was really worrisome.
Kane’s expression made Kreya unable to help but laugh.
"Don’t worry, Lilulu is not weak."
Kane, of course, knew this, but given her innocent heart, she was too easily deceived, and it was hard to believe that if danger really occurred, she would harm other explorers.
"Let’s hope so."
Just as Kane and the others were about to finish their meal, a commotion was heard not far away.
At the center of the commotion was a team of explorers wearing uniforms with golden stripes, their clothing style suggesting they were from the same exploration guild.
One human brute, his face slightly red, drunkenly grabbing at the air, was being restrained by his companions, who seemed to be warning him about something.
A piece of spider silk shot through the crowd and wrapped around his hand, pulling him to the ground.
Because what he was trying to grab in the air was Lilulu and her new friend.
Kane and his group quickly rushed over.
Longbei was the first to arrive and kicked the human brute on the head, then punched him again.
"You scum, what were you planning to do to my partner?"
The human brute’s teammates pulled out weapons and rushed over, seemingly ready to stand up for their friend.
Kane blocked their way, making a gesture as if grasping the air, and his three teammates were instantly immobilized by something unknown, struggling in vain.
"Hey, what are you doing, if you have the guts, let me down."
Three more strands of spider silk flew over and gagged them.
Ignoring them, Kane walked over to Lilulu’s side.
Kreya picked up Lilulu and held her in her arms.
Meizike checked her over to see if she had any injuries.
"Are you okay?"
Fluttering her wings, Lilulu flew out of Kreya’s arms, patting her chest with a proud look.
"Of course, Lilulu is fine. Those bad guys wanted to bully Philis, but I was protecting her."
Just then, a palm-sized elf flew over and bowed to Kane and the others: "Thank you all."
Suddenly, a few people emerged from the crowd, and a girl with antelope horns, wearing leather armor, held the little elf in her hands.
"Are you okay, Philis?"
The little elf shook her head and pointed to Lilulu beside her: "I’m fine, Lilulu and her team helped me."
After hearing the little elf’s response, the antelope horned girl deeply bowed to Kane and his group: "Thank you for helping my teammate."
One of her male elf teammates walked over to the human brute on the ground and kicked him without any decorum, cursing in elf language.
However, since Kane couldn’t understand elf language, he didn’t know how harsh the words were.
"These scumbags again, they’re such a nuisance," said another of Philis’s teammates, looking at the group on the floor, as if they knew them.
After thanking Kane and the others, the group left the restaurant with Philis.
As they left, they could still hear their team scolding the little elf.
"You disappeared in the blink of an eye. If no one had helped you today, you would have been in danger."
"Exactly, next time, don’t run off alone."
"If my mom finds out I didn’t take good care of you, she’d kill me."
"Okay, I won’t do it next time, don’t be angry."
Kane looked over at Lilulu, who was waving goodbye to the little elf.
"See that? You shouldn’t wander off next time either," he said, waving his hand to call his teammates away from the restaurant.
Hearing Kane’s scolding, Lilulu stuck out her tongue sheepishly.
Then she followed her teammates out of the restaurant.
As they left the restaurant, Kane hung the tied-up group upside down from the ceiling with spider silk.
Meizike even poured some unpleasant potion into their mouths.
In a corner of the restaurant, a group of people dressed in a wild and unrestrained manner watched the spectacle.
"Those Treasure Chest guys are such idiots, and yet they’re on par with our Fury, it’s infuriating."
"Indeed, the leader is famous for his excellent eye for identifying treasures, yet his team members show such poor judgment."
"Why do you say that?"
"A team with a little fairy, an intelligent machine, and that rare-looking cloud... Is this the kind of team to mess with?"
"And did you see what skill that human used just now? My Magic Perception sensed that it seemed to be something that could become invisible, plus that line, you all should avoid conflict with them in the future."
"So it seems the Treasure Chest really is unlucky."
"Just goes to show that the leader of Treasure Chest isn’t much of a manager; he might not even realize how unpopular his exploration guild is."
After Kane and the others left the restaurant, they walked back to their room.
"Kreya, do you know who those people were? They seemed to come from the same exploration guild based on their outfits."
Kane’s question made Kreya fall into deep thought, recalling the outfit of that group and the exploration guilds with similar attire.
"I don’t know much about that exploration guild, only that their leader is apparently famous for a treasure-hunting skill, amassed considerable wealth, and is a decent enchanter. But since he doesn’t manage his guild well, their reputation has gotten pretty bad. They often bully new explorers."
A Buddhist explorer who founded an exploration guild?
Chatting like this, the group walked back to their room.
