CHAPTER 431: CHAPTER 403: ENTER

Morning.

A beam of golden sunlight, through the elegant flower-frame glass, shone onto the magnificent bed intricately carved from golden silk wood by the window.

The duvet woven from white magic silk covered a floating white, soft object on the bed.

Due to the sunlight streaming in from outside, the originally pitch-black room became bright and cool, forcing Kane to wake up from his sleep.

Looking at the white silk curtains that had been meticulously woven and pulled open, Kane quietly sighed.

Cotton Candy had again mischievously pulled open the curtains. Even though Kane clearly drew the curtains at night before sleeping, he would still be woken up by the sunlight in the morning.

Later, Kane realized this was all Cotton Candy’s doing. Every morning when the sun rose, he would secretly open the curtains because he really liked the morning sunlight shining on him.

If one day, Kane happened to sleep with his head in the opposite direction, then the morning sunlight would directly shine on his face.

Forcibly woken up, Kane had no choice but to get up, put on his slippers, and walk to the sink beside him.

Truly a rich family, the bathroom area was almost as big as half the room.

A giant bathtub was embedded in the floor. To be honest, this thing couldn’t even be called a bathtub; it could totally be called a small swimming pool.

Once he tidied up, he dressed and came into the small living room.

A breakfast had already been set on the table in the living room. The plates filled with delicious food seemed to be some simple magic item, subtly conveying warmth to keep the food warm.

How fancy.

Kane sat at the dining table, and the first thing he did was not eat but to study the plate, checking out its operating principle.

Although Kane could also make something with the same effect, what if its internal structure was different? Maybe this small thing could give him great inspiration.

Inexplicably, Kane had also caught some kind of occupational disease.

"Buddy, why aren’t you eating breakfast but staring at the plate instead?" Longbei also came out of his room.

Kane didn’t even lift his head, grabbing his breakfast with one hand while flipping the plate over with the other, answering, "Just researching; this plate is quite interesting."

"Is that so?" Longbei walked over too, picking up the breakfast from his plate with his hand, eating while also watching.

When Kreya pushed open the door and came in, she saw two grown men staring at a plate as if it were some treasure.

She helplessly rubbed her forehead.

Sometimes she didn’t quite understand how these men’s brains worked, as they could always do things she completely couldn’t comprehend.

That’s when Lilulu and Meizike also came out of their rooms.

"You’re here, Sister Kreya," Lilulu rubbed her sleepily eyes.

Soon after, the entire team sat in their respective places, starting to enjoy breakfast.

Kreya put a piece of pastry in her mouth, chewed for a moment, and said to everyone, "After breakfast, let’s get ready to go to the dungeon."

"In such a hurry?" Kane asked, rather puzzled.

After all, according to their habit, they usually rest for a day or two upon reaching a place, familiarizing themselves with the surroundings before exploring the dungeon.

To Kane’s question, Kreya explained, "Because the dungeon’s energy is running low and might soon vanish. If we wait a few days, we might miss it if we’re unlucky, so it would be a wasted trip."

"I see," Kane nodded after hearing Kreya’s words. If that’s the case, then indeed, there’s no room for delay.

After they quickly finished breakfast and tidied up, they followed Kreya to the manor’s entrance.

In a small gazebo in the garden, Fortuna was sitting inside quietly drinking tea.

Upon seeing Kane and the others come out, she got up and walked over.

"Mother."

"Are you preparing to explore the dungeon?"

"Yes."

Hearing her daughter’s reply, Fortuna looked carefully and said, "Then take care. By the time you finish exploring, your father might have returned as well."

Finally, she turned to Kane and the others, saying, "I’ll be entrusting my daughter to you."

"Don’t worry, ma’am."

Hearing Kane’s words, Fortuna responded, "Calling me ma’am sounds distant, doesn’t it?"

Kreya just wanted to stop her mother when she heard Kane say.

"Aunt."

Seeing her daughter’s expression, Fortuna said helplessly, "Alright, this works too. At least calling me ’aunt’ is more intimate than ’ma’am.’ Well, I wish you martial success."

After saying goodbye to Kreya’s mother, they arrived outside the manor’s gate, where an endless grassland met their eyes.

"Is it far to the dungeon’s entrance?" Kane asked.

Kreya took out a map from her space equipment and handed it to Kane, saying, "It’s quite far; it’ll take some time to get there."

Kane took the map, glanced at it, and then called Yoyo over: "Yoyo, scan the map into your device and then navigate for us."

"Okay, Master." Yoyo slid over, a blue ray emitted from its eyes, scanning up and down over the map in Kane’s hand, and soon completed the scan.

