Chapter 121: One hundred twenty, I am a doctor Chapter 121: One hundred twenty, I am a doctor The two soldiers exchanged glances.

“Sorry! No comment,” one of them said.

“Alright then,” Luo Qianyu smiled indifferently and turned to sit back in the car. His main purpose for coming to Cloud City this time was to see Luo Shu. As for the other matters, they didn’t concern him too much.

Not long after Luo Qianyu’s car drove away, a jeep approached from a distance.

It came to a steady stop in front of the soldiers, and Lu Hanmo poked his head out, “Any suspicious individuals?”

“No, sir!” one of the soldiers saluted and replied.

“Instructor, a young man just now said he was your friend,” said the other soldier.

Lu Hanmo frowned slightly, “What did he look like?”

The soldier immediately described Luo Qianyu’s appearance.

Upon hearing the description, Lu Hanmo quickly guessed Luo Qianyu’s identity. Why had he come?

After giving a few instructions to the soldiers, Lu Hanmo drove towards Fangting Town. There were reports of poisoning cases in the town.

Once Luo Shu returned home, she immediately took out medical equipment to analyze the blood sample she had collected from Aunt Chen.

After a precise examination, it was found that Aunt Chen’s blood contained a type of acidic substance. However, Luo Shu couldn’t yet determine its composition. One thing was certain though; her Spiritual Spring could neutralize the poison.

As soon as Luo Qianyu arrived at the town, he noticed something strange; the usually bustling Fangting Town was now eerily quiet, almost like a ghost town.

However, when he passed by Jimin Pharmacy, he found several long lines. Scanning the last few residents in the line, he saw their faces and the backs of their hands were swollen and rotten.

An epidemic? That was Luo Qianyu’s first thought. No wonder he had seen guard members and security officers all over the place on his drive over.

He stepped forward and lightly tapped on the shoulder of a young man at the end of the queue.

The young man jumped, startled, and turned to glare at Luo Qianyu, “What do you want?” He was already in a foul mood from illness, and being startled by someone he didn’t know only made him feel worse.

Luo Qianyu smiled indifferently, “I am a doctor, and I’d like to check on you to see what’s wrong.”

“Are you really a doctor?” The young man eyed Luo Qianyu with suspicion, clearly not believing him.

Luo Qianyu smiled faintly and turned to the middle-aged uncle beside the young man, “Uncle, would you like me to have a look at you?”

The middle-aged uncle hesitated briefly before nodding and stepping out of the queue, “Doctor, how will you check?” His only hope was to be cured of his illness.

“Give me your hand, and I’ll take your pulse,” Luo Qianyu said.

The middle-aged uncle wiped his hand on his clothes, embarrassed, before slowly extending it. The doctor looked so clean; wouldn’t he mind the dirt on his hands?

Luo Qianyu curled his lips into a smile and reached out to take the middle-aged uncle’s pulse. His fingers were long and well-defined, subtly elegant, definitely a pair suited for playing the piano.

Those around them noticed the activity and began to look over.

“Who is that young man?”

“I heard he said he’s a doctor.”

“So is he treating Old Man Wang right now? Can he do it, being so young?”

“How should I know? Let’s wait and see.”

Luo Qianyu’s brows knitted slightly as she withdrew her hand. Was it poison?

“Doctor, how am I? Can it be treated?” The middle-aged man’s expression was tinged with urgency. He had just seen the doctor frown—could it be that his illness was incurable? Could this really be the plague?

“It can be treated, but I need someone to help,” Luo Qianyu said. She had been thinking about finding an excuse to see Luo Shu, and now she had a reason to look for her.

“Can it really be treated?” The crowd looked at Luo Qianyu with skepticism. Plagues had been historically incurable, and because they knew that, they were even more fearful.

“If I say it can be treated, it can be treated!” Luo Qianyu stated confidently. If even their Divine Doctor Family couldn’t cure it, then indeed there would be no cure.

“Doctor, how much will it cost for you to treat us?” This was what everyone was most concerned about. Who wouldn’t want to stay alive? But what if the other party was just a charlatan looking to make a quick buck? Wouldn’t they end up losing everything?

“Not a penny,” Luo Qianyu declared. Their Divine Doctor Family was never short of money. If they really needed money, wouldn’t they get much more by treating those with power and status?

“Doctor, who do you need to help?” someone asked.

“I heard there’s a Little Divine Doctor here, does anyone know her?” Luo Qianyu asked with a light smile, looking at the crowd.

“I know! Her home is in Black Clothes Alley, not far from my house,” a middle-aged woman said. Perhaps out of long-standing habit, they always thought of Jimin Pharmacy first whenever they fell ill.

“Sister, can you take me to her?” Luo Qianyu asked the middle-aged woman with a smile.

“Of course!” The woman walked over to Luo Qianyu’s side. “Shall I take you there now?” She too wanted to get better quickly.

Luo Shu diluted the Spiritual Spring, mixed it with medicine powder, and formed small pills which she placed into porcelain bottles. She planned to first visit Aunt Chen’s house, then bring these Detoxification Pills to Jimin Pharmacy for Shopkeeper Liu to distribute to the poisoned villagers.

She also had to detoxify the ancient well at the entrance of the alley, the source of the poisoning. She had just remembered her grandfather mentioning this poisoning incident, which had killed many people.

And it seemed to be related to the MD country. If that was true, she believed Lu Hanmo would come to find her soon. Perhaps she could use this incident to foster a good relationship with the authorities.

After packing several bottles of pills into her bag, Luo Shu was about to leave when she heard a commotion outside the courtyard, as though a crowd of people was approaching.

As she wondered what was going on, the courtyard door was knocked.

“Is the Little Divine Doctor in?” A woman’s voice came from outside.

Fu Yi glanced at Luo Shu, and upon seeing her nod, he went to open the door.

He saw about twenty or thirty people standing outside, all residents of the town.

The middle-aged woman who led them stepped inside and, without waiting for Luo Shu to speak, knelt before her with a “thump,” “Little Divine Doctor, please save us.” As long as Luo Shu was willing to help the young doctor, they would be saved.
