CHAPTER 147: THE EDENBRIDGE HIGH’S PRINCIPAL MAGNUS IRONHART’S RETURN!

Eventually, Elyndra and her teammates agreed to assist the school staff.

No matter what, Elyndra, Mira, and Nyx already have the stats of an S-rank Awakener. On the other hand, Aria and Isolde had the stats of an A-rank Awakener.

Even their school teachers had the same stats, and yet their courage wasn’t lacking. Moreover, with their powerful SSS-rank Classes, it was not impossible for them to contend with beings a major rank above them, so they weren’t completely helpless.

While Mira was still sleeping, Isolde asked for confirmation, "So, all of us agree to help with assisting the school staff?"

In response to Isolde’s question, Aria and Nyx nodded, with the latter replying, "As Awakeners, it’s our obligation to protect the weak. While we can be ruthless against Otherworlders, such a lack of a bottom line is only applicable to them, but shouldn’t be applied to our fellow humans."

"Our senior awakeners have protected us while we were weak. So it’s only natural for us to do the same to those weaker than us now that we have obtained the power to do so. And besides, this will be a good experience for us as we’ll be able to familiarize ourselves if such emergencies occur again."

Since Mira didn’t refuse, Elyndra and Isolde took it as her agreeing with them.

And as they had indeed assumed, Mira wasn’t against it as she even created Servants of Sloth and ordered in her dreamlike voice, "Find all the citizens in Edenbridge City who haven’t evacuated yet and bring them to the evacuation center at Edenbridge High."

Receiving her command, all one hundred thousand Servants of Sloth wearing maid and butler outfits bowed to their young miss before disappearing, heeding her command.

When those one hundred thousand servants appeared, then disappeared, even Mira’s teammates were stunned as Aria couldn’t help but ask, "Just how much energy and Sloth did you conserve and save up?"

"If I’m not mistaken, you mentioned before that each of those servants has the same base stat as yours. Wouldn’t that be equal to creating and commanding a hundred thousand S-rank Awakeners?"

It’s no wonder Aria and the rest were shocked. After all, even their school staff wouldn’t have such an exaggerated amount of Awakeners.

Moreover, due to the unique attributes of those Servants of Sloth, which could do almost anything just to heed their master’s command, they were no worse than Awakeners with S-rank or even SS-rank classes.

Noticing that Mira didn’t respond and was likely dozing off again, Aria didn’t mind, as she was already used to it, considering that Mira was indeed conserving energy. In times like this, her energy conservation had indeed paid off as she dared not imagine the energy it would take just to create servants as powerful as S-rank Awakeners.

With Mira already taking action, Elyndra and the others had no plans of remaining idle, so they were about to leave Edenbridge High’s Otherworld Mission Center.

But before they could, they noticed someone suddenly appear in the Otherworld Mission Center, emanating a powerful pressure of sheer aura.

The tall figure who suddenly appeared was a middle-aged man who had a muscular body and bronze-like wheat-colored skin. He was wearing a martial arts-style attire with his unkempt black hair glistening under the sunlight.

When Elyndra, Mira, Nyx, Aria, and Isolde saw his appearance, they already recognized him, with Aria even exclaiming, "Principal!"

The tall, muscular middle-aged man was indeed none other than the Principal of Edenbridge High.

Hearing Aria’s exclamation, the Principal, Magnus Ironhart, shifted his attention towards Aria and her team as his gaze landed on them.

In just a second, Principal Magnus immediately recognized them as he asked, "Aria? You’ve already attained the power of an A-rank Awakener? No, not only you, Mira, and Elyndra, even is no worse than an S-rank Awakener."

"Your team should have broken the record for having the highest Awakener rank and power achieved in the first Otherworld Mission."

Hearing the straightforward words of Principal Magnus that didn’t seem to hide his surprise, Aria nodded and didn’t hide her power. Not that she even could, as she was way weaker than Principal Magnus and couldn’t even see through what level of power he had.

However, Elyndra, who was familiar with SSS-rank Awakeners, couldn’t help but comment, "Principal, was your Otherworld Mission successful? If I’m not mistaken, your power should already have reached the ranks of SSS-rank Awakeners."

Hearing Elyndra’s comment, Principal Magnus praised, "As expected of the Valtoria Empire’s Crown Princess, you are as perceptive as always, Elyndra."

Just after praising Elyndra for her perceptiveness, Magnus became serious as he solemnly spoke, "Mira, are those white humanoids the servants you summoned? I can see that they are assisting the evacuation of the citizens, so I can’t help but thank you on behalf of those citizens."

"But fret not, I’ve returned as soon as I could after being informed by the Earth Will. Moreover, Edenbridge City seems to be protected by an invisible barrier, and any attacks below SSS-rank will be absorbed by it, even protecting weak and powerless civilians from harm."

"From what I know, an SS-rank Dimensional Gate should have descended in Edenbridge City, and even the Monster Lord Skarnax invaded the city. Fortunately, someone managed to intercept and defeat him, even setting up a sanctuary within the city, protecting everything within the city from harm."

"The SS-rank Dimensional Gate has also been destroyed by him, so unless a new one pops up, Edenbridge City is safe for the meantime."

When they heard Principal Magnus’ words, Elyndra and her teammates were undoubtedly relieved. Even if an SSS-rank Demon King or Monster King were to invade, the principal was present to deal with such problems, so they weren’t worried.

Nevertheless, Elyndra was curious about the Awakener who saved Edenbridge City from Monster Lord Skarnax, so she asked, "Principal, do you know the Awakener who defeated Skarnax and saved the city?"

Elyndra’s curiosity was mostly due to her not recognizing any notable SS-rank Awakeners within Edenbridge City aside from the Vice Principal and Principal, but the latter had already become an SSS-rank Awakener.

Furthermore, Monster Lord Skarnax wasn’t a nameless Monster Lord, as he was still a somewhat famous Monster Lord. The average SS-rank Awakener wouldn’t be able to defeat him and could at most fight him in a stalemate.

The Vice Principal of Edenbridge High was just an average SS-rank Awakener, and he shouldn’t be capable of defeating the SS-rank Monster Lord Skarnax.

So if it wasn’t the Vice Principal who intervened, then it’s either an Awakener from another city or nation who was tasked by the Earth Will to intervene, or a newly promoted Awakener who became a powerful, extraordinary SS-rank Awakener.

If it was the latter, Elyndra was curious to know who it was, as she wanted to establish a connection with them. After all, for her throne succession trial, having an extraordinary SS-rank Awakener or even an SSS-rank Awakener show their support for her would drastically increase her chances of winning the trial.

Magnus was also well aware of Elyndra’s thoughts, as he was familiar with the Valtoria Imperial Family and the Valtoria Empire. Or rather, it was due to his familiarity with them that they enrolled Elyndra in Edenbridge High rather than the other two top global schools, such as Astralis Academy and Valebreak Citadel.

However, Magnus didn’t mind it as compared to Elyndra’s royal sisters, who weren’t students of his school; he supported Elyndra more than them, which was why he was pleasantly surprised that Elyndra and Mira had already become S-rank Awakeners.

Yet, the sudden appearance of the mysterious Awakener coincided with our school year’s batch of First Otherworld Mission completions."
