Chapter 166: So that’s it?
Victoria wrapped her arms around his but Su Ping who already knew how she acted, easily evaded her.
" Then I’m truly blessed to have someone such as yourself caring for my well being." Su Ping said with a smile.
" Now if you would excuse me." Su Ping said while glancing at Gerald.
" I’ll be taking my leave." Su Ping said before walking out. Victoria’s lip’s curled upwards but she didn’t say about else, instead following after Su Ping.
Su Ping found his way out of the detention center but he wasn’t the least bit please because someone else was following him.
" Don’t you have matters you need to attend to back at the estate." Su Ping stopped walking and turned around to face Victoria who was trailing after him like his own shadow.
" Master why must you be so cold. If not for me, you might’ve still been locked up till now." Victoria displayed a wronged look. " I only came to help you."
" Well you’ve already helped me so you’re now free to go back to the estate."
" But I want to spend some more time with master." Victoria leaned onto his chest much to Su Ping’s displeasure. " You left in a hurry last night that I didn’t even get to say goodbye. Because of you, I couldn’t sleep properly last night." Victoria didn’t mind his cold gaze, she actually enjoyed it, she didn’t know why but the more he treated her like that the more she felt a strange, pleasurable feeling overwhelm her.
" Stop playing games with me. Tell me why it is you’re here in the first place..." Su Ping asked, he wasn’t interested in falling for her charms or anything else of the sort.
" Hmph... Well if master wants to know it’s because I missed you." Victoria huffed as if truly hurt. She then opened her cloak a little, staring at Su Ping. " I even prepared a gift for you just so master would spend sometime with me."
’ The f*ck is wrong with this woman.’ Su Pings eyes widened in disbelief because he saw that she actually wasn’t wearing anything underneath that cloak of hers.
" A-Are you insane?!" Su Ping said in a low tone, his voice filled with exasperation. He began doubting whether Victoria was an upright noblewoman or simply a perverted exhibitionist.
’ What kind of noble woman would walk around... No.’ Su Ping cut of his thoughts before grabbing Victoria’s wrist and leading her away.
’ This is a bit to much. let’s first get out of here before someone noticed anything .’ Su Ping said to himself. If she could do something this brazen in broad daylight, who knew what she would do next. If it was Hella who did something like this, Su Ping wouldn’t be this worried but, Victoria was the viscount’s very own daughter.
Luckily for him, he wasn’t too far away from the bar, After walking for some time, they reached the bar.
’ Master? What’s he doing back here so soon...’ Vivian blinked in surprise when she saw Su Ping enter the building but when she saw him pulling Victoria along, she was even more confused but she didn’t say anything.
She knew not to ask unnecessary questions that would get her in danger. Ranger who was watching over the entire bar acted as if he didn’t see anything.
Su Ping took Victoria into one of the rooms upstairs. He didn’t need to check to know which room wasn’t occupied so he found one that was empty and sent her inside.
" Don’t try to go anywhere, just wait here." Su Ping said before heading downstairs to the bar. This heiress was really giving him a headache.
’ This woman... Maybe I should just take my chances with a direct confrontation?’ Su Ping rubbed his temple but soon shook his head to disperse the thought. ’ I promised Mel Mel, so the least I can do is give it a try till the very end.’ Su Ping sighed.
" Master, is there something you need?" Vivian asked in a hush tone when Su Ping came to the bar.
" Yes. By chance, do you happen to have any extra clothes on you." Su Ping asked, looking helpless.
" Clothes?"
’ Why would master want my clothes?’ Vivian became confused.
" I do have some, please wait a minute. I’ll go get them right now." Vivian rushed off but Su Ping held her shoulder stopping her.
" I need only one, a dress would do just fine." Su Ping said. He didn’t need her bringing him all his garments, all he wanted was for something to use and cover up Victoria, nothing more, nothing less.
Vivian nodded before leaving, Su Ping waited at the counter until she returned.
" Here you go master." Vivian handed him a neatly folded blue dress, the dress was quite nice on the eyes which made Su Ping conclude that this must’ve been one of her best clothes.
" Good." Su Ping nodded before placing a silver coin on the counter. " You can use that and buy yourself another one."
" Thank you master." Vivian said before picking up the coin.
Su Ping then headed back upstairs to the room he had left Victoria in. " Welcome back master." Su Ping felt his body being pressed against bare, supple skin the moment he walked through the door.
" Put this on now." Su Ping glanced at Victoria who’s nude body was latching onto him before he placed the folded dress on her head.
Victoria face scrunched up, looking upset but when she saw her Masters growing displeasure, she giggled before grabbing the cloth he had passed onto her. She then got dressed in front of him.
" This isn’t what I’m used to but what do you think Master." Vivian said while turning her body from side to side. " Don’t you think I look beautiful in this master?" She asked with a smile.
" Sure, your beautiful." Su Ping said with a tired sigh. " When you get back to the estate, I need you to do something for me." Su Ping took a seat on the bed and said.
" Oh? Do tell master, what is it you wish for me to do." Victoria sat right next to him, leaning on his body, her eyes filled with eagerness to be of use to him.
" I want you to make sure that for the next few days, that your father doesn’t get involved in this incident that’s happening in Rose City." Su Ping said.
’ Someone killing and stealing corpses? This situation is the perfect opportunity for me to finally break through to Lvl 3.’ Su Ping laughed inwardly, eager to begin his next plan to increase his strength.
" Well I don’t think I need to do anything master."
" From what I know, my father believes that the McClain’s are the ones behind this incident and he’s already sent them a letter so that they can settle this matter."
"It should take about a few days for their reply to reach us, So that should be enough time for you to do as you wish." Victoria said with a smile.
’ The McClain’s are the one’s behind this?’ Su Ping said to himself. He already knew that they were a neighboring fief with the rank of Viscounts, just like the Montgomery’s but, he found it highly unlikely that they were the one behind this.
After all, from what he could guess, they were probably still preparing for the clash that would happen soon, in other for both viscount’s to decide who would lay claim to the mana stone mine that appeared in-between their territory’s.
’ It seems reasonable for them to try and cause disorder within the Montgomery family’s territory by doing this but, from what I know of them so far, they aren’t that brazen. If they were, I don’t think they would stop trying to assassinate members of the Montgomery household even when they returned to their estate.’
’ Also, if they really are behind this, then they must know that the Montgomery’s can do the same to them.’
’ If I were the Patriarch of the McClain household, I wouldn’t want to bring such unnecessary complications to my doorstep when I’m already in the process of chasing after something as valuable as the mana stone mine.’
’ My earlier proposition that the perpetrator is someone from Rose City is highly more likely, especially since I have an inkling as to who is behind this.’ A cruel sneer emerged on Su Ping’s lips when he recalled this point.
Victoria was surprised by her masters sudden shift in demeanor but the next moment, a smile bloomed on her face as well, She knew what that type of look on his face implied and because of it, she was glad because it also meant her master would soon reveal his true self.
After coming up with a plan of action, Su Ping and Victoria left the bar and headed their separate
ways, although Victoria was strongly reluctant to leave his side, she gave in when Su Ping turned stern.
