CHAPTER 88: CHAPTER 83: MIDDLE EASTERN GENTLEMAN

Even though the young man spoke softly, maybe even gently, everyone knew he was a demon disguised as an angel—a demon. Inviting someone? Would inviting someone require such violent means? Is inviting someone possible by robbing a bank?

However, when the young man appeared, Xiao Lin already knew his background and felt quite surprised. He didn’t expect such a person to enter Huaxia, and even come to Yanjing. But what has he come to Yanjing for?

Though Xiao Lin vaguely sensed that the young man might have come for him, he thought it impossible. Even if he sought revenge for his brother, there was no need to be in such danger. Does he really think Huaxia is so easy to bully, coming and going as he pleases?

The leader holding the Desert Eagle saw the young man appear and, almost instantly as he finished speaking, four masked men in the hall kneeled, chanting in an unintelligible language. The young man smiled slightly, nodded, and then spoke in Chinese to the man, "You must protect these protective talismans well. These people are your protective talismans!"

"Yes!" The unruly man replied, surprisingly with no hint of displeasure in his tone.

"Alright, gentlemen and ladies, don’t worry. At most, ten minutes—it will only take us ten minutes to depart. Please cooperate. While I am merciful, it is only to those who listen to me!" The young man still smiled, but his words were filled with threat.

At this time, the sound of police sirens came from a distance, presumably from Yanjing Police Station having received a report about the major case here. The sirens seemed to come from all directions rather than a single one.

Hearing the sirens, the robbers appeared unsurprised. The young man smiled slightly and disdainfully said, "It seems Huaxia’s police are quicker than those in America and Europe, but still in vain. The things I, the Gentleman, want to do, even the Federation can’t prevent it!" Strong and confident, this was the Gentleman known throughout Europe and America. Then he calmly addressed the hostages, "Ladies and gentlemen, see you later!"

Xiao Lin remained silent, surprised by what the young man claiming to be a Gentleman really was. This demon once triggered a massive siege by over a hundred elite from the Federation, yet escaped calmly, causing significant casualties among Federation agents in the process. The Gentleman’s name grew louder since then, and both the Federation and European Union classified him and his Middle Eastern Republican Organization as terrorist groups.

As Wu Shuang arrived at the second-floor hall, there were only about ten people waiting at the VIP window, but Xiao Lin was nowhere to be seen, leaving Wu Shuang puzzled. Where could Xiao Lin possibly go in a bank?

While surveying the area, Wu Shuang suddenly noticed the atmosphere felt odd. Four tall young men, each over 1.9 meters tall, walked from the corridor. They looked around twenty-seven or eight and had sharp eyes hinting at a murderous aura.

Despite being a top graduate of Huaxia Public Security University, Wu Shuang was skilled in reading people. Nevertheless, two of the young men merely glanced at the hall before proceeding down the corridor into an office.

Seeing the two enter an office, Wu Shuang didn’t pay much mind. Not believing she couldn’t find Xiao Lin, she briefly glanced around the second floor before heading to the third.

The third floor comprised purely office spaces, not a hall, and was not open to the public. Upon arriving, Wu Shuang was approached for her purpose.

"Miss, the third floor is a bank’s office area, not open to the public. Please return!" A young man in a security guard uniform stopped Wu Shuang. He looked about twenty-three years old and around 1.8 meters tall, clearly having a righteous appearance that suggested military service.

"I’m looking for someone. Here’s my ID!" Wu Shuang retrieved her Special Police Unit ID from her bag, though feeling this was improper. Still, she resorted to using authority to find Xiao Lin for the first time.

Upon seeing Wu Shuang’s Special Police ID, the security guard looked at her enviously. Being an ordinary farmer’s son with no money or background, he aspired to join the police upon leaving the military. But he couldn’t even become a regular patrol officer, let alone special police. Fortunately, he was recruited as a bank security guard due to his skills.

The young security guard found himself in a dilemma, being unable to let her through nor prevent her. "So, whom are you looking for? Maybe I can help you find them!"

Wu Shuang glanced at him, a smile implying indifference covered her lips. With Xiao Lin’s dominance displayed the other day, she wondered why he’d need a security guard’s approval here. Nevertheless, she replied, "His name is Xiao Lin. He probably knows your bank staff!"

"Alright, wait a moment, I’ll notify our director!" The security guard hadn’t heard of the name, but given the Special Police context, he had to report it.

"Isn’t this Chief Wu? What brings you here?" A playful voice sounded behind Wu Shuang, surprising her. Turning around, she suddenly smiled, "When did you come to work here, Fiery Woman? Weren’t you at the head office?"

The security guard recognized the woman, who had arrived with the head office president earlier today for a meeting. Seeing her acquainted with the Special Police member, he discreetly stood aside without questioning Wu Shuang further.

"I’m not some Fiery Woman, just someone who runs errands. Since the head office president came today, I came to help out!" The woman Wu Shuang called Fiery Woman grinned. They were high school classmates and had a good relationship. But after high school, one went to Public Security University, and the other studied finance. Wu Shuang, with intense self-discipline and training during university, rarely contacted her high school friends. After graduation, she reluctantly joined her family’s Traffic Police Division, fearing teasing from old classmates.

"People eager to run errands with the president don’t qualify. So enjoy it!" Wu Shuang teased.

While speaking, the sound of people climbing the stairs came from the second floor. The four young men previously seen on the second floor now walked up indifferently.

Wu Shuang glanced at them, immediately sensing something amiss. She quickly pulled her ’Fiery Woman’ friend aside. Meanwhile, the security guard, seeing four strangers intrude, dutifully attempted to stop them, saying, "Hey, you guys..." But before he finished speaking, the leading young man suddenly attacked him!
