CHAPTER 128: THE POWER TO CHANGE HISTORY

Ainsworth had already requested the Earth Will to draft the Awakener’s Contract. He tossed the Awakener’s Contract to Lucien, who caught it and read the clauses.

After Lucien finished reading it, he pondered, ’The contract is quite fair. I only have to keep the secret regarding the enslavement of Xalvureth, Varnak, and the Ancient Space Dragon, as well as Ainsworth’s abilities used regarding that.’

’Aside from that, the contract will be valid until I become an X-rank Awakener or Ainsworth chooses to terminate it himself.’

’Failure to comply won’t cause death, but the Earth Will would take all of my Awakener-related items and use them to compensate Ainsworth. Even my right to take on Otherworld Missions as well as Awakener privileges will be terminated.’

Lucien continued reading the contract and didn’t find anything wrong with the clauses, so he signed his name on the Awakener’s Contract.

After Ainsworth received the contract from Lucien, he signed it with his name as well.

When the contract was signed by both parties, Lucien and Ainsworth both felt it took effect.

Ainsworth would know if Lucien ever broke the contract, while Lucien felt the restrictions imposed by the contract. With Lucien’s power, he could break the restrictions, but then it would offend the Earth Will and cause the contract to be terminated.

Ignoring Lucien, who had already been restricted by the Awakener’s Contract from spreading his secret, Ainsworth used his size manipulation superpower to shrink the SSS-rank Ancient Space Dragon.

Afterwards, Ainsworth stored the SSS-rank Ancient Space Dragon in his hair, like what he did with the SS-rank Monster Lords.

He didn’t even hide his actions from Lucien, as Lucien was already privy to his enslavement of monsters and demons.

After dealing with the Ancient Space Dragon, Ainsworth shifted his attention to Xalvureth and Varnak.

Formulating a plan for a second, Ainsworth immediately knew what to do with them as he declared, "Oh, what a tragedy! A great battle has occurred! At the sacrifice of the Ancient Space Dragon, Demon King of Decay Xalvureth, and Demon King of Hellfire Varnak managed to flee the battle with heavy injuries."

"Those who stood victorious are none other than the Archmagister Supreme Lucien Arkvale and the young valiant hero Ainsworth Arthurford, who rescued Lucien and turned the tides of the battle!"

After Ainsworth forcefully recorded what had truly happened, reality seemed to change as Xalvureth and Varnak, who immediately flew backwards, suffered from heavy injuries!

With their demonic blood splashing, their figures disappeared, seemingly having already fled to the Demon World.

Moreover, the surroundings had changed as the icy snow field was riddled with huge craters and holes. Demonic mana, mana, and aura appeared out of nowhere and lingered in the surroundings.

If someone were to see this, they would have assumed that a great battle had occurred between Awakeners, demons, and monsters.

And that was truly the case. Even if someone used abilities to check the history of the Monster World or the past events, they’ll only see the thrilling battle of Lucien and Ainsworth versus Xalvureth, Varnak, and the Ancient Space Dragon.

Under Ainsworth’s declaration, reality has been manipulated, and the records of this battle have been fabricated.

Aside from those who participated in the battle, no one would know what truly happened here, as they’d assume that what Ainsworth had declared was truly what had occurred. Even the World Will of the Monster World believed that to be the case.

When Lucien witnessed Ainsworth playing with reality and history as if it were nothing but clay, fear crept up in his mind as he resolutely decided, ’No matter what, I must not offend such a monster!’

’Who knew if I became his enemy, no one would even know who was right or wrong, just that he is always right because he said so. Such an ability is truly terrifying.’

Taking a glance at Lucien, Ainsworth saw through what he was thinking, but he ignored it as Lucien had already signed the Awakener’s Contract with him.

Although Ainsworth truly didn’t care about his "secret" of possessing a mind control-related virus being discovered, as he didn’t even consider it a secret. However, he knew that some, if not most, Awakeners wouldn’t be at ease with him possessing such mind-breaking power.

So, just in case, he threatened Lucien to keep it a secret. But if it were ever discovered, he wouldn’t mind, as he was already powerful enough to ignore what others think of him.

If they dared court death and use such matter to antagonize him, then he’d just show why SSS-rank Awakeners could destroy the moon and planet in the Otherworld.

Observing the battlefield, Ainsworth’s perception range had already covered the entire Monster World. Among all Awakeners, his perception range was likely the greatest due to it being a hundred times greater than that of a peak Five-Star Awakener in his current state.

Because of that, Ainsworth discovered that the Monster World was much bigger than Earth. It was ten times bigger than the Earth and even had a trillion monsters living in it.

Of course, most of those monsters are those weak ones that were either F-rank or E-rank monsters. But still, the sheer number of them was greater than humanity’s population, and with their fast reproduction rate, it was no wonder they could keep sending Dimensional Gates to invade Earth.

’Speaking of which, if I had known I’d be forced to use my trump cards to increase my power to SSS-rank Awakener, I wouldn’t have been sneaky in sending those monster viruses in this world.’

Sighing helplessly in hindsight, Ainsworth left Lucien as he disappeared into thin air, transforming into monster viruses.

While in monster virus form, Ainsworth immediately spread his monster viruses throughout the entire Monster World. He kept multiplying, and he left the monster viruses deeply rooted within the Monster Virus.

Of course, his actions in doing so weren’t too wanton as he didn’t want to alert the Monster World’s World Will, but it was enough to leave a hidden danger within this world. It was already to the point that it could never be removed, no matter what, and the only way to free this world was to destroy and recreate it.

After leaving his monster virus in the Monster World, Ainsworth smirked, ’When those monsters return, they wouldn’t know that their homes had already been contaminated. Serves them right for invading Earth!’
