Spearheaded by Madam Rosary and Madam Lumia, the creation of the census was underway.

What I am most thankful for was that with the decrease of my workload, I was able to resume weapons development.

I had to stop partway through, after all.

「There is a school, there is a church, and a legitimate government office had been built. The Sanctuary is already a proper country.」

「Indeed. All that remains is the organizing the tax system.」

Madam Rosary and Madam Lumia were conversing as they walked down the path to the government building.

A queen and the wife of a prime minister casually walking down the street would likely only be possible in the Sanctuary. Nobles typically traveled by way of carriage even for short distances.

Well, that was likely for security reasons as well though.

Madam Rosary, Madam Lumia, as well as Madam Elizabeth and Miss Mimir, all of them normally take strolls in the Sanctuary. While it was rare for them to walk alone, it was common to see them take a stroll with a companion.

The biggest reason for this was because of how safe it was inside the Sanctuary, but another huge reason was that it was enjoyable to walk in a beautiful scenery.

「The wide and clean roads are magnificent as well.」

「Indeed. Even in the capital of Valkyra Kingdom, the roads are not as wide and clean as these. Isn’t it, Madam Elizabeth?」

「Indeed, Madam Rosary.」

The roads in the Central District of the Sanctuary was around 5-6 meters wide. In the first place, the volume of traffic here is extremely low in comparison to the cities in Valkyra Kingdom and Yggurle Kingdom , so wide roads weren’t even necessary.

「Is this a park? This open space is quite nice.」

「The concept of creating an intentional green space like this did not come to be even in Yggurle Kingdom.」

「What a pleasant place of relaxation and recharge for its citizens.」

Madam Lumia and the other women, who were walking beside the park, expressed their thoughts on it respectively.

In the park mentioned, there were playground equipment that probably didn’t exist anywhere else in this world. Well, I suppose that was a given since parks themselves didn’t exist either.

And speaking of the park, several kinds of cherry blossom trees were planted so people could have a flower-viewing in spring. More so, colorful flowers bloomed throughout the season, providing the residents a place of healing.

「The beautiful flowers are blooming, but how are they managed, Takumi-kun?」

「The plants in the Central Districts are managed by Dryas.」

「My word, Dryas-sama did?」

Madam Lumia asked me as I had been following behind the women.

「Dryas sometimes manages the trees and flowers personally, and there are also times when her familial spirits and even residents contribute too.」

「I see how it is. Even so, this is quite nice. The gardens in the estates of nobles are seemingly ostentatious, but it’s so wonderful that anyone can enjoy this.」

Both Madam Rosary and Madam Elizabeth nodded in agreement at Madam Lumia’s statement.

Oftentimes, noble residences had elaborately designed gardens cultivated.

It could be rose gardens, or meticulously trimmed hedge mazes.

But those were not locations that everyone could enjoy. Naturally so, as not just anyone can enter the residence of a noble, after all.

「Well, there is still plenty of open space in the Central District, so even the vacant lands were fields of flowers though.」

「But the residential areas also have parks, do they not?」

「Yes. There’s more playground equipment there though because there’s a lot of children.」

「Brilliant effort. If only my husband…… no. There isn’t much space in the capital.」

「Mayhaps our Royal Capital could do so. Should I suggest this to Forselty?」

Madam Rosary seemed to have considered suggesting it to Lord Simon, but quickly abandoned the idea when she remembered the scarcity of land in the capital. Madam Lumia was more proactive as Yggurle Kingdom’s capital had space.

When we arrived in front of the government building, I heard the voice of the Dwarf Doganbo-san.

「Ou! Takumi!」

「Good Morning, Doganbo-san.」

「The exterior sculptures are more or less done. There are a few areas left inside that we want to add sculptures to but it won’t take much longer.」

「Thank you. What about the furnishing?」

「Ou, the Elven craftsmen working hard on those and will be finished soon too.」

「Then please carry on.」

「Ou! Leave it to us!」

Doganbo-san enjoyed working as a brewer, a blacksmith, a carpenter, and a mason. Though he’s mainly a brewer.

Waving goodbye to Doganbo-san, I went into the government office with the Madams.

We entered the conference room, and promptly started the meeting.

「We will truly move forward once my husband has finished selecting the civil servants and everything in place.」

「I guess so. Until that time comes, we have to do what we can.」

As Madam Rosary and I conversed, Madam Lumia raised her hand.

「May I have a moment to speak?」

「Madam Lumia, what is it?」

「I have not seen any medical clinics since the establishment of the Sanctuary. Are there really none?」

「A medical clinic…… that should have been the first thing built.」

Madam Lumia had pointed out that we don’t have a clinic, or better known as a hospital.

Until now, Akane, Miss Mimir, the church’s priests, and I had been healing the illnesses and injuries of the Sanctuary residents, but a proper hospital was probably essential.

「Shouldn’t we take this opportunity to ask the residents what facilities they want?」

「Hmm, I wonder. Apart from the clinic, I believe we should have a good range of amenities including entertainment.」

「Can’t we think more about that once the civil servants are all here?」

Madam Elizabeth and Madam Rosary felt no need to rush the survey from the residents.

After that, Madam Rosary and Madam Lumia led the meeting to decide the priority of tasks that needed to be organized.
