CHAPTER 58: CH 58

Tom really don’t know what was happening with him, he couldn’t believe it but was forced to accept the reality that he was a having a bad time in the dungeon.

No, saying that he is having just some bad time will be an understatement to the truth, what he was currently experiencing can not be said as bad time, the past few days of his are some very very and very even more very bad days, and probably the worst days of his life.

Currently, on the third floor of dungeon, a man was sitting under a green tree in an empty grass field near a river bank.

He was fully naked with his whole body on display, while his eyes were red and swollen as if he has cried a lot recently and his dry lips parted open and he was looked at the green grass below with his dead emotionless eyes.

His body was fully curled up just like a baby and his facial expressions were that of a dead man.

From time to time, very soft and almost inaudible weeping voice were heard in the garden like floor whose source was of course the only living being present in the area.

Tom was currently trying to forgot whatever he has experienced during his small little time in the dungeon.

There were many bad experiences he had during these past few days however many of them were something he could move on after experiencing them but there were exceptions to this as one or two of these ’accident’ were beyond his mental and physical ability to take.

His body suddenly shutter as various images of his worst experience or probably the worst experience any man could have, crossed tom’s mind as ’some of his wounds opened up... or maybe tightened’.

It all started when he woke up happily in the morning on his second day on the second floor.

He was fully refreshed after having a good night sleep and was really looking forward to kill more of the new wolves he was up against.

They are the monsters which are unique to this floor, they are the wolves with fire attribute attached to thier body making them resistance to explosion type attacks and making enchanting their attack power to a whole new level.

Because they are strong, he really enjoyed hunting them and test his power yesterday and was thinking of killing more of them again today too and collect the loot just like he did on his first day on this floor but what he don’t know was that his plans was destined to be ruined from the start.

But even the day which is definitely the start of the worse days of his whole life till now had a good start, atleast for a small amount of time.

How you may ask? Well, after he made his plans for the day, he get ready and pick up his sword which was as new as they were on his first day in the dungeon and started moving in random directions.

He move in the direction he desired with no specific target and also hunt the wolves he encountered on the floor, tom killed them and take some of their meat and stored them before he started moving around again.

While moving aimlessly around the floor which feel and looked like that of the interior of a volcano because of all the magma and heat they generated, he found a random cave and as he entered inside, he found something which might be the most difficult and sought after thing to be found on this floor full of lava and rocks of magma.

What he found was a source of Water as a small pond. He was very shocked by his discovery as he never expected to find water at a place where is only hot lava and magma as far as eye could see and was really looking forward to all the uses of this water and was even thinking of cooking the meat he has collected just few minutes ago.

He was even more happy because the water he found was not in small amount too but definitely a sizeable amount. It was not a supply which can be considered endless but it was enough to sustain him for a week including all the usage from bathing, drinking to even cooking.

Not only was the water in a good quantity but the quality of given water was also great as tom was able to see his own reflection in the blue water which just like a mirror when he looked at it.

After calming down a little and taking a deep breath, tom started removing his clothes as he made his mind on taking a bath and put them a little far away from the water near the entrance of the cave so that they don’t get wet as he only have one set of them.

He however kept his sword near him in case of any emergency as as he started taking a bath using the water.

He was really happy because tom has a habit of taking bath every day and that too, early in the morning but tom’s this schedule was broken when he entered the dungeon and he never thought that he will get a chance like this, especially on the floor like this.

It was even more better for him that he found a good source of water just after a small amount of time after he woke up, that is in the morning just like he prefers it to be.

While tom was enjoying his time in the bath, the quantity or the amount of the water in the little pond suddenly started decreasing, he don’t notice it at first but soon realised this when the water was decreased by almost half the amount of what it previously was.

’What is happening?’ Tom questioned himself as he wondered where all the water was going. He immediately pick up his sword as he take a weird stance which he thought is what known as fighting stance and started looking around as to try and found the reason for the water’s sudden disappearance and he found it soon enough.

lt was because the water in here was currently being evaporated because of all the heat generated when three fire wolves, who were all around the floor had also founded the cave while they were wondering around the floor aimlessly as they enter from the same entrance and after seeing a walking food in the pool, they happily entered the water generating vapour all around.

Tom was suprised at first when he saw them so near him and couldn’t believe how could they sneak so near him without making him realise even a little but since they were so near him, it didn’t gave him much time to think about these issues and this is what he did.

When the first one had already entered the pool, the second one of the three wolves also decided to a attack him as it take a big leap from the edge and using the body of his comrade number one which was in water, it also attacked tom.

Tom also doesn’t waste anymore as he stopped mulling over useless things which were in his mind and when he saw the wolf coming towards him, he immediately pick up his sword which was just beside him feeling glad about his decision to keep it near him and soon finished the job.

After killing all three wolves, tom left the pool in a very foul mood. The fire on those wolves body cause all the water to become vapour and now, it was just a pool without any water and each drop of it was now mixed with air.

Oh! but it couldn’t be said empty as now there is blood in it, some of his but mainly of those wolves.

After that, Tom quickly left the cave with disappointment because of the smell of the blood which could attract other same kind of monster and he doesn’t want to be trapped in such a narrow space.

When he left the previously water rich area and reached outside, tom discovered that his clothes were now fully burned and he suspected it was done by those wolves.

He curses himself for leaving them so near the entrance from where those wolves can easily enter and all that fire on thier body will destroy them even if they themselves doesn’t look at it and now, these clothes of his look nothing except some small handkerchief which were burned holes.

But tom just signed after all of this as this is all he could do. After that, he begin thinking on what to do next and came with a plan to cover his ’private part’ (which is of almost no use in the novel) with grass. However, what he forget was that the place where he currently is, a place as good as a volcano with almost zero chance to find vegetation.
