The week passed by quickly. Jace only spent a single day ''tutoring'' Nina Diaz. Then the third day he was stuck in a single simulation. They made it impossible for him to escape. So he had to sit there and take the pain for twenty days inside of the simulation. Once that day was over he was given permission to forgo the rest of the training.

So he spent it training his body and working on helping with several of the designs he started on but were taken away when he arrived here. One of the days he went down to the marriage temple again with the director escorting him. He was able to jot down notes, draw pictures, and make observations about the Requiem Marriage Temple.

He was still having trouble figuring out the map orientation but he had an idea why that was so difficult. The map was made before even humans began inhabiting the system and that was well over a thousand years ago. There was a good chance that some of the systems or stars were no longer existing.

That or he was reading the map completely incorrectly. He needed to get his map on some authentic ancient maps in order to figure this out. Unfortunately, according to the director they were kept under lock and key in the imperial library. There was no way to discreetly retrieve an ancient human star map.

So while his research into the Requiem was stalled he refocused on something more modern. Mainly the weapon he was working on. His hover bike. As well as a new heads up display program that he had an idea for during his survival training. Since all he had was time during his torture traiing he had come up with several new theories and ideas he wanted to try out.

His hover bike seemed to be quite popular among the engineering staff. Once he was let into the lab they were working on the bike and similar designs he understood. Sear?h the n?velFire.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

The Victorium and Requiem had both used alternate designs for floating and levitating technology that were in the process of being reverse engineered by the engineers in charge of his hover bike. But now with his new design they were ecstatic as he entered the secured area. He was instantly swarmed with questions regarding his design and why the bike was operated the way it was.

He spent an entire day talking back and forth with these engineers altering designs they are coming up with. By the end of the day his hover bike was in the process of being finalized for design. Apparently they were going to manufacture them in this system for the time being. They had an entire station dedicated to manufacturing vehicles.

The hoverbike would become part of the equipment sent out as the basic package for the Emperor Loyalist military spacecraft. Which was something else he learned while checking out how his inventions were doing. Apparently the part of the military the Military Intelligence and Logistics Division or Mild for short were hoarding advanced technologies and the manufacturing developments.

He was not privy to all of the information just yet. But it was clear that the technology they were holding back was several generations ahead of anything the normal military had. It was a bit annoying, but it was also absolutely terrifying because he had heard from Taylor about the kind of technology her family was working on, it was nowhere near the level that Mild had going on.

The experimental weapons section was the second area he got permission to visit. They were a lot less fun, but to be fair they were making weapons to kill people. He doubted they could take that much joy or excitement in the prospect.

So when he started asking about his weapon designs they were initially confused until they figured out Jace''s designs were part of the gigantic backlog they had yet to get to. So when he introduced them to the idea of a localized disrupter that would send static electricity in a straight line from the barrel. The only thing Jace was struggling with was a power source that would allow an easier use.

They struggled back and forth with ways to power it from a better battery pack to a larger power source. But in the end the best suggestion became the idea to make a one use energy source that would burn out after use. Sort of like how a handheld armor penetrating launcher had a single use rocket. It was not as good as he hoped but it was good enough that he was hopeful that people would realize its use as an anti-mecha weapon.

Because the static electricity transmitted would be enough to scatter any normal Crusader mecha or anything of lower value. Fortunately it would not affect smaller, more compact equipment. So electric based weapons and most types of radio equipment would be safe. While their infantry armor would most certainly be safe because of the anti-emp layer all of the armors have.

The other weapon he came to check on was an electromagnetic railgun. A concept constantly explored and used throughout history. Even now there were planetary defense weapons that used a railcannons to keep larger space ship''s far away. There were also records of older ships using railcannons as the primary weapon.

But the theoretical design of a handheld railgun had never been successfully achieved. But Jace had come up with a design that would let him charge up the railgun given enough time using his electrical ability. This weapon never left the blueprint stage. Where his disruptor cannon had a mockup design the railgun was only ever a blueprint.

Mostly because he needed durable and precious metals in order to manufacture the railgun. The magnetic disks used to fire the projectile require some materials that are military based and are heavily controlled. So he just waited until he could easily request the materials from his superiors.

As they looked over his design they were first awed, then annoyed, then contemplative. Then they grouped up in a huddle and began talking in a hushed group. Jace of course listened in on their conversation. Apparently the electromagnetic disks could be switched out for another design that was far more power efficient but the design was classified. So they were worried about exposing such a new development to a temporary visitor.

Eventually they decided to hold off on manufacturing an experimental version until they got permission form their bosses to use the experimental electro magnetic disk designs they were talking about. But they would make the rest of the railgun to test out the design when they got permission. They decided to tell Jace that they would have to wait on the disks to finalize it.

After completing his adventure in the weapons area and somehow brightening up the day of the engineers and techs he was off to his next adventure. The programmers and technical specialists.

The area was stacked with desks and computers of varying types. There was a smell in the air that was revolting, it was the combination of bodily odors of unwashed people. He actually forgot about this, programmers habits in forgoing their own hygiene in favor of finishing a project. He would not deny he had done it before.

Spent weeks using the very minimal amount of technology he had at his disposal to create a program. All in order to do some not so legal things for the orphanage he was raised in. It was a good cause to get materials to repair the damaged orphanage, but using funds leached off of donations for a local officials election was not so good.

He came here to see how the work on his heads up display was on the pile of approvals. After asking the first person he ran into he pointed to a wall of shelves that seemed organized compared to what he thought they might have.

The wall of shelves was split between two areas. Finished products and unfinished products. The finished products section was smaller. He first moved to the side of the wall of shelves where there was a television. The television displayed the list of projects and the progress. The heads up display program was displayed as reviewed but not finalized. It was tagged for a classified program.

Which meant that it was not here. It was probably locked up somewhere else. But it did make him glad that it was going to be used at the very least. He had his own copy of the program that he would work on.

The heads up display had far more utility then the version that was currently in use. The version currently in use was mostly alerted when there was suit damage or if there was a communication coming in. Jace''s version would display where the damage on the armor was. It would be able to pick up radio frequencies in use. The program would also display target reticles on appropriate targets.

The target reticles were what he was really proud of since it was capable of acting as a replacement for iron sights for guns. With a little training the helmet could be used with even sniper rifles if necessary.