"Entry completed."

Only then did Kane hand the map back to Kreya.

Magic Power surged from his hand, constructing an RV in front of him. Compared to before, there had been some changes; the RV’s tires were higher and thicker.

The off-road and shock absorption systems were even better.

Everyone boarded the vehicle, and Yoyo, having acquired the location of the Dungeon, drove the RV galloping across the pastureland. The thrill of speeding in a straight line without obstructions was exhilarating.

Kane looked at the rapidly retreating scenery outside the window and asked Kreya, "Doesn’t your father’s territory have many residents?"

Kane had been looking outside for so long but had not seen many buildings.

"There are, but they’re on the other side of our flight direction, around the Teleportation Station. The grassland’s capital is not far from the estate," Kreya said.

She then pointed outside: "The reason why there are so few residents and buildings here is because the area beyond this is all grazing land, where only herders live. But a Dungeon appearing in this direction led to the emergence of sporadic buildings, and a small town has formed around the Dungeon."

Hearing Kreya’s explanation, Kane and the others nodded understandingly.

According to the map, the entire United Kingdom was divided into 12 regions, each belonging to a different elector, and each elector represented a different race’s power.

For instance, Kreya’s father’s territory was this grassland, the largest among all territories. Since resources were scarce, he was allotted considerably more land than others.

Moreover, Kreya’s father represented the quadruped species among the terrestrial half-bodied races, who also had significant needs for grassland forests, making this area just right.

The location of the Dungeon was indeed quite far; even though Kane and the others traveled in a straight line, it still took them nearly three hours to arrive.

Once the vehicle stopped, Kane and the others got out and saw the small town not far away.

The town wasn’t very large in terms of land area, but there were many large tents around the town resembling yurts.

Surrounding this area were dense flocks of horses, cattle, and sheep.

Although these animals bore some resemblance to Kreya and other half-bodied beings, they didn’t consider these creatures to be any kin.

Just as humans don’t regard monkeys as the same race as themselves.

Kane and the others walked towards that small town.

From a distance, they could see the Mist Council’s flag above the town, with many Explorers surrounding the town, most of them various half-bodied species, but there were also bipedal races.

After entering the town, besides Explorers, many shops could be seen tidying their goods, seemingly preparing to relocate.

Because the council had issued a notice that the Dungeon would soon dissipate, these merchants were making early preparations.

Most of these shops were inns, taverns, and Magic Equipment and Potion Shops, catering only to the needs of Explorers.

In such a remote area, with Explorers gone, to whom would these things be sold? Certainly not to these pastoral herders.

However, they hadn’t directly closed down; they were just packing and tidying things, waiting for the Dungeon to completely dissipate, hoping to hitch a ride with the Mist Council’s express.

Many Explorers could be seen having packed their luggage and were heading out of town.

Many of them hadn’t cleared the Dungeon yet.

But as the Dungeon was about to dissipate, unless one had absolute confidence in their abilities, no one dared to attempt clearing it now.

If one unfortunately joined the last batch when the Dungeon shattered, wouldn’t it be disastrous? They might not be able to handle the enhanced Dungeon monsters.

Not to mention the exaggerated number of monsters in this Dungeon.

"Should we find an inn first?" Longbei asked.

"No need," Kane shook his head. "This Dungeon only allows one exit opportunity, accessible anytime, but I still think we should quickly clear it."

Exiting would allow Kane to rest by constructing a cabin, and Kane’s Divine Martial Gaze was giving him some kind of premonition.

This premonition made Kane feel that they should clear this Dungeon quickly; although he didn’t know why, his intuition told him so, and with Divine Martial Gaze, Kane decided to trust his instincts.

Besides, this Dungeon wouldn’t pose much pressure on Kane and the others; after all, they were all experts in clear-out operations now.

Even with large numbers, if the quality couldn’t reach a certain level, to them, it was just a matter of mowing through.

Kane and the others came this time specifically for mining.

And with such numbers, it should yield a considerable amount of Magic Materials, further charging Kane’s Magic Stones.

Kane already had a premonition that this time he could engage in an extravagant lottery draw again.

When they reached the Mist’s entrance, the staff registered them and issued a warning.

"The Dungeon is about to dissipate. As silver Explorers, you should know that when a Dungeon is close to dissipating, it will give one last farewell, during which the monsters inside will be enhanced."

"Don’t worry, we are aware of the dangers."

Hearing Kane and the others’ words, the staff nodded.

Kane and the others then stood on the Teleportation Platform, disappearing into the blue beam.
