Chapter 81: Darkseid War V

    [3rd POV] [Two days later]

    After Gwen had gotten the rewards from the quest, Gwen had met the rest of the League. Most of the members were in the headquarters due to the invasion, as Ra''s had already been preparing to fight back. His vision of the "Light" had changed after some time, mosty due to the way they were completely and utterly defeated by Gwen. Now he saw the world as more in the "Greys". A good thing for Gwen, as otherwise the talks would have taken much longer.

    Of course, her simply defeating him wasn''t enough, so she had to meet with the man alone, and show him what she had to offer. The super soldier serums, aura, and other technologies. In return for their absolute loyalty. She''d also change some rules around, but that was for after the invasion was dealt with.

    After dealing with that, she had the entire League sign the contracts she had written up beforehand. All those who signed would be loyal to her. And it turns out that the offer of massively increased technological standards, superior abilities, and teachings, tended to go a long way for the League. After they signed the contracts, Gwen put Ra''s and Lex into contact, wanting them to work together for the next part that was going to begin sooner or later.

    Gwen had also consumed her tickets, deciding to not wait on using them. As she needed to be as strong as possible for the battle with Darkseid, and any and all characters would help with that. Especially when considering that she had no idea how strong the Darkseid of Young Justice actually was. For all she knew, he could be drastically stronger than she was expecting. So, she used the tickets and got some pretty good rewards from it.

    [NL Characters - Gun Devil (Chainsaw Man), Jegal Taek (God of Highschool), James Heller (Prototype), Yuuto Kiba (DxD), Hive (MCU)]

    Kiba had two sacred gears. Blade Blacksmith, which allowed him to create holy swords, and Sword Birth which could create demonic swords. Gun Devil was powerful for obvious reasons. James Heller was basically the same as Alex Mercer, but would simply improve her powers from him, making her evolution and constant adaption stronger. Hive was...kind of useless to her. But Jegal Taek was pretty good, as he had some new martial arts, Greed which was basically just another form of power absorption, and some other neat abilities. Not to mention his relation to the "King" aka the Jade Emperor.

    The new powers were pretty decent, but were really not what she was hoping for. It was mainly Kiba and Heller that was good to her. As Kiba had a shit ton of variety, and Heller was simply good because of his adapationary and evolutionary powers.

    Besides the new powers, Gwen had also begun to look into the exact numbers around the world. And found that it was at the moment, around 105,000 parademons or so. Not to mention the elites, who, from what she could tell, included Steppenwolf, Kalibak, DeSaad, Granny Goodness and a couple of others of note.

    Gwen had also set up a...backup plan of sorts. One that involved a VERY powerful weapon, one that she had...borrowed, after she went off world for a short while, courtesy of a shit ton of teleportation.

    At the moment she was in the mountain, new gear on the team, created with the strongest materials she could whip up, as they were all preparing to leave, planning on meeting with the League for the first time since Gwen showed up a couple of days ago.

    "You guys ready to go?" Gwen asked, causing the team to nod.

    "Thanks for the suits by the way. The others were good, but these are more...protective" Wally said, causing Gwen to chuckle. It was true, the previous suits were mostly made to compliment their powers. While the current ones were more for defense and improving their stamina, as that was what they needed at the moment, more than anything else.

    "How did you fix the communications? We''ve been attempting to fix that for nearly a week now and couldn''t get far" Barry, aka the Flash asked.

    "Hmm? Oh that. I simply created a satellite that was strong enough to replace all the

    satellites that were destroyed. It wasn''t too difficult" Gwen replied with a shrug, as the

    League looked at her and audibly they sighed.

    Looking over the League, Gwen plopped down into a seat, as the rest of the team followed suit, as it was time to talk about what''s important.

    Looking over the League, Gwen asked the question on all their minds. And while she still had a bit more to get done for the full plan to be finished, she knew this was something she needed to ask, all so she knew her deadline. The only question was:

    "When do we strike?"

    Next chapter is going have the first of the battles, albeit a rather short and underwhelming

    one (which is to be expected with how powerful Gwen is compared to some of Darkseid''s elite). Sorry about the lack of action, but planning is VERY important when dealing with someone like Darkseid. Especially when there is literally over 100,000 parademons, all of which are massively stronger than any normal human, and even a lot of the League members. Not to mention their ships and other weapons.
