Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons
Chapter 423 - 397 Clearing the Level
CHAPTER 423: CHAPTER 397 CLEARING THE LEVEL
Under the sunlight, the ground became a sea of flowers, with the fragrance of various flowers wafting through the air and petals dancing in the breeze.
The entire area transformed into an ocean of blooms.
At the center of this floral sea stood a giant tree, covered with enormous flowers. Hanging from the branches were beehives of various sizes, the largest of which was several times bigger than the central trunk, heavily draped upon it.
Apart from the flowers, countless bees were diligently collecting nectar in this field. These bees were far from ordinary, many the size of fists.
Moreover, the beehives were not ugly, yellow masses but massive cake-like structures, even adorned with flower petals.
This is the base of the cake honey; in this area, they virtually have no natural enemies because their Empress is a formidable 7-star level, with strength reaching the silver bottleneck stage.
And Kane and his team were observing the situation from the very edge of the flower field.
Lilulu looked around at the flowers, indulging in their beauty, occasionally dispelling the bees attempting to swarm and attack her.
"The flowers are beautiful here; the bees are really annoying."
Kane opened his Eagle Eye, observing carefully.
A dense array of magic power reactions appeared within his field of vision; these reactions were silver and bronze, but not very large in size. The only large silver magic power reaction should be the queen, about human-sized.
"There are quite a lot of guards here, forget it, let’s make it quick. Be careful not to damage those beehives. We’ll go over and lure the bees into combat."
Kane said to his teammates.
Then Longbei stood at the forefront, directly transforming into a Gray Stone Giant, holding a shield and advancing with an Iron Wall Shield Defense.
Kane constructed a firepower platform at the rear; it was no longer just cannons, with numerous gun barrels, various rotary machine guns built upon it.
A red cross mark already labeled all the bees within his sight, marking every magic power reaction that appeared.
Kreya at the rear put on the Lion Pride Set, with multicolored auras spreading from underfoot, extending to Kane and every member, providing them with enhancements.
"Attack!" The command was shouted from Kria’s mouth, and Kane and his team felt their attack power and speed significantly boosted.
They appeared flamboyantly, stirring all the bees in this flower field. Swarms gathered into clusters, charging towards Kane and his team, filling the air with buzzing wings, making speech barely audible.
Many bees the size of Lilulu swarmed out of the beehives.
Kane was the first to strike.
A dense barrage of bullets formed a metal storm, sweeping towards the honey bees.
On Kane’s firepower platform, those rotary launchers began spinning wildly, gun barrels spewed blue flames, sending scorching bullets out.
Hot projectiles dragged blue magic trails, hitting the bees charging towards Kane and his team.
Each bullet accounted for a significant portion of these bees, directly shattering them apart.
Green body fluids and fragmented limbs scattered everywhere.
Larger bees were pierced directly, splitting into top and bottom halves, or left and right parts.
Though fast, these bees couldn’t outpace bullets; insect-like creatures lacking exoskeletons.
Every bullet could take down a bee, sometimes even hitting a couple at once.
With Kane’s assault, the honey bees began plummeting in large swathes.
The pungent stench permeated the space, emanating from the body fluids of fallen honey bees.
Below, the flower field’s vibrant petals were stained with dark green hues, smeared with bee fragments.
On the other side, Kreya led her squad of 10 Ghost Knights, their bodies igniting blue flames in Ghost Form, charging straight towards the beehives. Bees along the way trying to block were set aflame without inflicting any damage.
Finally, a cluster of bees with glowing wings appeared, shooting blue stingers from their tails at Kreya and her team.
These stingers carried magical damage, able to harm Kreya and her team but were completely deflected by the magic armor on Kreya.
Stingers hitting the Ghost Knights’ shields were also blocked, their swift speed bringing them face to face with the bees, cutting them in half with one thrusting sword, their flaming blue bodies consuming the falling corpses.
On the other side, Kane and his team had already advanced, littered with bee corpses when they regrouped.
From the largest beehive on the giant tree, a human-sized bee with a large physique flew out.
