Chapter 153 Demon Generals
CHAPTER 153: CHAPTER 153 DEMON GENERALS
"What are you doing outside the dorm? I gave a clear instruction," Clara shouted as she ran towards Aurelia, who was on the ground.
She had blood on her mouth from the single hit she got, even though she buffed herself, it still wasn’t enough to stop the attack from the demon.
Roman sat on the ground in front of the door. He had no idea what would have happened if he hadn’t used his illusion. Ava would have been killed. He also couldn’t understand why she didn’t move.
Clara helped Aurelia to her feet, and Rae and Anna finally exited the dorm. Both of them rushed towards Aurelia, and Clara walked towards Ava.
Alder didn’t speak or shout at them because she was the one who left the dorm unguarded. With the way the demons moved, she didn’t expect any of the demons to end up in the academy.
She was just glad none of the students got hurt, and the princess was one of the students. If the princess had been killed, she had no idea what would happen.
Mary and the other mages from the research department had already left with teleportation because Victoria and Evelyn were not in the kingdom.
She was the one who brought them back; that was the main reason the demons could get so close and even destroy the barrier.
"Were you injured?" Clara asked Ava, and she shook her head. She was still on her knees.
"Alright, back inside...the threat is almost over," Clara spoke, and Roman walked towards Ava and helped her to her feet.
Aurelia had been healed by Rae since she wasn’t injured badly, and the three of them went inside and back upstairs to their room.
As they walked back up, Reina was close to the stairs and let out a sigh of relief as she saw them. She was afraid to go past where she stood.
Even if she had a summon, she still wouldn’t be able to face a demon currently, and she wasn’t ready to throw her life away.
They made it back to the room and Ava sat on her bed quietly. She hadn’t said a word since the fight. Her hands were still shaking a little and she couldn’t look any of them in the eye.
Aurelia dropped her sword by the wall and sat on the ground beside her. "You okay?" she asked.
Ava nodded slowly. "I couldn’t move, not only that I couldn’t cast any spells once I saw the demon charging towards me," she whispered.
"It’s fine," Roman said, sitting on his bed. "We’re all still alive. That’s what matters."
"I thought I was dead. In that moment, I forgot how to cast spells and just froze. I should have been killed, but the demon missed. If Clara and Alder hadn’t arrived, we would have all been killed." Ava clenched her teeth as tears began falling down her face.
"I thought I could take the demon on...I guess I was wrong. Or maybe this demon was a little powerful" Aurelia muttered as she stretched her body.
She was the only one not fazed by this.
"I thought I was powerful, I guess I was over my head...I need to get stronger," Ava said softly, more to herself than anyone else.
"Nothing else to do than train, but the bigger problem, how did that many demons reach the capital?" Aurelia muttered into the room.
’This is going horribly, what if the demon lord is preparing to attack, I can’t even face a demon, not to mention a general or the final villain’

Far away from Avalon and the other two kingdoms, in a dead and dry land, a shadow flew across the sky from a portal.
It was fast, with wings like a bat, gliding smoothly through the wind.
The creature dropped lower and landed on a cracked, dusty ground.
As soon as its feet touched the earth, its body began to change. The leathery wings folded in and vanished, its shape twisting and shrinking. In just a few seconds, it had fully transformed into a tall, handsome male.
His hair was pitch black, falling just above his shoulders. Two sharp horns curved out from the top of his head, and his red eyes glowed faintly in the light.
He wore a long black coat that fluttered in the wind, and his boots left deep marks in the dry ground as he walked.
This place was empty and lifeless. The sky above was grey, and the air felt cold and still. But to him, this land was home.
He stood for a moment, looking ahead at the massive dark castle in the distance—the heart of Vernhall, the demon land. A small smirk appeared on his lips.
The man walked forward, and in a few seconds, he was already in front of the door.
The demon walked into the large, dark castle. The walls were made of black stone, and the air was cold and quiet. At the center of the main hall was a long, wide table made of bones and dark wood.
Only three others were seated there—and they were all female.
The first sat with her legs crossed, lazily spinning a dagger between her fingers. Her skin was pale purple, and she had short silver hair with glowing purple eyes. A long tail flicked behind her chair. She glanced at the male demon but didn’t speak.
The second wore a black cloak that covered most of her body. Her face was hidden behind a smooth white mask with a crack down the side. Long black hair spilled out from her hood. A strange dark mist floated around her as she leaned back, arms folded.
The third was tall and slim, with pale white skin and a crown on her head. She had blond hair, and her eyes were crimson; her sharp teeth showed when she smiled.
She wore tight armor made of dragon steel covering just her hands and legs, she was almost naked except for a thin strap covering her delicate.
She had a large dragon tail, and her fingers tapped the table impatiently.
The male demon—now in human form—walked forward and sat at the end of the table.
"You’re late," the dragon demon said, voice calm but cold.
"I was scouting just like you instructed" he replied, his voice too feminine.
"I was able to break through their defenses, but I’m sure all the other demons I brought with me are already dead," He replied again in a feminine voice.
"Did you come across them?" The dragon demon asked, her hands resting on the table.
"Two overwhelmingly powerful humans, one of them controlling darkness and the other controlling wind and fire, no, I did not," He replied with a smile.
"Are you talking about the humans who made you retreat ten years ago? Maybe you made them up to cover up for your defeat?" The purple demon chuckled as she spoke.
The dragon demon turned towards her, her face stoic; she didn’t speak or react, before taking her eyes off her.
"Why do you always choose to go with this form, turn into your original female form this instant" The masked demon spoke.
"You know why I’m in this form, Maze likes me in this form," He spoke turning towards the first purple demon who had a smile on her face.
"I like her in her male form, she’s the only one among us that can shapeshift, and we get to have sex all day without getting tired, just talking about it is making me horny, I think we should excuse ourselves" The purple demon Maze spoke.
"You know fully well you can’t leave, she told us to gather here, I think the time is coming" the dragon demon spoke.
The room went quiet for a moment after the dragon demon spoke. The shapeshifter leaned back in the chair and crossed one leg over the other, still smiling.
"So... what now?" Maze asked, flipping the dagger between her fingers again. Her tone was playful, but her eyes were sharp. "We sit here and wait like loyal dogs?"
The dragon demon narrowed her eyes. "We follow orders. She said to prepare. That means something big is coming, maybe we’ll get to attack soon"
"And what if she doesn’t return?" the masked demon said. Her voice was calm, but the mist around her got thicker. "It’s been years. What if she’s dead?"
"She’s not," the dragon demon answered without hesitation. "We’d feel it if she was. The connection still exists, besides I don’t think we’ll be alive if she’s dead"
The shapeshifter looked between them, still smiling. "If she comes back... do you think she’ll be pleased with how far the humans have come?"
"No," Maze said, standing and stretching. Her tail flicked lazily behind her. "They’ve gotten too strong"
"Then we need to strike before they get stronger," The masked demon spoke.
"But not yet. We wait for the order."