This was the queen of the entire bee swarm.
The remaining bees immediately abandoned their siege on Kane and gathered around the queen, buzzing around her.
The Empress opened her massive pincers from her head, letting out an angry and piercing roar at Kane and the others.
With the roar, all the bees condensed into two masses, like black tornadoes, rushing towards Kane and his companions. A faint magical glow covered the bees, likely a blessing from the queen.
The queen’s tail also glowed orange, and orange-yellow stingers began shooting towards Kane and the others, each stinger the size of an adult’s palm.
Kreya raised her Shield and charged directly in front of the queen. However, several huge bees still guarded the queen, attempting to attack, but they were blocked by guards beside Kreya.
Kreya swung her War Axe at the bees, but they agilely dodged, then frenzied limbs thrust at Kreya like Thrusting Swords, a cloud of pollen began to envelop them in the air.
A red lion phantom emerged from Kreya, surrounding her. Kreya’s red hair floated up, forming sharp spikes, joining her attacks.
These strands of hair blocked the limbs thrusting from the Empress, and Kreya quickly chopped off the obstructed limbs with her axe.
A piercing wail came from the queen’s mouth. The nearby bee guards wanted to return for support, but were picked off one by one by the Ghost Knights seizing the opportunity.
Hearing the call, the bee swarm also tried to return, but their numbers were too few, and they were shot down one by one by Kane’s bullet storm.
Despite the queen’s sharp cries of pain, Kreya was unaffected. The War Axe, wrapped in blue flame, started to change into black and white.
Kreya raised her War Axe, striking the queen’s fat body. The black and white flames spread from the wound across her entire body. The screams became more piercing but then quickly weakened until they vanished.
This process took less than two seconds.
The black and white flames burned the Empress to ashes.
With the queen’s death, the remaining bees were also picked off by Kane’s bullets one by one.
He walked over to Kreya, who had reverted from her Ghost Form to her physical body.
The blue flames on her also disappeared.
Kane had seen the black and white flames on Kreya’s weapon before, but at that time, they flickered intermittently. Now they could completely cover the weapon and even ignite enemies.
"What was that black and white flame just now?" Kane couldn’t help but ask.
Hearing Kane’s question, Kreya blinked: "Secret, I’ll tell you once I master it completely."
At this moment, Kane and the others felt an energy surge into their bodies, an energy they were all too familiar with— the signal of clearing the Dungeon.
"Finally, we’ve cleared this Dungeon. Now, let’s collect our loot," Kane said, heading towards the beehive under the tree.
The most valuable items from these bees were the honey in their hive; even the entire hive was made of honey. Their honey was called cake honey and could be made directly into desserts.
Absolutely the top-tier dessert.
The quickest to act were Kreya and Lilu, who rushed past Kane towards the hives and meticulously began collecting the honey as described in the guide.
Kane came over and couldn’t help but scoop up some with his hand, stuffing it into his mouth.
Delicious, not cloyingly sweet, but a sweet that is not at all greasy.
"I like this honey," Kane said.
"If you like it, then hurry up and help," Kreya rolled her eyes at Kane’s words and said.
Kane laughed, then began helping to recover the hives, digging out all the bee larvae inside and throwing them onto the ground. Even outside the hive, these larvae could still become bees since they were magical creatures.
It was a way to leave some seeds for the bee swarm here, so they wouldn’t go extinct.
Once all the loot was gathered, Kane couldn’t help stretching his back.
"Finally cleared this Dungeon; alright, let’s start our return journey."
He then began constructing the vehicle on the spot.
Longbei looked around and couldn’t help grumbling: "Why can’t they just throw us directly to the Dungeon entrance? We have to return on our own, it’s really inconvenient."
Hearing Longbei’s words, everyone could only shrug, since this was someone else’s private Dungeon.
It wouldn’t be like other Dungeons, where they kindly throw you out and even prohibit you from re-entering.
Here, they won’t throw you out, and you’re allowed to enter again, although you can’t harm the creatures here.
